Kagome: You took forever to update what took you so long?
Legolas: Yes it has been quite a while since you have updated
Pandas: I'm lazy, but I recently watched Lord of the Rings and now I am motivated again! Yay!

Chapter 6
The fellowship was currently taking a break from their journey setting up a fire and recovering their strength for the road ahead giving Kagome time to observe the handsome elf who has been on her mind lately. She wasn't sure if she liked him yet, I mean she just met the guy, and she wasn't fully over Inuyasha's betrayal. She was nervous about giving her heart to someone else after having it crushed so ruthlessly before.
"Are you well?" Legolas asked Kagome in elvish causing her to look up startled. Legolas was right in front of her genuine concern for her well being on his face causing Kagome to blush.
"Yes I was just thinking about something, it is not that important." Kagome replied quickly causing Legolas to raise an eyebrow at her. Aragorn and Gandalf watched the exchange and took extra notice to the bright blush painted across Kagome's face.
"So Kagome where did you live before the quest I am quite certain I have never seen you before and I am very familiar with all of the elf towns?" Legolas questioned and Kagome panicked on the inside she didn't want to say that she came from another world he would think she was crazy for sure. So she quickly made up an answer that wasn't technically a lie.
"I traveled with a close group of friends who were more like family until Inuyasha the boy I was in love with betrayed us. Kilala and I escaped with our lives, the others weren't so lucky. They gave their lives to give me a chance to escape. After that I traveled back to my real family but Inuyasha had beaten me there and murdered them as well," Kagome said sadly trying not to cry as she thought of the people she had loved so dearly and the man who betrayed her love and trust and taken everything she cared for even her son. Poor little Shippo was so brave and sweet. He always tried to protect her from Inuyasha's rude behavior and she couldn't even save him. She couldn't save him from a terrible fate and he paid the price with his life.
Legolas watched the mysterious elf with sad eyes as she tried not to cry. He could tell that these people had meant a lot to her and swore to himself that if he ever found this Inuyasha, he would make him pay for what he did to Kagome.
