Alice was sitting in the living room of her grandmama's house with her twin five year old cousins, Rose and Daisy, her uncle Pat, her parents and her little sister Cynthia. She had on her best shirt and jeans and sensible shoes. She was trying so hard to not bring attention to herself but of course everyone kept looking to her. How she wished her Aunt Ronnie would hurry up with Uncle Troy.

"So how is the rainy state?" Uncle Pat asked as he recrossed his legs.

"Rainy." Alice replied with a soft chuckle. "It's rare to get above 70."

Uncle Pat laughed and shook his head. "Ain't that something. I don't know how Ronnie and you can do it. I need heat and sunshine."

Alice giggled softly as she focused on her favorite uncle. She remembered him as being the easiest one she could talk to and he actually seemed to like her. "We manage. When there are warm and cloud free days everyone at school just has a field day."

Uncle Pat chuckles heartily and replies. "poor kids don't even know what a sun burn feels like."

Alice laughed softly and looked up when the door opened and she let out a tiny sigh of relief when she saw her Aunt Ronnie. Though she hated the woman it felt better for her to be here with her. "Where's Uncle Troy?"

"He's taking the car to get some gas and gonna pick something up for dinner." Ronnie replied with a shrug as she went over and took an empty seat. "So what did I miss?"

"Talking about the weather up there in Washington. Don't know how you do it, sis." Pat said with a teasing smirk on his face.

"It's not that bad, Pat. You should come up for a visit." Ronnie declared with a chuckle.

"Naw might get stuck up there with all that rain." Pat said with a smile. "You like it up there, Ali-cat?"

Alice looked away from the window when her uncle addressed her and she gave a nod of her head. "Yes, sir. I really like my school and I've met some people who are nice." She purposely left out the bit about the Cullen's. She knew her parents would be all over her once they found out she had made such great friends and they would probably freak out when they found out that Jasper was indeed real.

"Any boyfriends?" Uncle Pat asked with a smirk.

"Eww boys are gross, daddy." Daisy, the oldest twin said.

"That's right." Rose agreed with her sister.

"Good. Keep thinking that, darlin's." Pat said with a firm nod of his head as he looked to his only children.

Alice chuckled and before she could reply her Aunt Ronnie replied. "Yeah she does. She met some boy in school and the pair of them have been inseparable."

Alice bit back a groan and she ignored the way her parents sat up a bit more in their seats.

"Oh really? What's his name? Boy better be treating you right." Uncle Pat declared as he looked to his niece.

Alice went to reply but her Uncle Troy came in and she let out a sigh of relief.

"Finally. Took you long enough, Troy. Mama has been complaining about not having her apple juice and we've been sitting here hungry for the last hour." Wendy, Alice's mother, complained as soon as her oldest brother walked into the room.

Alice looked to her mother as she spoke and she nibbled her bottom lip. She could tell that was where she got her petite form from and her black hair from. She remembered a time when her mother use to play in her hair and braid it before she fell asleep. She held back tears and wiped at her face a bit as she quickly looked away. That was before the visions got bad and before her father got scared of Alice. She stole a glance to her steely eyed father. She had gotten her eyes from him and that was it. She was nothing like her father and was proud of that. Just like Jim Brandon was proud that his daughter was nothing like him, he didn't want to be considered a freak. She took in a soft breath and she looked out towards the window once more in hopes of catching a glimpse of her boyfriend. Though she had told that impossible man that she didn't need him to follow her down south he had done it anyway. Esme and Carlisle had agreed to let him go as long as Edward or Emmett went with him. They didn't want their youngest son to be pulled into the dramas of the south once more. So Edward had went with his brother and Bella had stayed behind, though Bella didn't like that idea very much.

"Alice?" Aunt Ronnie called for probably the fifth time. "Stop day dreaming and go get the bags out of the car."

Alice blinked and she nods her head with a little blush. "Sorry." She muttered as she stood up and rushed outside and went to the car. She could hear another pair of feet coming behind her and she smiled a little when she saw it was her Uncle Troy. "Hey."

"Hey." Troy Brandon said gruffly. He was a shy man and didn't make that much noise. But he loved his niece and was happy that she was home. He led her to the pickup truck and helped her with the bags. "So your aunt was tellin me about this boy yer dating." He finally said as he went to the back door. "He treating ya right?"

Alice blushed and nods her head. "Of course he is, Uncle Troy. Total gentleman. My Jasper was born in the south so he knows how to treat a lady." She chuckled when she saw her Uncle's blush and watched as he went back to his truck. She walked into the kitchen with a little smile.

"Jasper." A male voice repeated with frown

Alice's eyes widen as she looked to her father, who had been standing in the kitchen, and she nibbled her bottom lip as she placed the bag of fried chicken down on the table. "Yes, sir."

"Jasper.." Jim repeated once more as he looked to his small daughter. He knew that name. Why did that name ring bells in his head He frowned a bit as it finally hit him. "Jasper was that boy he saw in your delusions."

Alice shook her head quickly as she stepped back. "No it's not."

"Don't lie to me girl. You been filling your aunt with those lies? Who have you been with up there in Washington? You know Jasper isn't real." Jim hissed as he moved towards her and gripped her wrist tightly.

Alice's eyes widen as she looked from his hand on her wrist to his eyes. "Daddy. I'm not lying I swear he is real."

Jim growled as he gripped her wrist tighter and tugged her outside. "You are a freak and a liar and I don't want those lies spread in my mother's home."

Alice was struggling against him and looked with wide eyes as he dragged her towards the trees. "Daddy! Please. I'm not lying. Let me go!" she felt tears well in her eyes as she saw the familiar little cabin he would take her to so she could "pay for her sins." She struggled harder and started crying out for help. "Jasper!" she cried as she struggled.

Jim backhanded her hard and watched as she fell to the ground. He shook his head as her head hit a rock and he picked up her limp body and took her inside the cabin. He shut the door behind them and placed Alice on the little cot. He then went about getting his things together and he sighed. "I knew this was going to end like this Mary Alice. I knew you needed something stronger than those meds ya mama gave you."

Alice woke up as she felt pressure on her wrist. She slowly opened her eyes and she whimpered softly when she father kneeling beside her and tying her up. "D-" she couldn't get the rest out. She realized she had something stuck in her mouth. She frowned as she struggled to move under the heavy leather straps. She could feel something on her forehead and something on her temples as well. Her eyes widen as she tried to look around the room and she struggled even more.

"This for your own good." Jim declared as he sat up and went to a little machine that rested on the table beside her bed. He didn't really know what he was doing but he had read enough to get the jest off it. "Just don't bite your tongue off." He then flipped the switch and started a low voltage.

Alice's eyes widen and she cried out in pain as she felt the shocks coursing through her body. She was panting heavily when he stopped and she struggled not to throw up when she saw him up the voltage. Please…Someone help me..she thought pitifully as she struggled felt another shock go through her. She saw black spots enter her vision and she let herself slip into the darkness as the pain only got worse.

Hiya people. I know I suck but I lost inspiration for this story for a while. But I finally have it back and I might just be on a roll. The next chapter should be up later tonight, well if I don't fall asleep. Anywho please don't jump down my throat about the whole Shock treatment thing I did the best I could with what I knew and well it just goes with how the story is going to go now.
