Really long chapter… Hope you enjoy!

"Well this is fun." I commented flatly, letting the back of my head rest against the filthy wall behind me, my wrists resting casually on my bent knees as I stared forward.
Bill huffed out a breath of annoyance at me while Remus rubbed his temple tiredly, "Must you make jokes at a time like this?"
"Would you prefer me to sing a song?" I asked blankly.
"Bloody hell, Rigel," Bill interrupted for Remus, "Get a hold of yourself. And clean yourself up; you have blood all over your face."
I rolled my head to the right to look at him, "I would; only somebody took my wand."
"And whose fault is that?" Bill questioned in annoyance, accusation covering his voice.
My eyes narrowed at him, "Remus was in trouble, you git! What did you expect me to do?"
"Will you two stop bickering?" Remus cut in tiredly, "This isn't getting us anywhere. And Rigel, pinch the bridge of your nose already, you know the site of blood bothers him. You played quidditch for how long? You should know how to stop a nose bleed."
I rolled my eyes but did as commanded, shooting Bill a snooty look.
It had been about an hour since we had been captured and locked away in the attic of the dirty store. Remus was already up there when we came and I felt a bit of triumph at being right about him being in trouble. Until it dawned on my dazed brain that this was not a good thing.
Apparently there were three Death Eaters downstairs, with our wands. I hadn't actually seen any of them yet. The one who broke my nose stood behind me the entire time and we were shoved up stairs before I could see the others. Remus had though, hence how we knew how many there were.
"So…" I said after a few awkward moments of silence. Being knocked in the head seemed to make my rationality go faulty, as for the longest time, I didn't appear fazed by the current situation. Now however, I was beginning to feel the dull ache in my nose and the painful pulsing in my head, and I was starting to feel concern over our predicament. "How are we getting out of here?"
"The room is sealed and the door locked." Remus answered, "Without our wands we're stuck."
How optimistic.
"Maybe we can bash a wall in," I stated, slowly getting up from my spot on the floor, "They look half rotten anyway."
"And go where?" Bill asked sharply, I had a feeling his patience was wearing thin with me.
I shot a glare towards him. Just because I was the rookie here did not mean I was completely useless. I had completed several successful missions in the past, there was no need for the condescending voice.
He huffed out another breath at me, "We don't have our wands, they would obviously hear the noise we made, and we wouldn't make it five feet before we were caught. It's pointless."
"And sitting on the floor isn't pointless?" I demanded, to which he gave a defensive look, "You can't expect us to just wait to die."
"Nobody said we were going to die." Remus injected quickly to which I rolled my eyes.
"What else will they do with us Remus?" I asked, "Torture us for answers and then drop us off safely in Diagon? Hardly."
Apparently I'm the pessimist now.
I pushed on the wall I was in front of but it seemed to be rock solid. So going through a wall was out of the question. There were no windows so that was a drawback, which just left the door.
I set my gaze and moved quietly towards it. I kneeled down before it and brushed my fingers over the door handle, looking for a key hole of sorts. I smiled when I felt a hole.
"Rigel, what are you doing?" Remus demanded in a concerned whisper.
"Trying to get us out of here," I replied back obviously, rummaging through my pockets to try and find a hair clip or something to stick in the hole.
"You're going to get us all killed if you open that door." Bill stated to which I huffed out a breath at.
"Do you have any bright ideas?" I questioned him.
"Yes," He responded, and through the darkness I could see him get up from his spot on the floor, "Wait until they come to get us and overpower them."
"Brute force." I stated, to which he nodded, "And you thought my idea was dumb? They have wands you thickhead! The only way we're going to get out of here is if we sneak out!"
Bill honestly wasn't that annoying of a person. I mean, he could be a lot worse. He could be like Percy who could be the most infuriating person in the world, hence why I slapped him two years ago.
Bill and I just didn't get along very well. He was always very grave in bad situations while I tried to make jokes to try and keep what was left of my sanity. Therefore tension often rose between us. How Remus tolerated us was beyond me.
"You expect us to subdue at least three Death Eaters with our bare hands?" I continued to whisper back furiously, bringing the back of my hand up again to wipe at more blood from my nose.
"Will you both quiet down already?" Remus asked finally, before Bill could respond, "We need to think this out rationally."
"There's no time to rationalize," I argued, "We could be dead within the next two minutes. We need to take some risks here because it's all or nothing with our lives!"
It wasn't in Remus' nature to be spontaneous; therefore I could understand his hesitance to not think a plan through. Bill however seemed to be contemplating my words begrudgingly.
"Alright," Bill said finally, coming to stand next to me, "Let's try and get out of here, what says you Remus?"
I looked to the old professor and he breathed out slowly, "Let's try and find something to jam into the lock."
A grin spread onto my face as he stood and began looking around the dark room with Bill. I couldn't find any hair pins in my pockets so I began to search the room as well. I was just rummaging through a small crate of dust coated items when Bill found something across from me.
I quickly moved to him and saw that it was a metallic clothes hanger, "That will do."
He bent the item easily so it became a straight piece of wire and then handed it over to me. I took it hurriedly and moved back towards the door. From behind the old piece of wood I could hear low voices talking downstairs. I jammed the metal piece into the key hole and fiddled with the reluctant lock.
"Is it working?" Bill questioned as he and Remus came to stand behind me.
"Give me a second," I muttered under my breath, moving the hanger slightly to the right.
I'd never actually tried to open a lock door without magic before. I haven't been without my wand and usually just gave up if there was a special charm on it that would block the alohomora spell. I have however seen it done in muggle films that Ted Tonks use to watch every so often on the old television, so I figured it couldn't have been all that hard.
Suddenly the end of the hanger got stuck inside the lock and I tried to pull it roughly back out but it wouldn't budge. I cursed under my breath and pulled harder, a snap was heard and I fell backwards onto the floor. I quickly righted myself and looked to the hanger in my hands that now had a chunk of the end missing.
I continued to let out a string of curses and I realised the missing piece was still stuck in the lock.
"What's wrong?" Remus was questioning me but I ignored him and tried to get the rest of the hanger in the lock.
Nothing seemed to be working and the door remained lock. I huffed out a frustrated breath and shoved the rest of the hanger into the hole with as much force as I could.
A dull click resounded and I blinked a few times before slowly trying to turn the door knob. It opened easily and the door opened a crack.
I actually did it…
Remus clapped me on the back appreciatively and I moved away from the door so he could look out. He shut the door again a second later and turned to Bill and I, "The staircase is right next to us, but down the hallway is a window leading outside. Perhaps we can get past the staircase quietly enough that they don't hear us."
"Sounds good let's go," I said quickly and went to move past him however Bill abruptly grabbed onto me and pulled me back sharply.
"Cool yourself," He told me, "we need to take this slowly."
I opened my mouth to argue but Remus hushed me with a look and I shut my mouth again.
"Alright, slowly now," Remus said and he opened the door carefully again and moved out into the deserted hallway. I followed behind him and Bill behind me. We stopped right before the staircase opening and Remus cautiously looked out. He moved out of view again and told me to follow him. We swiftly moved to the other side of the staircase and hid safely behind the wall. Bill followed a moment later and we quickly yet quietly moved to the window at the other end of the hallway.
So far so good.
But then Remus attempted to lift up the murky thing and it wouldn't budge. Bill moved past me and tried to help but it still wouldn't move. They continued to struggle with it and I looked towards the staircase where voices were still coming from. I couldn't really make out what they were saying but I heard key words that didn't help to ease my worried mind.
"…Order members… wait… how long… right now… kill… get it over with…"
I looked back to the wizards in front of me and a small creaking noise was heard as the window moved up only an inch. I frowned at the noise and hoped that nobody downstairs had heard it.
"Hurry up," I whispered to them and Bill shot me a scowl as he put all his force into pushing the window up.
A few seconds later a loud screech sounded and the window went flying up all the way.
"What was that?!" a voice demanded from downstairs and the thudding of footsteps was heard.
I didn't have time to think before Remus had grabbed onto me and all but shoved me out the window and onto the roof, Bill and Remus were out beside me in milliseconds and angry shouting could be heard from inside the store.
"Move!" Bill shouted at me, and I scrambled on the loose shingles and stumbled behind a large chimney spout, the other two following my actions. Bill had just leaped in front of me as a green curse flew by us, followed by more shouting.
"Get on the roof!" One Death Eater bellowed.
Okay, so we were out of the store, now how to get off.
The sound of someone moving across the shingles met our ears and I frantically looked for any type of weapon. True, they had wands, but I was desperate. I latched onto a broken brick from the crumbling chimney and clutched it tightly in my hand. I let out a deep breath, and before Remus or Bill could stop me, I stood up from behind the chimney and threw the brick with all my strength towards a dark clothed figure. Thankfully my chaser skills were still as good as ever and it hit him before he could even cast a spell, knocking him off his unstable feet and sending him tumbling off the side of the roof.
"Move!" I quickly turned to a stunned Remus and Bill and I pushed them towards the other side of the roof before another Death Eater could come out.
We got the edge of the roof when Bill pushed me down roughly, a red light whizzing past my head. I caught a glimpse of something moving on the ground. There was another Death Eater down below.
My mind frantically tried to process. We couldn't move back into the store, and now the ground wasn't an option either. What did that leave us with? It's not like we could fly.
Wait.
My gaze snapped over to the building next to us, the one Bill and I had been hiding inside earlier that day. The roof wasn't much higher than this one and it wasn't that far away. I looked to Remus and could tell he was thinking the same thing, he grabbed onto Bill's shoulder and motioned with his head towards the other roof and Bill nodded in agreement.
We didn't have time to do much else but take a step back and jump. Curses whizzed past us from below and we landed roughly onto the other roof, scrambling to clutch onto something as the roof was even more slanted than the previous one. I felt a slight worry about all this jumping and falling being good for the baby but at this point I was wondering if I would even live through the day. From the position we were at, the Death Eater on the street below couldn't see us, and it seemed that the other had abandoned the window and had joined his partner on the ground.
One down, two to go.
"Now what?!" I questioned Remus.
"You tell us," Bill said back, "This was your idea!"
"I said we needed to escape!" I countered back darkly, "Remus was the one who said 'go out the window'!"
"We need to get down." Remus said, ignoring our argument, his eyes searching the alleyways below us.
I was about to say, 'easier said than done,' when a loud crack sounded next to me, I cried out in surprise as a black figure suddenly appeared on the roof and latched onto Remus, then disappearing with him only a second later.
"Remus!" Bill and I shouted before another crack sounded, this time grabbing onto a struggling Bill.
I tried to move towards him to try and fight off the Death Eater but they disappeared again before I could move a foot.
I knew it was coming but there was nothing I could do. The crack met my ears and rough hands grabbed hold of my arm, before I felt the sharp pull behind my navel. I landed harshly on the cobblestone of the alley below us and let out a groan of pain as my eyes met Remus and Bill.
I couldn't even move before a hand wrapped itself around my hair and yanked upwards sharply, I yell out as I was raised brutally to my feet and slammed against a brick wall behind me, a hand encircling around my neck and holding me against the wall. I opened my eyes to see a furious Death Eater holding onto me, a dark, angry red and rectangular imprint on his temple.
My eyes widened when I saw this. I hit the man with a brick to the head and he fell off a bloody roof, if he wasn't dead or at least knocked out by this point, what could stop him?
"Calm yourself, Mulciber," A rough voice spoke from in front of me, "You can finish her off in a moment."
"The bint threw a bloody brick at me!" He bellowed angrily and his grip tightened on my neck so I started to gasp slightly for air.
"Get your hands off of her!" Remus yelled out from somewhere.
"Patience!" The other Death Eater commanded sharply, with such an air of authority that the grip around my neck slackened instantly, "Now," He said, moving out from behind the brute holding me so I could see him, "Let's settle some matters shall we?"
He looked strangely familiar to me but I couldn't be bothered to care. He ignored Bill and I and moved to Remus.
"Listen here, Lupin," He stated, dark eyes scowling at the werewolf, "This is your last chance. Tell me what you know of Potter's whereabouts, or I'll have Mulciber break the bird's neck."
"You know I can't do that, Rosier." Remus responded, his words coming out calm but the look of pure hatred on his face said otherwise, "Just let them both go and you can do what you want with me."
Rosier. Evan Rosier. Of course. He was the boy from Dad's memory, the one that had gone after Mum in Hogwarts.
"I'd say we just break the girl's neck for the fun of it," the troll growled in front of me.
"I second that," The third Death Eater commented and I got a good look at him for the first time. I cursed inwardly when I recognised him.
Marcus sodding Flint. Of all the Death Eaters who could have got me it had to be the person in the world who hated me the most.
"Both of you stuff it!" Rosier demanded and turned back to Remus, "Stop playing games, Lupin, this is the last time I'll ask you before all of you die, starting with the bint—"
He cut himself off suddenly as when he went to point towards me, his words got stuck in his mouth. I froze as I saw his eyes look curiously towards my face, seeming to notice me for the first time.
"What's your name?" He questioned, stepping away from Remus and moving towards me.
My jaw clamped shut but Flint answered for me anyway, "Black. Rigel Black."
Rosier suddenly let out a deep chuckle at that, "Black, you say? Well would you look at that."
"Leave her alone!" Remus shouted at him but Flint had moved to Remus and held his wand out threateningly, stopping whatever he had to say.
"You're Auriga's girl, aren't you?" Rosier questioned me, a fowl grin playing at his lips, and he brought his hand up to my face as the brute moved away from me, "You look just like her. Tell me, how's dear old Sirius doing?"
I remained silent, my eyes searching his demented face.
"New plan, Lupin." He said suddenly, his eyes searching me over, "Rigel and I are going to have a little private chat while Flint and Mulciber take you and ginger back into the store. We'll see if her screams won't loosen your tongue. If not, at least I get the satisfaction of touching Sirius Black's precious daughter."
Remus' face turned a deep angry shade of red, "You bast—"
"Uh uh uh," Rosier tutted, "Not such fowl words around the young'un now, Lupin."
His hand now moved to play with my hair causing me to flinch slightly. The brute moved towards Remus and began dragging him back towards the store, his wand at Remus' neck, while Flint took hold Bill. I could still hear Remus shouting at Rosier as they disappeared out of view.
"Bloody half-breeds," Rosier muttered before turning back to me, "Now, Rigel."
His hands came to rest on either side of me against the wall, trapping me between his arms. I wondered for a moment what he would do if I socked him with my knee but I figured it probably wasn't a good idea with his wand inches from my face.
"Your mum and I went way back," He told me, "Till that idiot you call father messed with her mind, of course you got in the way quite a bit as well. It's a shame Zosma isn't here, she's still got a mighty fine bone to pick with you as well."
"She's already left her mark on me," I spat out darkly, getting annoyed with his close proximity.
"So I heard," He replied, suddenly straightening and take a small step back, he muttered a spell under his breath and I cried out in pain as my broken nose cracked back into place, "But I also heard she mistakenly saved your life that very day as well."
My hand came up to my once again aching nose and furrowed my brows at him, "Don't play riddles with me."
He narrowed his dark eyes and took a step forward again, bringing his hand up and giving a push on my chest so that my back hit the wall again, "I don't think you're in a position to be giving orders, are you? Must have gotten that irritating trait from your father, no doubt."
I couldn't help it, I adored my father for all the trials he went through; "He's more a man than you'll ever be,"
I didn't see the blow coming but just felt my cheek suddenly stinging and my eyes saw stars as I gasped. Though my hands went instantly to my stomach, call it instinct if you will of protecting the baby from another blow.
"Even Chara knew when to shut her mouth," He growled and my blurred vision finally focused on his face, "You'd do well to follow your mother's example."
I'm stupid, so sue me.
"I'm not a Chara," I growled out and spat in his face, "I'm a Black."
I barely saw him wipe the spit from his face before I was on the ground screaming in agony as the Cruciatus was put on me. It only lasted a few seconds but it consumed my mind with pain.
I had to stop my mouth; I had more than one person to worry about hurting with the repercussions that followed.
"Just like your father," A voice growled above me and the black spots began fading from my field of view to see Rosier now on one knee beside me, "Now let's give dear old Lupin a reason to tell his secrets for your sake."
I swallowed thickly and my arm wrapped tightly around my middle as his wand pointed towards my neck and his other hand moved towards me.
"Close your eyes," He commanded suddenly, "It ruins your Chara look."
I wanted to snap back at him, tell him I wasn't a Chara, but I couldn't risk anymore. I complied, but mostly for my own sake, I didn't want to see his dirty face above me anymore. I flinched as I felt his hand pull at the zipper of my jumper and pull it down slowly. He had just started to push it back from my body when a shout was heard a fair distance away. My eyes snapped open just in time to hear Rosier utter a curse in confusion before a flash of blue light hit him square in the chest and he collapsed, frozen, on top of me.
"Rigel!" My name was shouted and I heard the sound of running feet on the cobblestone as I struggled to push Rosier's heavy body off of me.
"Get him off of her!" I heard Remus saying, sounding close and a moment later Rosier's body was rolled to the side and I saw Bill crouching next to me. Remus appeared in my view a moment later and they each grabbed a hold of me and pulled me to my feet.
I stared at them in utter confusion and I saw that they both had their wands back.
I couldn't question them though as I suddenly felt a nauseating pull in my stomach.
We landed outside of the Burrow and it was the last straw to my body. I pushed Bill out of the way and began heaving up the contents of my stomach. I saw Bill running towards the house out of the corner of my eye while Remus kept a hand on my back as I continued to retch. I had just finished and hazily sank to the ground when I saw people coming back out of the house, hurrying towards us. Remus kneeled down next to me and it was then that I saw he had a painful looking cut next his brow and blood was trickling down the side of his face.
A shadow fell across and I looked up in time to see Oliver falling to his knees next to me, his hands instantly cupping the sides of my face as his eyes searched me over.
"Let's get them into the house," I heard Molly saying but I focused on Oliver's light brown eyes, finding comfort and calmness by just looking in them.
A moment later I was lifted into his arms and I thought about protesting about being carried but I found that I really didn't care at the moment. I felt pathetic and like a nuisance, but the adrenaline was leaving my body and exhaustion was taking its place.
I was laid on the patchwork couch in the living room and everyone filed in around, questions being fired back and forth.
Remus explained about the failed operation and Bill just nodded every once in a while as he nursed what seemed to be a bloody nose. Apparently Flint has a thing for breaking noses.
I didn't even notice that Dad was standing next to me, his hand coming to rest on my shoulder, "Then what happened to her? She hasn't spoken a word."
Molly brought Bill a cloth that appeared to have ice inside of it and he put it on his nose, "A Death Eater took a liking to Rigel."
Oliver went stiff.
I watched as Dad immediately turned to Remus.
He seemed hesitant to answer Dad's unspoken question, "Rosier was there, Sirius. I don't know what happened though."
Dad's vision snapped down to me, alarm written all over his face.
"I'm fine," I said, my voice coming out hoarse as my throat still burned from vomiting, "He only got as far as my jumper before Remus or Bill hexed him."
Dad suddenly left my vision and I frowned in confusion. How did Remus and Bill get their wands back anyways?
"Sirius! There's no point in going back there! More Death Eaters are probably there already!" Remus called after him, "There's no point in thrashing Rosier when you'll just get yourself killed!"
"He touched my daughter!" Dad bellowed back, and I propped myself up on my elbows to see where he was.
"Sirius, see reason," Molly injected, "We need to just focus on fixing these three up."
"I want to go home." I muttered, clasping onto Oliver's forearm as support as I brought myself into a sitting position. I looked to see Dad pacing angrily by the entrance of the living room.
"Wait," Arthur spoke suddenly, "How did you escape?"
Remus looked to make sure that Dad wasn't going anywhere before he turned back to Arthur. "Well Flint and Mulciber were with us in the shop while Rosier was with Rigel." He said that last bit under his breath, "Flint heard screaming and being the sadistic person he is, he went to the back room to try and see what was happening."
"Mulciber is as dumb as a set of bricks," Bill said, shooting me a crooked smile at his wording.
Mulciber. Dumb as bricks. Punny.
"So as soon as his back was turned, Remus and I were able to jump him and get a hold of his wand. We immobilized him by the time Flint figured out what was happening. Flint put up more of a fight." Hence the broken nose and cuts on the two wizards, "But eventually we jinxed him as well, grabbed our wands and went to deal with Rosier."
"Shouldn't we go back then before other Death Eaters discover them?" Arthur asked, reaching for the wand in his pocket.
Remus shook his head, "Flint already sent word for help before we could get to his wand. The other Death Eaters should be there by now."
"Well the main thing is to remember that our members are alright." Molly stated quickly.
Oliver's arm was now around my shoulders, huddling me into his side, and I brought my hand up to his chest to get his attention, "Oliver, can we please go home?"
"Rigel you can't leave until we fix you up," Molly injected firmly.
I ignored her and looked to Oliver, trying to convey to him that I needed to leave. I didn't want to be around a bunch of people. I needed to calm myself. Process what just had all happened.
"I'll take care of her, Molly," Wood said in reply and I felt relief at his words.
She bustled at this and went to argue but Remus cut her off, "Oliver knows how to treat injuries Molly, probably more than you with his quidditch experience. Just let them go."
She bit the inside of her cheek in annoyance but kept silent as Oliver helped me to my feet.
We arrived at home a few moments later and Oliver led me into the kitchen where he immediately reached for our first aid kit.
"Is your nose broken?" He asked me and his hands wrapped around my waist and easily lifted me onto the countertop.
I shook my head in response as he went into the freezer and pulled out some ice cubes. He put them in a towel and handed it to me. I said my thanks and put it against my red bloody nose, wincing at the mixture of cold and pain.
He took his wand and did some basic healing on the cuts on my cheeks before setting his wand back down and looked into my eyes, "Are you okay?"
No. I wasn't. Now that everything was over I was beginning to lose my somewhat sane mind. A thousand thoughts were running through my mind.
"I'm fine." I responded, and I took the now damp towel in my hand to wipe at the dried blood on my nose.
His hand came up and the pad of his thumb brushed against my cheek, "You're such a bad liar, love."
I frowned at him, "It's not nice to point out my flaws."
He chuckled, that sodding warm deep chuckle that rumbled from his chest as he looked towards me, "Alright, fine, you are not overly opinionated, you are completely friendly, you don't hog the bed, you don't sing in the shower, and you don't look bloody gorgeous right now even though you're covered in blood."
I raised a single eyebrow, "And you say I'm a bad liar?"
He laughed again and moved to place his forehead against my own, his hand placed on the back of my neck. I moved my lips to his, today's earlier events completely gone from my brain for a moment.
When we parted for air his look was serious, "Rig, we need to talk."
I looked confusedly at him and kissed his bottom lip, "About what?"
He let out a short breath and brought his eyes back to mine, "This war is getting bad, Rig. We don't really have the luxury of thinking about the distant future, only the near."
"We'll be fine," I reassured him, running my hand through his short hair.
"You can't promise me that." He stated honestly, and I knew I couldn't.
"Then what are you trying to say, Oliver?" I asked softly, and his brown eyes shifted unsurely.
"Rigel-"
Suddenly a knock sounded loudly on the front door, cutting off whatever Oliver had to say. He let out a short breath again and moved away from me, heading towards the door to see who was there.
I carefully jumped off the counter and moved towards him.
"Arthur," Oliver greeted as he opened the door to the wizard, though he still held his wand up defensively, "What was the last thing Tonks broke in your house recently?"
"Molly's gnome painted tea cup." Arthur responded, and Oliver let him in at the confirmation, "Kingsley sent me. We need you for a small mission. Tonks and the twins aren't back yet from their stakeout today and we need one more person as Bill, Remus, and Rigel are out of sorts." He looked over Oliver's shoulder and gave me a smile, "Doing okay?"
I gave a short nod and smile in response.
Oliver looked back to me, as if trying to decide if he should leave me alone.
"Sirius said he would stop by soon to check on Rigel." Arthur commented, sensing Oliver's hesitation, "And we won't need you for that long."
Wood slowly nodded, "Alright."
Arthur gave a nod in return, "Brilliant, I'll meet you at the Burrow in a few minutes then. By the way, Rigel, Remus forgot to give you your wand back."
He tossed me my wand and then left with a crack. Oliver reached for a jumper hanging on the coat rack nearby, "Will you be alright?" He questioned, looking over his shoulder to me.
"I'm not four, I'll survive." I responded simply, giving him a small smile.
"I still need to talk to you when I get back." He told me.
I walked up to him and kissed him softly, "I'll wait up for you."
I didn't hear his response though because suddenly a small movement was felt in my stomach. I froze as Oliver was telling me goodbye. I uttered a goodbye back and he moved out of the apartment.
I locked the door behind him and leaned against it, my hand moving to my stomach. The baby had just moved. I should have been ecstatic, knowing that today's events hadn't harmed the child but I was freaking out. The baby shouldn't be moving already should it? I had a bit of a bump and I had been charming my stomach to look smaller, but I couldn't be that far along. What had Tonks said about when she should start feeling movement? I pushed away from the door and brought a hand to my temple as I moved back into the kitchen, didn't she say around three months? I couldn't be three months though could I? Dory was only in her second.
I couldn't think straight, I thought I was only about a month along.
I set the kettle on the stove to boil, knowing Dad would be here soon and leaned against the counter trying to figure out my muddled thoughts.
I jumped as several very loud knocks sounded abruptly on the door, so loud it seemed like a thunder.
I cautiously moved towards the door as the knocking continued, my wand raised. As soon as I unlocked the door, it burst open; nearly slamming in my face and a body collided with mine. I barely could make out blonde hair and blue eyes before they vanished, moving back towards the door and slamming it back shut and locking it within milliseconds.
"Maggie?" I questioned in utter shock.
"You have to hide me!" She cried out frantically, grabbing onto my arm and pulling me forcefully down the hallway.
Shouting could be heard from outside the door and I looked to her in apparent confusion, "Wait! What is going on?!"
She couldn't respond as suddenly my front door was blasted open, flying into the living room across from it.
My eyes widened in complete shock and Maggie pulled on my form and dragged me into the bedroom.
"Stop! You're under arrest!" A voice bellowed from outside and I turned to a very frantic friend.
"They're trying to take me to Azkaban, they think I'm not a witch!" She cried out and thundering steps were heard coming down the hallway.
I stood frozen for a moment trying to process what was happening. The door handle jiggled but Maggie must have locked it as it didn't open.
"Bomba—"
"Move!" I shouted to Maggie, coming out of my stupor and I pushed her down on the floor behind the bed and followed after her as the bedroom door was blasted.
Just as I saw an Auror's head I latched onto Maggie's arm and apparated.
We fell onto a leaf covered floor with trees surrounding us everywhere. Nearby a bird chirped happily. Maggie slowly opened her eyes and sat up, looking around.
I looked ahead and saw the old wooden cabin in the distance.
Safe.
