House of The End

Chapter 6: Ranger Green

A/N: So it's been forever since I actually updated this story with an actual chapter. Updates for this one are still going to be slow, but I'm not going to forget about this story. I'm just trying to get back to where I was before with my other stories (I currently am having a hard time rewriting my Shattered Glass series, or at least the story I'm on of it). Anyway, last time, Bailey and Summer bonded a bit and Dillon learned more about his powers. Tenaya tried to infiltrate the lab, but the rangers stopped him. Bailey is trying to get to know Flynn, Summer, and Ziggy better, them being the only teammates she doesn't really know yet. Bailey, Dillon, and Ziggy have their own zords, and Dr. K let the rangers officially meet her.

Remember that until the last chapter of this story, Bailey is going to be in a love triangle with Flynn and Scott.

Anyway, on with the story!

Merry Christmas as well!

Info about other stories will be at the bottom.

Disclaimer: I only own things not originally in either show.

"You know, you still never told me what exactly was in your bag," Dillon commented to Bailey as they were sparring in the garage. Bailey had wanted to practice her skills, and Dillon was the only one who agreed to be her sparring partner. Ziggy was doing some testing with Dr. K and Fabian in the lab. Bailey knew her mother was over at her aunt and uncle's house for a little while. Summer, Scott, and Flynn were all elsewhere in the garage.

"And I probably never will," Bailey replied, aiming a kick for his chest. Dillon blocked it and she aimed again. "At least, not until Venjix is gone."

"Don't you trust me?" Dillon wondered, smirking. After all, they had lived together for six months on the road, escaping Venjix.

Bailey rolled her eyes as she flipped out of the way of his attack. "Yes, I do. It's not a matter of trust, though. I mean, I've known Scott since I was a kid and even I'm not going to tell him until Venjix is gone."

"What's so important about it anyway?" Dillon asked.

"Let's just say," Bailey sighed as the match came to an end. "If Venjix got his hands on its contents, we'd be screwed."

"And by screwed you mean…"

"Fighting this war forever, or at least until we all die," Bailey shrugged. Dillon frowned, thinking it over. Before he could question it further, the alarms began going off. The two and Flynn immediately moved over to the screens.

Flynn looked at the monitors and spoke, not realizing Dr. K and Ziggy were with them. "All right. What's on the menu for today, good doctor?" Scott and Summer joined the group as Flynn realized his error. "I'm sorry. I'm so used to you being…"

"Did you think she was a dude?" Ziggy asked him as K rolled her eyes. "Who else thought she was a dude?"

"Ziggy, I hope you know that's kind of insulting to women," Bailey patted his shoulder.

"It's some kind of magnetic disturbance," K reported.

"We have infiltration," Scott continued. "It's a Venjix attack bot."

"It's storming the city's central computer banks," Summer added.

Without wasting time, the six rangers moved for their cars.

By the time the rangers arrived in the city, people were already running away, screaming. They quickly found the giant magnet attacking the civilians nearby. "I'm jamming any transmissions it's trying to send back to Venjix," K spoke through the communicators as the rangers ran. "But that thing cannot be allowed to escape the city with those shield codes. You will need to use series green's teleportation abilities to bypass the machine's magnetic interference."

"Understood, doc," Scott confirmed. "We're on it." He pocketed the communicator and turned to the green ranger. "Ziggy, we need you to teleport behind that thing and take it out."

"Ziggy, you up for this?" Dillon asked.

"Absolutely!" Ziggy nodded. "Let's do this!"

"Good," Scott nodded. "Let's move." He and the others ran off, leaving Ziggy alone. The magnet spotted them and the five drew their blasters. Taking aim, they quickly tried to fire. However, the magnet used its powers to try and pull it closer. "Now Ziggy!"

Ziggy frantically tried using his teleporting powers only to find the button was not working. "Should've read the manual," he muttered to himself. "Come on! This time!" He pushed the button once more and vanished, ending up nowhere near the battlefield.

"Where'd he go?" Bailey asked, noticing it.

"Ziggy, can you read?" Scott called.

"Where are you man?" Flynn added.

The rangers changed their blasters into their swords and flew toward the monster. It proved to be effective as the magnet was knocked over and hit the ground. Before they could do anything else, the magnet ran off and Dr. K beeped in. "Rangers, report."

"We're fine, Doc K," Scott replied. "But the Venjix attack bot…"

"The giant magnet ran away," Flynn cut in. "Uh…I cannot believe I just said that out loud."

"Guys, we're also missing a ranger," Summer pointed out. "Where's Ziggy?"

"It was a mistake, okay?" Ziggy explained to Summer, Dillon, Bailey, Colonel Truman, and a video chat with Nina and Dr. K. "I couldn't teleport back into that vault if I tried." When the rangers had heard word from him, they heard he was arrested for breaking into a vault at the bank and was caught holding money in his hands. "I'm not a criminal I'm just…incompetent."

"Dr. K, Nina," Colonel Truman looked at the computer. "Do you vouch for this?"

"I can definitely vouch for the incompetent part," Dr. K nodded. "As far as being a criminal, I can't say."

"I can," Colonel Truman continued. "We checked around. When Fresno Bob came to set up his Scorpion Cartel in Corinth, you came with him, didn't you, Ziggy?"

Nina finally cut in. "Whoa whoa hold up. You were part of the Scorpion Cartel?"

"Uh…"

"The group that robbed the pizza parlor my cousin worked at?" Nina questioned. Bailey looked confused, this being the first she heard of it.

Ziggy sighed and began to tell his story.

A while later, Summer, Bailey, and Dillon found themselves face to face with Fresno Bob inside his hideout. The two girls sat on the couch opposite the man while Dillon stood behind them, ready to defend them if things got ugly. Fresno Bob was telling his side of the story. "I'll tell you what he did," he huffed. "It's not like it's any secret. There was the truck."

The three rangers shared a look. Bob began explaining about the truck, how it was filled with something that was highly valuable to the five cartels. "So what happened?" Dillon questioned.

"I think you can guess," Bob shrugged.

"Humor us," Summer challenged.

"What can I say?" Bob shrugged again. "The kid's just no good. All that power…all that responsibility…he got greedy. He had to have it all for himself."

After having to confiscate Ziggy's morpher and suspend him from the team, Bailey, Dillon, and Summer went to join Flynn and Scott in a battle against a horde of grinders. None of them wanted to see Ziggy go, finding it unfair that a freak accident was his downfall. However, the rangers had concerns a bit larger than dealing with Ziggy. After all, they couldn't let a giant magnet destroy the place. The three arrived in record time and immediately jumped into the fight. Bailey went to help Flynn as Dillon and Summer went to help Scott.

"Need help?" Bailey smirked behind her helmet, finding barrels and throwing them at oncoming grinders. Summer and Dillon broke off to fight their own set of grinders as Scott was pushed near the two.

"Much appreciated, lass," Flynn thanked. Just as they kicked away more grinders and Scott appeared, the magnet monster showed up before them. Using its powers, it drew the rangers toward him. The rangers pulled away, but the magnet brought them back. Scott and Flynn were sent toward Summer and Dillon first. The magnet shoved Bailey away with a little more force and she went flying toward the others. Flynn managed to catch her before she could knock them over.

"Look out!" Scott cried just before they were all knocked down by the magnet, Bailey still in Flynn's arms. The impact of the blast caused them all to lose their morph.

The magnet moved and headed for the city.

As the rangers fought off the attack bot, Nina and Dr. K were trying to dig up information about Ziggy that could help plead his innocence. Despite Dr. K not really liking Ziggy, she had to agree with Nina on the fact that they needed six rangers on the team now that all the powers had been activated. After a while of searching, the doorbell buzzed and a man named Benny was at the door. After the girls let him in, Nina headed into the garage to talk to him while Dr. K helped the rangers.

"Please don't touch that," Nina spoke as she entered the room and found Benny holding Dr. K's new weapon. "It's untested." Benny carefully set the weapon down and faced her. "What do you want?"

"Ziggy is in trouble," Benny stated.

"Stating the obvious gets you nowhere," Nina sighed.

"No," Benny corrected himself. "I mean Fresno Bob has him at cartel headquarters. He's gonna make an example of him."

"An example of him?" Nina raised an eyebrow.

Benny nodded. "Yeah, for what he did."

"You mean for taking the shipment of whatever was in the truck for himself?" Nina frowned.

"Yeah," Benny sighed. "He took what was in the truck, but not for himself. He saw that it was cases of medicine, and he donated it to the orphanage so they could treat the kids. So you see, he couldn't tell nobody else or else the cartels would come after the orphanage or the kids. I helped him out of the city after that. I don't know what happened to him, and I don't know why he came back. I just know he's gonna be sorry he ever did."

The rangers had to resort to using the zords when the magnet grew bigger. None of them had any idea that Nina was off rescuing Ziggy. Flynn, Scott, and Summer were fighting the magnet using the megazord. Bailey and Dillon were on the ground fighting off grinders. When they finished with that, their communicators beeped. "Ranger Black, Ranger Pink, this is Ranger Green," Ziggy's voice spoke. "Prepare your zord sequencing. I'm on my way."

"Ziggy?" Dillon frowned. "No way."

"Move now, question later," Bailey ordered. Just as the other megazord was about to be trashed, Bailey, Dillon, and Ziggy flew in with their zords.

Scott noticed it as the three fired at the magnet. "Whoa, it's pink, black, and green."

"Make room for papa," Ziggy called as he rolled into sight.

"Roger that," Scott nodded. Ziggy's zord attached itself to the megazord. "Welcome aboard, green."

"Hey, you look good on us," Summer commented.

Flynn was as happy about it. "Uh, it throws the whole primary color balance off."

"Guys," Bailey groaned upon hearing it. "Can we focus on the monster first?"

The magnet was finally destroyed thanks to Ziggy rejoining the team. Nina had managed to rescue him from Fresno Bob's grasp and had given him his morpher back. At least, that was the story she told the rangers. At the moment, Ziggy was doing more testing in the lab as the others were sitting around and goofing off. Flynn was attempting to make another smoothie, hoping this one would turn out well and he would actually be able to enjoy it. The other four rangers were sitting on the couches, playing a card game.

"So you seriously won't tell us what was in the bag you had with you?" Scott questioned. "Not even a hint?"

"Not without mom's permission," Bailey denied. "And at the moment, the less people who know, the better."

"But you will tell us, right?" Summer wondered.

"Eventually."

A/N: Not the best ending, but it works. Thanks for reading and/or reviewing!

Info about my stories:

I'm going to try and write it ahead so that the stories I'm writing at the moment will be updated more frequently and I can work on the sequels after those stories. Updates are still going to be slow for a while as I become busier with school, college prep, and scholarship applications. But thanks for your patience!
