In the Stables

Chapter 6

Chichi tossed and turned as the thunderstorm raged on during the night. Her mind was weary, and so was her body. Goku had put her through a mental and physical roller coaster that day, and sleep was no where to be found.

"Don't start thinking about him now!" Chichi moaned into her pillows, cringing from the memory of kissing him. How was she not to remember? She could almost feel his lips against her, and his hard body pressing her against the barn. Chichi had taken a long shower, but even hot water to the point of scalding wouldn't remove the feeling of his hands from her skin. But in the end, he pushed her away.

He pushed me away! Mentally screamed Chichi as she once again tossed around on her tangled mess of a bed. The part that hurt the most wasn't Goku wanting to train alone, it was rejection after he had kissed her! Chichi didn't understand why it caused her chest to ache. She should have been ranting and raving! But for some odd reason, Chichi was in more than a shock to react any other way.

"Oh screw this!" Chichi hauled ass out of bed. The lightning and thunder only seemed to increase as the night went on. The house was empty and quiet. Her father was staying over night at a hotel on his way back from looking at a Stallion. From the way he sounded on the phone, Ox seemed excited and had good news for when he returned. Chichi didn't dare tell him about what happened between Goku and herself. It would defiantly ruin her fathers good mood, and knowing him, he would try and make it home through the storm for his upset daughter.

After pacing the house, Chichi went back to her room and went to the window. She could barely see the barn through the hard falling rain. She would never be able to look at that barn the same way again. Now it was a landmark of where she lost her first kiss to that jackass named, Goku!

Dang it! I can't stop thinking about him!

Her blood boiled. Just thinking things over and over sent her nerves into overdrive. She would love to give him a piece of her mind right about now. How dare he just toss her to the side! Did she suck that bad at kissing? Yea, it was her first time, but it wasn't that hard to get the hang of.

With a long heavy sigh, Chichi put her forehead against the cool glass of the window. Lightening flashed in the sky, then total darkness before the loud rumble. As she looked into the black, rainy night, a light caught her eye. It was coming from the barn.

"Dammit!" Goku cursed when his truck failed to start. He hit the steering wheel and jumped out to slam the rusty door closed. Violence wouldn't make his truck start, but it helped with the frustration. He was just better off grabbing one of the horses from the stall than relying on his ancient truck. The damn thing had more holes in it than he could count, the shocks were non-existing, and it leaked oil from a hose he must have replaced a dozen times. Goku just stared at the piece of junk and rubbed a greasy hand over his forehead to wipe the sweat off his brow. What a fucking day. First Chichi and now his only way to get back to the little run down apartment he called home, decided to give him the finger. After how he treated her, Goku just felt like ramming his head into something hard, hoping it was enough force to knock him out from this real life nightmare. His truck for instance. It was looking sturdy enough to take the force, but knowing his luck, the damn thing would fall to pieces on impact.

Son. Of. A. Bitch. Why did he have to kiss her? Why the hell didn't he listen to that little voice in the back of his noggin that screamed over and over to get away from her? He didn't just freaking kiss her, he groped and touched, played and humped an innocent young girl that he pushed away without a damn reason. And to top it all off, she was his bosses daughter. It was the icing on the 'fucked for sure, kiss your job good-bye' cake.

Dammit. Dammit. Dammit! How would he ever look at her the same? The way she felt, the way she tasted...it was so right. But his past refused to let him have simple joys in life that involved other human beings. If he were right in the head, he would march up to Chichi's front door step, bang on the door until she opened it, get on his knees, and beg for forgiveness.

Yeah. That wasn't happening. Hell, the poor girl was probably up in her room crying her eyes out-

"Hey." The soft voice carried to his ears. Goku twirled around, his head dizzy from the quick spin.

Holy shit. She'd come back. Now what?

Ah dammit. Chichi was soaking wet. Her cute, matching, pink pajama bottoms were tucked into rain boots, her long black hair had been drenched with the down pour of rain so that it plastered against her rosy cheeks, and the white tee-shirt she wore...well, he could tell her bra had poke-a-dots.

"Hey." He answered and then smacked himself mentally for even saying that. When he made eye contact, he wish he hadn't. That little flip his heart did had him worried every time he saw her now. This was the first time a girl had made him feel things he shouldn't. But he had to go and say, hey? How cool was that?

"Is everything ok?" She asked when he looked away and back at his truck. The hood was still up and he knew she meant the heap of metal. Not him.

"Ah, no. The damn thing wont start." He absolutely wanted to place his head under the hood and slam the rusted junk over his head. Why did he have to be so rude with her? Why did he always seem on the defense when Chichi came close? Oh that's right. She was an innocent young girl.

"Do you want to call anyone to pick you up?" Chichi crossed her arms. Even though he wasn't looking right at her, he could still see her from the corner of his eye. And who was there to call? A tow-truck to hell, because that's where he was going for the dirty deed he done to her today.

"No. I'll just sleep in my truck until I can work on it in the morning." He kept her in his sight even as he walked around the front and forced the hood down. Too bad his head wasn't under it...

"The storm is getting pretty bad. I'd hate for you to get blown away if a tornado comes along." Oh yes. Bring the tornado on. Swirl him up and spit him out a hundred miles away from her. "We have an extra room."

"I'll take my chances." He struggled to say. The offer to sleep under the same roof as her was tempting, but he rather take his chances with the threatening storm.

The lightening hit so close, Goku could feel the vibrations in his feet. Chichi screamed and the horses became restless in their stalls. The lights in the barn immediately went out, leaving them in complete darkness. "God," Chichi whined in the dark. She was scared. Hell, he was a little too. The wind had picked up, whistling through the cracks of the barn, and causing the tin on the roof to creak with each gust. "Let's go to the house. It's not safe."

"I don't think it's safe to go outside..." Goku walked over to the crack door and looked up into the sky. Lightening lit up the darkness, reaching its white sparks into the night, and hitting a near by tree. "Shit!" He cursed as he fully slammed the door to. "Yeah. You're not going back out there until this storm blows over."

*Yes! Believe it or not I updated this story...Oh you know it's only been a couple of years...Sorry about that. No excuse for the long absence. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Please let me know what you think! Sorry it is so short as well! Thank you all :)
