Doctor Who: A Lost Child

Rated M but would like advice on ratings First story of a series which will be made of different fanfictions and eventually crossovers. A Child was sent to Gallifrey for her own protection, but soon her mother found out nowhere is safe. this is the story of Maria and what she went through. this will go up to the point where the character will meet with the tv series.

6. Beginning of life at the academy

As she entered the hall she noticed all the other students in her group standing off to the side. One by one they went up to speak the ancient words. Then it was Maria's turn.

She walked up and spoke the ancient words.

"I swear to protect the ancient Law of Gallifrey with all my might and brain. I will to the end of my days, with justice and with honour temper my actions and my thoughts."

Then she and the other students were led by Miss Zentrall to a large classroom.

"This will be out main room, please take a seat."

Maria chose to sit at the front whilst others sat behind.

"I have a group like yours in every year and there is a chance I have your family members in my groups. Here are your timetables, there are three weeks on them and they are repeated after you have had all three weeks."

Maria got her timetable and looked through it. She saw that in the timetable she would be learning six different languages over the three week periods, these were the same every week. On Mondays she would have to learn English and Finnish, Wednesdays she would have to learn Italian and French and on Fridays she would have to learn Norwegian and Chinese. She realized all the languages were from Earth and had heard of all of the languages, she knew English really well and she had seen scripts of the others and knew she would definitely struggle with Chinese. Other subjects were spread across the three weeks, Galifreyean writing and speaking and reading, Mathematics, science and cosmic science, vintage vehicles, cybernetics, thermodynamics and botany.

"These timetables will be the same until you reach your 10th year in the academy, then you can specialize. Your languages will change every six weeks but you should keep revising them as we may come back to them. These are the Keys to your rooms, you will need to find your own way, and there are four groups of five and two groups of three. I hope you find your way and make each other feel comfortable."

All of them were hurried out the classroom and they started their first night in the academy.

As she walked towards her door Maria hoped that the Girls she was with were nice. When she arrived she found out she was in a room with Morgath, Torkath, Nesavia and Valkoth. They were all friends with each other and when Maria walked in they did not speak to her, but she didn't mind this that much as she preferred to be on her own, she was used to her own company.

She settled in bed and set her alarm clock for her early start, she hoped she would enjoy her first day at the academy and enjoy the first day of her new adventure.
