Eric's Alan: Please forgive how late this it

"We will take it easy with training until your arm heals,all right?" Alan said as he walked next to Jasmine. The pair had finished their work for the day but Eric had been given overtime for some unknown reason. Alan just assumed William was in one of his famous you-get-overtime-for-no-reason moods again.

"We don't need to do that. I can handle whatever you want to do." Jasmine reassured him.

"Even so I don't want to push you, so we won't do as much battle training for now."

"All right."

"So what do you think of Ronald? Not as bad as you first thought?"

Jasmine was silent for a moment before replying with "Yeah."

"Good because partners are required to live together." Alan risked a glance at the stunned half demon. "I assumed you knew since Eric and I live together."

"But you are a couple." She pointed out.

Rubbing the back of his head he said "This is true. Grell and William would be a bad example then."

"They are together?"

"Yes."

"It looks like we are the only ones out of our group not a couple." Ronald's voice came from behind.

"Oi! Don't sneak up on us!" Growled Jasmine.

Laughing Ronald said "You knew I was there."

"But I didn't."

"Sorry senpai. By the way my place is ready for her to move in."

"Already?" Alan asked "How did it get so fast?"

"Yep! I stole Eric-senpai,Grell-senpai,and Cromwell-senpai for a while last night."

"Okay I can see Eric doing this. Grell if he could avoid overtime. How in the name of all things shinigami did you get Cromwell?"

"Well his wife offered to help and he didn't want her going alone so we had an extra pair of hands."

"I thought she left him." Alan commented.

Ronald shrugged "After that little display I would have left him. He can be a real ass when he's drunk. Oh well, she forgave him."

"Who's fault is it he got drunk?" Alan accused playfully.

"Okay so I encouraged him...it's not like I forced him to do it."

"True..."

"Who is Cromwell and what are you talking about?" Jasmine interrupted.

"Cromwell is from the Main Branch. He oversees what goes on here and is the one who gives our evaluations."

"He is way more fun then William-senpai."

"His wife works in General Affairs. She is also the one we talked to about getting your death scythe." Alan added while unlocking the door. "Ronald why don't you stay for a bit."

"Sure."

"Oh I almost forgot! What all did you have to do to the house? I know you used the extra bedroom for storage."

Ronald rubbed the back of his head "About that...be careful opening your closets senpai."

"What? Why?" Alan questioned cautiously though he already knew where this was going.

"I didn't have enough room so some of my things are here and the rest at William-senpai's place.

"I should have known..."

"As for your other question all we did was move the boxes I had stacked everywhere."

"Try selling some of it. Does William know about your stuff?"

"No."

William tiredly unlocked the door to is flat that he shared with Grell. He had overtime along with Eric and Grell due to several mistakes and incidents involving recruits. Opening his closet door to hang his coat up he was crushed against the floor by a pile of small but very heavy boxes. Shoving them off he briefly wondered where they came from before opening them. They all contained the same thing: Ties. Finding that they were labeled "Ronald" he groaned and staggered to the couch and fell into the soft cushions,he could deal with it in the morning.

"Okay so on a serious note,what are we going to do about her exams?" Eric asked while sipping on his tea.

"Good question..." Ronald looked over at Alan.

"Not a clue. William wants to do it himself."

"That can't be a good thing." Jasmine sighed and pushed Yasashii away from her hair "That isn't toy."

"Well he won't fail you unless he thinks you aren't ready." Eric offered.

"Eric-senpai look at it like this. She is a half demon and her powers are far stronger than any normal half demon. William-senpai hates half demons and demons alike."

"Your point?"

"Eric you know he will be twice as hard on her than any other recruit." Alan sighed.

Over the next two weeks Ronald and Jasmine began to trust each other more. Jasmine had finally moved in with her partner as required by dispatch regulation. He had helped her train when Alan couldn't get out of a few collections thanks to William.

"Whatcha thinking about?"

"Nothing. Just worried William won't pass me."

Ronald grinned. "You will score so well he will have no choice but to pass you."

"He hates me. Why did he have to be the one giving my exam?"

"Because he wants to see how you are doing personally. It is your time to shine!"

Jasmine blushed and looked away. "Says you..."

"Says me,Alan,Eric,and Ronald. Don't worry about the paired soul collection. William might be mean but he is fair!" Grell said happily as he plopped down on the other side of Jasmine.

"Grell..."

"For once Grell is right." Eric said sitting across from the three shinigami "You will do fine."

"Even if you are at a disadvantage compared to everyone else who went to the academy."

"And Grell's moment is over." Alan laughed leaning over the back of Eric's chair.

"Oi! Back to work!" William growled from the door to the lounge.

"Ah come on Will~"

"No. Michaelis come on."

Ronald squeezed her hand before following Grell,Eric,and Alan out of the room.

William glared after the other dispatch officers as they returned to work "Now we should be off. Here is how this is going to work. You are to collect a soul scheduled to die in an hour. Normally you would be paired with another recruit,but you will be working with me instead. When I say this I mean you will not receive any help. It wouldn't be fair to me or the other recruits. Let's go."
