It was calm in the morning at Providence. Thorn was sitting with Six in the cafeteria eating breakfast drinking his morning Coffee while the Agent read the paper. It was before Rex woke up so all as calm. The Grunts were talking among themselves quietly and for a moment he heard nothing. Unfortunately all was not well on the keep.
Soon the silence was broken by alarms going off the Grunts getting to their feet scrambling. This alarm was different from the normal one. The lights that flashed bore down on his eyes making Thorn wince for a moment before speaking in a soft voice. "What is that alarm?"
Six narrowed his eyes speaking "someone is attacking.."
Attacking Providence keep was not something normal people did. It was to be Thorn's first brush with a mad man.. His first brush with Van Kleiss.
"Skalamander make sure and keep Rex busy. Breach your with me, Biowolf protect the hijacker." Van Kleiss said while moving.
Breach was silent taking Van Kleiss up to the bridge of the ship where the two stepped out of her portal to see Thorn standing quietly.
For a moment Thorn didn't know they were there before he heard the Echo of Breach's mind as she spoke to Van Kleiss. When he turned he had a metal arm at his throat.
"Now why in the world would they put someone so young right here?" Van Kleiss looked down smirking at Thorn who could only glare defiantly at the man.
Thorn found his tongue soon enough when the man started to tie him up. "Let me go! Your not going to get away with this!"
When the Gag was shoved carelessly in his mouth Thorn's eyes narrowed. The man was either a fool or didn't know what he was capable of.
"Keep him close we don't need anyone warning them what we're up to.." Said Van Kleiss picking Thorn up over one shoulder.
"Yes master Kleiss." Said Breach watching Thorn making the young man turn his head to the side. He was close enough to Van Kleiss though he could hear every thought the man was thinking. Dark thoughts, thoughts about Rex's nanites. How good they would be. How he wanted to finally put the pest down. Without Delay Thorn started to transmit those thoughts to Agent Six who started launching the counter attack to drive the Pack out.
"Not so Fast Agent Six, I have a hostage!" Said Van Kleiss.
"Do you? Are you sure?" Asked Agent Six a smirk coming.
For a moment Van Kleiss said nothing before a smirk of his own would come. "Yes that's right. I would wager that Providence wouldn't want such a young agent meeting a Tragic end so soon in his career." Said Van Kleiss giving Thorn a shake making the young man glare hanging from his hands which where gripped just under the rope by Van Kleiss.
"Trust me when I say you've got a tiger by the rope there Van Kleiss and he might be too much for even you.." Said Six before looking at Thorn.
'When did you plan to break free?' Thought Six one brow raising.
'When given the command of course. Till then I'm transmitting his plans as he comes up with them to you.. By the way he's going to attack you with the wolf one..' Thorn thought back before watching the Agent dodge the wolf.
Van Kleiss's eyes narrowed it was like the Agent had eyes in the back of his head. Even for the ninja like Agent something was off. His response time was faster almost like he had two sets of eyes watching. After Six kicked Biowolf away Van Kleiss still couldn't figure it out till he happened to see Thorn's eyes glowing bright white from the corner of his eyes. Seeing that he suddenly figured out that the young man was helping Six by being another pair of eyes. How was this possible though? His mouth curved in a frown before he spoke. "Breach bring our young hostage with him. If Providence has him there must be more to him then just silly hair color.." With that a glowing red portal opened. Dispite the crystals shot at him Six launched himself forwards as Thorn was jerked through the portal those green eyes widened. 'Six.. I love you..'
With that last lingering thought Thorn's feet vanished through the portal leaving the Agent laying on the ground his hand outstretched where he tried to grab onto those feet.
Tossing Thorn down onto a platform Van Kleiss spoke "Now then we're going to play a little game agent of twenty questions. Be a good boy and answer them please.."
Thorn glared as the ropes where snapped by a vine releasing his hands the first thing he did was remove the gag. The second thing he did was stand quietly his head raised "And you honestly think I'll talk?" Asked Thorn his arms at his sides.
"Well I had hoped on it, but if you should be inclined to be surly and not that is fine too.." Said Van Kleiss sitting on his throne his hands resting on the arm rests.
"First question, what was that ability you did.." Asked Van Kleiss his eyes narrowed as he watched the young man.
"It's called Second sight, I can transmit images I see to whom I chose.." Said Thorn carefully looking around for a way off the platform quietly listening.
"I see, and your power is what precisely?" Asked Van Kleiss watching knowing that unless the boy could fly he wasn't getting off that platform without help.
"That is none of your business sir!" Said Thorn glaring once more. There was no way he was going to tell this man anything like that.
Van Kleiss's eyes narrowed. Such an odd answer to give. It was obvious the young man was hiding his abilities. His mouth curved in a deeper frown as Thorn sat drawing his legs up his chin resting on his knees. One could almost see the gears in that head turning like the boy was plotting something.
"Third question then Do you have a name?" Asked Van Kleiss watching still.
"Yes, but I don't give my name out to criminals." Said Thorn lowering his head eyes closing. He had to think. He had to keep this man distracted. That's when it hit him, the only thing he could do to escape was climb. His eyes opened as he stood looking up. That door was unguarded could he do it?
Focus on what you want.. Build the bridge between point A and Point B. A bridge of glowing green energy appeared making Van Kleiss narrow his eyes. Could this Agent be a mentalist? A Rare Evo indeed. One gifted not physically but mentally instead?
He would watch Vines snapping out to grab Thorn once more. Gripping Thorn's wrists bringing the young man to the foot of his throne one foot planted on the young man's back keeping him pinned.
"Your not physically strong.. no your a rare breed of Evo.." Said Van Kleiss looking amused.
"Get off me!" Said thorn looking annoyed.
"Oh no I plan to keep you well under my foot.." Said Van Kleiss looking even more amused.
"I'm warning you get off me!" Said Thorn glaring up with such defiance Van Kleiss laughed.
"You are amusing, I will give you that.." Said Van Kleiss leaning down slightly.
"But the mind of a mentalist is so easily broken it's not even funny.." Said Van Kleiss picking Thorn up after moving his foot starting to walk with the young man over one shoulder.
"You'll never break me." Said Thorn glaring his eyes narrowing.
Where were they going? Was this a lab?
When Van Kleiss put him down Thorn narrowed his eyes at the restraints that snapped around his arms and waist as the table the man put him on raised facing Thorn forwards.
"Now here comes the fun part. Finding out what makes you tick.." Said Van Kleiss starting to smile coldly as a beam of light hit him Thorn found suddenly he was in agonizing pain.
A scream came as he hung in the strange beam of light. It felt like his whole body was on fire eyes closing tightly as he fought the beam's influence. What was the man doing to him?!
He could feel his powers starting to build his hair raising up snapping the band as he clenched his teeth. This was stupid, this shouldn't be happening! He was stronger then this! Green tinted orbs snapped open sparks of orange starting to show in them. He suddenly had the urge to just burn it all.. Thorn's mouth curved in a smile as red energy started to leak from him. The beam stopped suddenly as Van Kleiss narrowed his eyes. "So you have more secrets then I thought.." The man trailed off watching curiously as the restraints snapped leaving the young man floating as random objects started to raise up. It was like a zone of no gravity around him. He was floating above the table looking down his eyes glowing white.
"I have so much more then you know.. I must thank you though. If You had not taken me I never would have learned the true power of my mind." With that one hand raised as Thorn smirked. The wall infront of him decomposing to pebbles as he glided forwards.
"I must thank you for showing me the rapture of pain, and the descent of madness.." Said Thorn before landing to walk forwards. Van Kleiss found he could not move pinned by an unseen force as the young man walked away. Biowolf seeing Thorn approaching him growled getting into an attack position.
"You wish to die? I'm no longer afraid to kill you know." Said Thorn his eyes narrowing as he continued walking.
"I will not let you escape." Said Biowolf leaping at Thorn who caught him in midair with one hand outstretched.
"As if I was giving you the choice.." Thorn swiped the air with his hand making Biowolf fly into a room the door slamming on the metal beast as Thorn walked past it silently.
He was going home. He was getting out of here. Nothing would stop him.
Thorn paused seeing Breach and Skalamander blocking his path before floating his arms folding.
"Move or I move you myself.." Said Thorn his eyes looking from one to the other.
"We won't let you past!" Said Skalamander launching those crystals at him. Crystals that hung in midair in front of Thorn before the sharp ends turned to face the two.
"I will pass and there is nothing you can do about it.." Said Thorn sending the crystals back at their owner.
A glowing portal caught the crystals making them vanish reappearing behind Thorn who caught them once more making them swirl around himself.
"Fine I'll keep these and just do this.." Said Thorn before raising his hands to his head his eyes starting to glow white. 'sleep now.. SLEEP!'
That mind would not be denied the two slumping over left to right as he walked past them. He was starting to get tired from using his energy like this.
There was the door out he could see it then he saw a flash of green in the door way. For a moment neither moved Thorn staring at Six and the man staring back at him.
'Thorn?' Thought the Agent before raising his arms to the Young man.
'Six.. How do I know it's not a trick..' Thought Thorn on high alert still his eyes narrowed his hands defensively held.
'Your the only one who knows where my heart lays..' Thought back Agent Six before lowering his shades. For a moment neither moved before Thorn went forwards Catching the Agent around the waist speaking softly. "I just want to go home..Please..Can't we just go home.."
"That is where I am taking you. Back to Providence." Said Six wrapping his arms around Thorn picking the younger male up who's arms wrapped around his neck.
It was a quiet trip back to Providence as Thorn sat in the back seat of the Jet sound asleep. It was not like the young man to do such a thing. Six was worried for a while taking the boy to the lab he learned he was fine just resting.
"He must have used a lot of energy protecting himself.. But it's funny though I've never seen an output like this of brain waves. " Said Doctor Holiday shaking her head.
"Is it safe to take him to his room.." Asked Six his eyes on Thorn's sleeping face.
"Hmm? Yes it should be fine. He needs lots of rest to recover." Said Holiday nodding. "Take him to his room if you wish Six it would be better then him being down here." Holiday continued before moving to check a print out when she turned back the two men were gone.
Six Carried Thorn to the room the two were sharing laying him down. He really did not want the young man wearing those to bed and so he changed him into something else. Warm sleep wear for the rest of the night. Agent Six lay down next to him praying wishing the younger male would move show him he was still with him. As if his prayers were heard Thorn's body shifted into him his head finding that spot planting right there where it always did. Six's arms went around Thorn as he sighed his eyes closing. Six would never admit it, but he'd been terrified he'd never see Thorn again. That Kleiss would kill him or worse twist the young man's mind.
As Six dozed with the younger male in his arms he was thanking his lucky stars the boy was safe. That Thorn had the will power to come home..
