Ciel sat at his desk, staring blankly out the window as the rain fell. Sheets of lightning cracked across the sky and the boom of thunder rattled the window of the estate. Ciel gave a soft sigh as he heard a light knock on his door.

"Come in." Ciel said as he turned back around and acted as if he had been doing his work the entire time. Sebastian came in, pushing a cart with tea and a light snack on it.

"My lord, I have brought you some earl grey tea and.." Sebastian began but Ciel but him off.

"Just give me the tea, I'm not hungry." Ciel said, keeping head down to avoid eye contact with Sebastian. Sebastian set the cup of piping hot tea on the desk, a worried expression on his face.

"My lord, I am worried. You have not eaten since I rescued you from the Trancy boy...it's been three days..." Sebastian said as he walked to Ciel's side. He reached down and placed his hand under Ciel's chin and tried to pull his head up to face him. Ciel grabbed Sebastian's hand and threw it to the side. Sebastian's hand hit the cup of tea and spilled it onto Ciel.

Ciel let out a loud shriek of pain as the hot liquid burned his chest and thighs. He stood up quickly, knocking his chair over and Sebastian took a step back. Ciel looked at the ground, teeth clenched, hand formed into fists, and tears running down his face.

"My lord, I..." Sebastian began to say.

"Stop, Sebastian!" Ciel yelled. He was shaking, the burns on his chest and thighs stung but he didn't want to tell Sebastian. "Just stop. You've done enough, you've said enough...Now leave." Sebastian nodded and without saying another word, picked up the tea cup, took the cart, and left the room.

Ciel raised his hands and slammed his fists down onto his desk, sobbing softly. He fell to his knees and tried to unbutton his shirt, his hands shaking. When he finally finished unbuttoning his shirt, he pulled it away to see first and second degree burns on his chest. In some places there was blood pooling and running down his chest, seeping into the waist band if his pants. He was afraid to see what his thighs looked like since they hurt about ten times more than his chest.

He reached up and held onto the desk, trying to stand. Using the desk, he managed to walk to the front corner of the desk. He took a deep breath and let go of the desk, taking three steps towards the door before falling in the middle of the room. He gasped and sobbed softly from the pain as he gave up, laying on the ground.

Sebastian looked up from where he was dusting a portrait. He had heard a thud come from the room Ciel was in. He set his duster down and went upstairs.

"My lord..." Sebastian said as he knocked on the door to the room Ciel was in but there was no answer. Sebastian put his ear to the door and heard sobbing. Sebastian gently opened the door and looked in. "Ciel..."

Blood was staining the carpet from the open wounds and both his shirt and pants were ruined. Sebastian ran over to his side and kneeled down next to him.

"Why didn't you tell me...?" Sebastian said softly as he gently picked up Ciel who cried and winced as he was moved, not saying a word. Sebastin quickly brought Ciel to his room, laying him on his bed and began to remove his clothes. Ciel cried loudly as Sebastian took off his pants, his thighs covered completely in second degree burns.

Sebastian tossed the clothes onto the floor and called Meyrin into the room.

"Meyrin, fill the tub with cold water and get me a couple rags. Also bring up some pain killers and some ointment, if you don't know what kind ask Baldroy." Sebastian said and Meyrin nodded, running off to start the bath. Sebastian looked down at Ciel, his fragile body covered in horrible burns.

"S-Sebastian..." Ciel said as he cried softly, staring at the wall.

"Yes Bocchan, what is it?" Sebastian asked softly as he walked back over to Ciel's side but Ciel never asked his question as Meyrin ran down the hall yelling.

"The bath is ready for the young master, yes it is! I'll go get the other things and bring them up right now, Sebastian!" Meyrin yelled as she disappeared down the hall. Sebastian picked up Ciel and carried him into the bathroom. He walked over to the tub and gently lowered him into the cool water.

Ciel screamed, digging his nails into Sebastian's arms as the cool water touched the burns.

"Sebastian stop! Stop!" Ciel yelled but Sebastian just set his down in the water.

"If you want the burning to stop you must sit in the cool water..." Sebastian said. He grabbed a stool and sat next to the tub, looking down at Ciel. Tears still ran down Ciel's cheeks as he looked at the burns covering his thighs and chest.

"...Will there be permanent scars...?" Ciel asked and looked up at Sebastian. Sebastian looked at him and then looked away, not saying anything.
