chapter 5

Interruptin alert

Alert, alert. Interruption alert
Rolling her eyes back, lowly grunted and exhaled irritated. "Peter? Kevin?" Author called, waiting a reply. Both sniggered and huddled behind in the shadows whilst poking thier heads in the doorway. "Peter, Kevin. If it is you, please come out and stop been like children." They continued their sniggering, rolling her eyes again and exhaled. Then she smiled, when had a idea come to her.

"I know what will bring them out." the author chuckled and held a finger against her lips, signalling silence. "Shh, our little secret dearys."

"Secret?" Kevin and peter repeated in unison, raised thier brows. "I told ya, onward to the continuance of the following chapter." the author winked.

Alexia finally regained her breathe after laughing continuously and dried her cheeks. Looking to her left and realised the time and immediately sprung up on her feet. "Oh crap, I'm so going to be late to the comic store!"

Hurriedly through her drawers and grabbed the first outfit, easy to dress in. Quickly made a egg sandwich for breakfast and rushed out the door, nearly tripped over herself as she locked the door. "Damnit." she cursed and tripped again but luckily her neighbour caught and broke her fall whilst he stood within the doorway of his apartment entrance.

"Shouldn't take the saying literally, you know." Ian smiled. "Thanks Ian, and very funny." Alexia answered, gaining her balance. "Would you like to have lunch sometime?" Ian asked, hoping.

"Um, I have to get to work." she answered, stepping down luckily whilst Ian sighed as he stepped aside and watched her leave. Turned on his heel, throwing his keys to the table, once he walked in his apartment. Pushed the door close behind him, grumbly walked to the living room and flopped in the couch as he turned the television on and the reporter with a striking beautiful woman stood before the camera.

"What does this green stone statue symbolise and why does it appear to be someone like a emperor?" the reporter asked. "Both very good questions and very good answers, I will share." Portia answered, turned slightly as she glanced upon the statue momentum. "This is a memorial statue for my late father and dedicated to the people of the city."

"There you have it, a memorial library given and dedicated to the public. This is pamela egerton reporting; channel 9 news. Back to you, bill." Pamela paused, handing the microphone to the cameraman and clasped her hands as she said with a smile. "Thankyou again, Ms Merlotte."

Portia smiled, chuckled and replied. "No thankyou for your help and broadcasting the good part of my late father."

"Welcome, maybe we could do lunch sometime." Pamela wondered, waiting for a reply. "Sounds nice but sorry, I have to decline." Pamela smiled and nodded. "That's fine."

Meanwhile, kirby comics. Alexia panted, gasping for breathe as she rushed in the door and removed her jacket with her bag and hurriedly hungon the hangers in the locker room. Lightly tsked and tapping on a gold watch which had attracted her attention. Still breathed out and said apologetically. "I know, I know. I'm sorry." Alexia stopped and noticed she was tricked.

"Oh, you didn't." She said, folding her arms. "It was priceless." Fred laughed and teased. "You still have 3 minutes."

"Meanie." Alexia fumed, walked out to the counter and begun her shift. Fred chuckled, followed out after her. The day drew tiring and quiet until the delivery man had arrived and wheeled a trolley of new published comics. "Hey Alexia." delivery man greeted, handing the clipboard to her and she uninterestedly replied.

"Hello Raul. What's new?"

Raul shrugged his shoulders and replied with a tired smiled. "Nothing much but a large stock of new comics."

"Yeah, like what new comic to be exact?" Fred wondered. "Batman, I think." Raul replied, uncertain. "Oh wow, joy. I'm so excited." Alexia grumbled, handing the clipboard back. "See you next time, Raul."

"Likewise Alexia." Raul farewelled, leaving the shop to get the next lot of boxes. Fred took one box and opened the top leaflet, his eyes widened surprised as he gasped. "Why you gasp, fred?" Alexia asked.

"It couldn't be that shocking." She continued and looked over his shoulder and her eyes widened to the sight of the cover. "Oh my gosh." She gaspily stated and continued. "It's a crossover comic."

"Um, and that is exciting?" Fred said, glancing back to Alexia. "That is exciting as how many are there?" Alexia wondered, excitedly smiled. Fred lightly chuckled and smiled back as he said, complimenting. "You are for sure a nerd. Just like your old man."

"Yeah, dad loved comics and miss him."
"I know, me too. He was a good man." Alexia smiled.

The author sniggered quietly as she prepared the lure out to hopefully draw both peter and kevin. The pair contnued to hide away and wondered what exactly she had planned to bring them out of hiding.

"Wonder what she mean by secret?" kevin wondered to peter, he shrugged and sheepishly smiled. "Have no idea, kevin." The author giggled and inhaled as she exhaled the secret she had in mind. Using a fan to fan out the aroma and waited. Kevin and peter couldnt resist and bolted out, begun munching on the peanut butter and jelly pizza. "Works every time." she winked.
