She sighed as she sat in the car with her mom and dad in the front while she and Allie sat in the back.

Her dad had insisted on giving her the play by play on everything that had happened in the past seven years and it was driving her crazy.

She smiled a little feeling Allie rest her head on her shoulder and snuggle up close to her. "He missed you, hell we all missed you." Her sister said sincerely as she wrapped her arm around hers.

"You should visit more."

"Dad and mom would love it, and Alec and I would too." She added making her swallow the lump of emotion forming in her throat.

"I know, I'll try harder, its just…" She stopped feeling her guard slipping as tears threatened her eyes.

"I know, with everything that happened with Silas and all, I get it."

" I just hope everything is different after this week." Allie stated hope evident in her tone.

"So what's the theme for the wedding, since you have told darn near everyone else but your maid of honor."

"Which is kinda backwards ya know." She teased making her sister bolt up straight as she beamed in excitement.

"Oh god your gonna love it, now don't laugh but it's…Disney fairytale!" She announced excitedly making her bite her tongue and hold her breath to try to stop the laughter threatening to spill out, until she finally failed and laughed uncontrollably making Allie smack her arm playfully.

"Oh I knew you'd laugh." She insisted making it harder for her to stop laughing.

"What I can't figure out is why we just didn't go there in the first place and have an actual Disney wedding?" She asked making Allie pout and sigh in annoyance.

"We were gonna but they wanted 100,000 for the wedding I wanted." She informed frustrated, making her choke on the deep breath she took in disbelief as she began to cough.

"Holy hell that's a new house." She blurted making Allie nod curtly.

"Yep so daddy said we would do it ourselves for cheaper, and it's going to be amazing." Allie beamed again making her smile.

"Sounds like it." She agreed and snorted in laughter.

"Disney wedding." She muttered earning a sigh and a smack to the arm from her sister before she rested her head against her shoulder again as they rode.

"So then, what's the line up?" She asked a little more seriously now although she was still dying inside from her sister revelation.

"Tomorrow night we are gonna have the ball, so we have to go get our dresses for that from Mrs. Fran's shop."

"Tonight is just drinks at the house by the pool."

Then after the ball tomorrow we have to get fitted for the actual dresses for Saturday, then the bachlorette party the next day."

"Which leaves one day of dance lessons which we all know you probably don't need." Her sister added making her smile and roll her eyes as she hinted at her former passion for everything dance.

"Then a day of family fun, and then the rehearsal dinner before the big day." Allie finished in defeat.

"Sounds awesome, lets just hope there's enough alcohol for this weekend." She teased making Allie laugh and straighten up as they turned down the dirt road towards their home.

"Home sweet home." She whispered as she walked in the front door and looked around.

It hadn't changed in the past years at all.

She felt her dad urging her towards the stairs and sighed as she started for her former room knowing full and well that it was where she was sleeping. She turned left as she reached the top of the stairs and started down the hallway until she reached her destination.

She sighed as she pushed open the door and looked around at her old room.

It was a pale sea foam green color with crème colored carpet and a queen size bed smack dab in the middle of it with a warm brown colored comforter and cream colored sheets. She sighed as she pulled in her suitcase and leaned it against the wall behind the door before launching herself onto her old bed.

She laid there and inhaled the ever present scent of lavender on her sheets. She heard a small knock at the door and looked up to see Shay peaking in. She smiled and waved her over to which she obliged and mocked her previous action.

She looked over at her and sighed. "This is gonna make, or break my sanity ya know. Shay explained making her look at her puzzled.

"What is exactly?" She asked curiously.

"Sharing a room and a bed with Kelly. since your mom is in denial that we are just friends and I like chicks." Shay pointed out making her laugh as the blonde rolled her eyes and did the same.

"You can always come crawl in bed with me." Marina offered making Shay smile.

"Nah better chance of you molesting me then Kelly doing it." Shay teased making her laugh and smack her arm affectionately.

"Yeah well I tried." She said in defeat.

"Shouldn't you be calling a certain squad lieutenant anyway?" Shay asked in a teasing voice making her smile a little as she remembered last night again.

"Yeah think I'll make him sweat a little." She explained closing her eyes.

"Oh man that's mean, ya know he's probably been sitting by the phone, all day, just waiting for it to ring." Shay drew out teasingly.

"Shut up." She laughed making Shay smirk.

"Okay maybe Clarke's not that bad about it yet but, ya never know." Shay explained making her ponder over it for a minute.

"He's a good guy." She finally stated making shay nod in agreement.

She rolled her eyes and sighed as her phone chimed above her head on her pillow. She reached up and grabbed it and smiled as she started to laugh.

"Speak of the devil." She informed making Shay roll over and lean closer to her in curiosity.

"Oh texting now, things sure are going fast." Shay teased making her sigh in annoyance.

"Shut up." She said playfully not being able to stop the smile tugging at her lips.

She slid open the phone and waited as the message loaded. She erupted in laughter as it came up and she felt Shay take in a deep breath before going off the handle.

"That bitch, that man loving whore, I'm gonna kill her." Shay roared as she stared at the picture of a brand new blender and bottle of margarita mix next to a plate of salt lime juice and margarita glasses.

In the picture stood Gabby leaning against the bar with a smug face lifting her glass at them. Underneath the picture was the message. "Show to shay when your safe at home." She smiled as Shay continued to seethe beside her.

She loved gabby for being able to get under the blondes skin, like Shay did to everyone else and share the laugh. Shay had been on Gabby for a few weeks now with getting a margarita machine and drinking tequila but, Gabby had said they didn't have the money for one. Thus no margarita nights for them until now.

"Oh god she sent it to me now."

"That's it I'm finding Kelly." She fussed jumping to her feet and walking towards the door only to stop and turn back towards her.

"When you talk to Clarke, tell him he better hope I don't find out he helped." Shay informed making her laugh again as the blonde stormed down the hall towards her room.

She sighed as she stared at the phone in her hand and sighed as she got up and walked towards her door as she clicked on his number. She closed the door and sighed as she listened to it ring a few times before she fell back onto her bed. She rolled her eyes in defeat as she reached his voicemail and waited for the tone.

"Hey sorry I didn't call sooner, been crazy, Shay says your dead if you helped."

"Call me later I guess." She said the last part with a sigh and hung up tossing her phone back behind her onto her pillow. She had things she had to do to get ready for tonight but god help her she didn't want to move.

Clarke

He sighed as he sat at the table in the common room while most of the guys slept. He had listened to the voicemail again. from the blue eyed girl that had been on his brain all day, for the third time. He wasn't sure why he wasn't calling her back yet but something was stopping him.

He sighed as he dropped his phone onto the table with a thud and ran his hands down his face in frustration.

He liked this girl, a lot, but at the same time he barely knew her.

Then again he had spent the past two days getting to know her at a quick pace, hell he knew her favorite color and something about her no one else knew.

"Damn it." He cursed finally making up his mind and getting to his feet. He needed advice and there was only one place this late at night he could get it.

He walked towards the office and tapped on the chiefs door. "Clarke come in." Chief Bradwall summoned making him sigh as he closed the door and walked in.

"Hey chief, look I got something to take care of real quick, it cool if I take off for an hour to handle it?" He asked nervously.

He swallowed hard as the man before him leaned back in his chair and studied him quietly. "Whatever it is go fix it, its been affecting you all day." The man ordered making Clarke sigh in relief at the chiefs wise smile then spread across his face.

"Thanks chief." He replied gratefully and left as he was shooed out.

He sighed as he walked into Molly's and spotted Herman at the end of the bar talking to Mouch and Otis. Gabby was serving up margaritas to a few ladies closer to him and smiled and waved as he walked in.

"Hey Clarke, what brings you here so late?" Herman asked as he shook hands with the men at the end before leaning onto the bar.

"I need advice about something and, you're the only one I could think of that could help." He explained getting to the point.

His nerves were on end as the man looked at him for a second then all three grew serious. "What's on your mind?" Herman asked.

"You know I've been trying to date again right?" Clarke asked causing the men before him to nod in agreement.

"Yeah so, did you finally find someone your interested in?" Otis asked making him bite his lower lip for a second before nodding slowly.

"I think I may have actually and, you know her," he explained looking up to meet Herman's gaze, "but I need your advice." He explained causing Hermann to look at him curiously before giving him a crooked smile.

"Its Marina, right?" He stated more then asked causing Mouch to choke on his drink he had just taken a sip of, and Otis to stare at him in disbelief.

"Your trying to court my girl." Mouch asked in shock making him smirk and nod slowly as he spoke.

"Thinking about it, been thinking about it a lot lately." He admitted making Herman chuckle.

"So then what's the problem? "Herman asked with a shrug.

"I need to know if its worth taking a risk on her or, if it's a waste of my time?" He asked making Herman sigh as he hung his head a little.

"Let me tell you something Jeff Clarke," Mouch started putting his drink back down on the bar.

"That girl is an amazing person and, she's been hurt badly but, if you can make her smile, and get her to let her guard down just a little bit."

"You go for it, cause she's worth it." Mouch explained almost in a fathering way.

He smirked as he nodded and looked up at Herman who was nodding slowly as he dried out a glass. "You don't need us to tell you what to do Clarke, but if your looking for advice about her let me put it to you like this."

"The girl came all the way to 51 to apologize to you, and then walked all the way to 25 and, brought you doughnuts."

"Chances are she likes you, she may not know it yet but, its there." Herman explained making him hang his head and laugh as he realized the gossip line of the fire houses.

"Thanks for the help guys, I'd best get back to 25 though." He explained shaking there hands.

"Good luck Clarke." Hermann called as he walked out of the bar. He sighed as he pulled out his phone and dialed back the number. It rang a few times and he was about to give up when she answered.

"Ya know it's not polite to make a lady wait." She stated sarcastically making him roll his eyes and smile.

"Well if I had known I was dealing with a lady I wouldn't have." He countered making her chuckle and sigh.

"How's things going over there?" He asked curiously.

"Other then the fact that your dead if you helped Gabby out, then a whole lot of annoyance."

"My mom and dad keep watching me like I'm going to disappear or something."

"Shay and now Kelly want to know what the deal is with us."

"It's one thing after another it seems." She explained with a defeated sigh. He smirked and ran a hand through his hair.

"So then what are you doing right now?" He asked leaning against his car.

"Sitting by the pool looking up at the moon and stars." She replied almost in a daze.

"It's beautiful out here." She explained. He closed his eyes trying to picture what she was looking at until she continued.

"What are you up too?"

"Working hard or hardly working?" She asked curiously.

He laughed at her question and shook his head as he straightened up, and turned around to rest his arms on the roof of his car.

"Nah, I'm actually doing almost the same thing, looking at the moon." He explained making her stay quiet for a moment.

"Sometimes, I wonder if people come into our lives for a specific reason." She mused making him swallow his response not wanting to push her to explained.

"In other news," she started a bit of annoyance in her tone, "I have to go to a ball, tomorrow night." She explained making him laugh at how much dread was in her tone.

"What's so bad about that?" He asked intrigued making her groan in frustration.

"I guess I didn't tell you what the theme for this wedding is?" She asked as he walked around to his car and got in.

"Nope, now tell me." He ordered playfully.

"Disney, she gushed, it's a freaking Disney themed wedding."

"The girl has hit her head, and to top it all off this whole week/ weekend is costing my parents right at 60,000." She explained outraged.

He let out a low whistle and shook his head, "That's almost a new house." He reasoned making her sigh in frustration.

"Tell me about it." She stated.

"Well I hope things get better for you." He stated gently.

"Me too." She replied.

He swallowed hard and rested his head against the steering wheel as he asked his next question.

"Can I call you tomorrow?" He asked hopeful

It was silent on the other end of the phone for a second and for a moment he thought he had pushed his luck.

"No, I'll call you, things are going to be so crazy tomorrow that I have no idea when I'll have a spare second so, I'll call you." She reasoned making him sigh in defeat as he leaned against his seat.

"Alright, deal but if you forget, I'm telling Gabby to refuse you margaritas." He teased making her laugh.

"Deal," She agreed.

"Good night Jeff." She said sweetly.

"Good night Marina." He replied and hung up as he started his car. He sighed as he started back to the firehouse knowing that tomorrow was going to be a long day.
