Chapter 6

Namine wiped her tears away, smiled at Kairi, and said to her, "Let's go see Sora." She took Kairi's hand and led her over to Sora's flower, which held him peacefully sleeping as everything was okay, and that everybody was relieved, happy. But sadly, things didn't work that way the last few days. Namine still smiled back at Sora, and she placed the healing flower, which had two more petals left, into Kairi's hands. Kairi looked the slightest bit surprised at this, but Namine hushed her and whispered, "He would have wanted you to heal him."

Kairi's eyes filled with tears of sadness, flowing down her soft, innocent cheeks as she smiled back sincerely, accepting the flower, and walked over to the sleeping flower. "Namine... How do you open the flower?"

Namine's eyes shifted over to the flower and she thought for a moment... Yes, that was the way to open it. A key. There was a keyhole in the very middle of the sleeping flower. Namine in fact had all the keys to all the sleeping flowers, being the previous servant of the Organization 13. She searched in her little bag she had previously placed her belongings inside, feeling for a cold steel to make her soft hands shake. And there was the key, held in Namine's hand, out of all the other keys opening to the peaceful sanctuary behind behind the giant lavender petals closing in on them.

Namine took the key and stabbed the keyhole desperately, then shouted, "Open!"

The doors of the sleeping flower opened gracefully, steam driving out, as Sora still majestically floated in front of Kairi and Namine. Kairi ran over to Sora, and carefully opened his shut lips, which were curled into a peaceful smile... Disturbingly like Roxas' when he was in his state of sleep. Kairi pushed the petal inside Sora's now open mouth, and closed it for him. The sleeping boy of course did not respond immediately; but his mouth started to process the petal as his ocean blue eyes gradually appeared behind lids, and his feet finally touched the little ground of the sleeping flower. He looked at Kairi, his face expressing relief and delight to see his best friend again. He hurried over to a now crying Kairi and pulled her into his arms, his lips touching her's and his head against her's. Namine smiled at the sigh. The two reminded her of Roxas and herself...

Sora finally let go of Kairi, still holding her in a hug as he rested his head on her shoulder. He was now looking at a sweetly smiling Namine, whom had tears in her eyes, and had blushed when he caught her eyes. He sadly smiled, a sorry look, emphasizing her sadness. She couldn't hold back tears any longer. She cried just as Kairi did, feeling coldness remind her she was lonely, no Roxas to pull her into a tight hug. Sora pulled away from a smiling Kairi, who then gave a sorry look, like Sora's, and he grabbed at Namine, hugging her too, like he did to Kairi. He whispered, his warm breath hot to her neck, "Everything will be alright, Roxas will come back, I know he will..."

Namine's eyes closed as one more tear ran down her cheek, and she finally stood up, as for Sora, who did the very same. She looked at both Sora and Kairi, and nodded with bravery in her gentle blue eyes. "We need to heal Roxas, then track down the one who started this all..."

The problem was, where was the one who started this?...

And where was Roxas?

1 hour later.

"Ready, both of you?" Sora asked the two girls who were packed, and fed with scraps of things they could find. The girls both nodded, and Namine wondered aloud, "I wonder where Roxas is though.."

Sora nodded back, specifically at Namine, and he closed his eyes for a long moment. Minutes passes of utter silence spilling no words. Finally, Sora's eyes opened as he confidently replied to Namine's wondering, "He is outside the main room of Castle Oblivion, with the big door thingy, and he is getting extremely warmer to us. We gotta act damn fast!"

Namine at the very moment could hear a disturbing sound of footsteps coming closer to the room...

Kairi screamed, "WHERE ARE WE GOING TO GO? HE IS RIGHT AT OUR DOORSTEP!"

Sora smirked, outstretched his hand and in it was wielded a keyblade, oathkeeper... Of which Roxas held Oblivion. Namine grabbed a weapon she hadn't used in a long while- a sketchbook of which held great power in changing Sora's memory, or anybody's related to him. She couldn't draw a quick event, she needed to have time. She couldn't draw Roxas away from the very door of the room they were in at the moment... She was able to draw him only being trapped or damaged, but that would have to come after Roxas had found the three comrades.

Kairi drew her beautiful keyblade, and held it in her position as Namine stood in the very back, her pencil touching the paper, ready for the disaster about to come...

And there went a gigantic explosion through the door, smoke rising from the entrance, as a figure in a black cloak walked unharmed towards the three friends, his stare still as cold and angry as ever. Namine was about to drown in his gaze once more; in fact, he was looking directly down at her, drawing his Oblivion and shifting his eyes over then to Kairi. Kairi shook as if she was going to die, but she still held her keyblade tight, ready for Roxas. Sora found the chance to hit the distracted Roxas, who was focusing on where the impact point of damage would be on Kairi. He slashed the Oathkeeper across Roxas' back and Namine found the chance to trap Roxas, by drawing giant, green vines suffocating the boy. There went the last run on the paper, and before even Namine knew it, vines were surrounding a terrified Roxas, and squeezing him tight. Tight to the point of making Roxas surrender and drop his keyblade, falling unconscious on the floor. He fell to Namine's feet, which did not step back. In fact, Namine kneeled and picked Roxas up, laying him on her knees and holding him, taking the last petal of the healing plant and placing it against Roxas' soft lips. Namine waited, a tear falling down her cheek as she feared he would not wake up. A moment passed. Namine couldn't believe it... She wanted to see Roxas again. She cried hard, so hard to the point she felt weak. She wanted to die with Roxas, and let Sora and Kairi escape... She grabbed her sketchbook...

Roxas' beautiful, deep blue eyes slowly opened to the sight of Namine crying over him.

Before Namine knew it, she was the one held now against somebody's arms. She felt lips touch hers. She opened her eyes. There was Roxas, hugging her tight to the point of never letting her go, pulling her into a kiss, passionate and long. Namine was back with her best friend.

Roxas.
