Equestria saga: Friendship flows
"You're trespassin' on my farm."
"Your... farm?" Wingzero looked puzzled at the filly.
The orange filly with big green eyes and freckles examined the intruder while he was still tied up. "Ah never seen you around these parts before. Whats your name partner?"
"Umm Wingzero." He replied as he sat up.
"Hmm... something about that name sounds familiar. Any-who, names Applejack. Sorry ah tied yah up but I cant have you eatn' the apples. We live off of those you know."
"Oh I'm sorry, I understand completely. I didn't know this was a farm." Wingzero struggled within the rope until he used a bit of force to break free.
"Whoa there!" Applejack's mouth sprung open with amazement. "That knot kept my big brother tied up for two hours straight! You must be pretty strong being able to break through it in less than a second."
"Yah you could say that." Wingzero said unwrapping the rest of the rope off of him. "Hey, Applejack... Listen, I'm sort of a traveler, in other words I'm foreign to this country."
"Oh you are? Where yah from?"
"Zen-umm..." Wingzero tried to think of another place so he doesn't give away his identity. But his lack of knowledge in geography wasn't helping him at all.
"Zenopalopoliss..." He grinned as he spoke out whatever his brain could possibly cook up.
"Zenopalopoliss? Never heard of it. Where is it exactly?"
"Oh you know... N-north west up there or something..."
Applejack held a questionable look on her face which made Wingzero a bit nervous, making him believe that she wasn't buying in to what he was telling her. Her expression shifted to a joyful smile as she grabbed Wingzero's hoof and shook it vigorously.
"Well its nice to meet yah Wingzero from Zenopalopoliss. Welcome to Sweet Apple acres. We don't get too many visitors, especially from other countries. So Allow me to kindly give you a little detour of my families farm."
"Thanks thats nice but I was hoping you could tell me where Princess Celestia lives?"
"Sure thing friend but I gotta introduce yah to my family first." Wingzero was dragged along the ground by Applejack's tightening grip. As they entered a red house near a field of corn, Applejack burst through the door and pulled Wingzero inside.
"Hey yall, look who ah found wondering about the apple trees. Its a foreigner!"
"Applejack yah can't just bring total strangers inside without their consent." An old mare sitting on a rocking chair said.
"Thats my Granny Smith. She and my older brother are the only ones home right now. My Ma and Pa are at an auction in Appleloosa."
"Umm..." Wingzero was quite confused but managed to go along with everything.
"Whaddaya say we go meet my older brother!" Applejack pulled Wingzero outside and around the house to the area where the Apple family kept their hay.
"Hey Big Mac! Stop workin for a minute and come meet my new friend!" Applejack called.
A red colt with an orange mane was stacking up piles of hay when he turned around to Applejack's attention. He trotted towards his younger sister with his eyes caught on the blue colt standing next to her.
"This is my brother Big Macintosh. He's the strongest in the family next to my Pa. Thats why hes always stacking hay and moving the plow."
"Eeyup!" Big Mac replied with a smile.
"Listen Applejack its really nice of you to introduce me to your family but I'm on a really important...umm... mission."
"A mission?"
"Yah. I need to know where Princess Celestia's castle is. I'm a messenger sent to give her... a gift."
"A gift you say...? Well I'll be darn, you must be a really important pony then. Sorry I wasted your time. Princess Celestia lives all the way in Canterlot. You can see it from here." Applejack pointed upwards, Wingzero looked to her direction were a massive castle stood on the side of an entire mountain.
"Huh? Now why didn't I see that before. Thanks Applejack. Well... see you later I guess. It was nice meeting you." Wingzero's nimbus flew in front of him as he hopped on it.
"Wait. Before you leave. I've got one questions to ask." said Applejack.
"Okay, I got time."
"That cloud your ridin'. It seems... really familiar. Like I've seen it before. Where'd ya get it?"
Wingzero began to get a tad bit edged. He had to avoid getting himself identified or all of Equestria would be on his tail, making it harder for him to swiftly take down Celestia.
"Uhh..uhh Its a cloud one of the pegasi left out during midday. I thought I'd use it to get around since my wings are tired from traveling."
"Oh...alrighty then. Well I guess ya better get going."
"Okay then... bye." As Wingzero steadied himself on his nimbus for takeoff. Applejack suddenly notice something that sparked a memory hidden in her brain. His tail. Applejack remembered everything her Granny almost had a heart attack about in the news papers.
"Wait a minute... that tail! Y-y-your! Your!"
"Crap!" Wingzero cursed as he thought of a way to convince Applejack that he wasn't what she was thinking.
"Wingzero! I knew that name sounded familiar. You're not a messenger from Zenapolopoliss. You came from Zenkai to kill the Princess! Thats why you wanted to know where she lives!"
"Yah...you're absolutely right... I'm sorry I lied to you." Wingzero turned around as his nimbus began to slowly ascend off the ground.
"Where do you think your going!?"
"To the castle, where else? I have to do this Applejack. You wouldn't understand."
"Ah cant let you leave here!"
"Dont try to stop me. You read the papers didn't you?"
"I'm not afraid of you Wingzero." Applejack glared.
"You're very brave but I've hurt a lot of ponies who thought the same way you did. You're just a foal like me so I'm not going to waste the energy fighting you. I'm leaving." Wingzero ignored Applejack as he, again, adjusted himself for take off. Applejack glared and huffed in anger. She couldn't just let Wingzero get away. She had to do something to stop him. Thats when her reliable brother, Big Mac, stomped his hooves on the ground, his nose puffed and shot steam. Wingzero turned around and looked at the colt who was challenging him. Big Mac jumped in the air and with all his strength tackled Wingzero off his nimbus and on to the ground. Wingzero looked at him with a blank expression as he was pinned to the ground by the bigger colt. Big Mac lifted his hoof upwards, threatening Wingzero as he was about to punch him.
"Dude...get off me." Wingzero said.
"Nope!" Was Big Mac's reply
Big Mac brought his hoof down hard only to punch the grass below him. Wingzero had disappeared. Big Mac and Applejack were both amazed but frightened at the same time. They looked around for the colt when they suddenly found him standing on the nimbus cloud. He smiled at them and flew away. Applejack and Big Mac ran towards him fast, he hovered just above the ground where they could catch up. AJ grabbed the rope that was lying on the ground with her teeth. She lassoed it in the air and launched it at Wingzero. The roped wrapped around him and tightened on his body as he moved.
Instead of falling off his nimbus, Wingzero was aware this time that he was tied up by a rope. His strength allowed him to continue moving while Applejack held on to the rope; instead of pulling off Wingzero, she was the one who was being pulled. She held on tightly to the rope as Wingzero thought it would be fun to ride around the farm a couple times. He burst in laughter as he saw Applejack hanging on for dear life. Her face in complete shock as Wingzero flew faster on his nimbus. After he was bored he flew around a tree several times, literally tying Applejack to the tree itself.
"Alright. That was fun but I really gotta get going. Bye!" Wingzero poked Applejack in the nose as she glared at him furiously. As he took off into the sky a frantic Granny Smith ran outside.
"Applejack! That boy you brought in the house is the monkey pony they've been talkin' about in the news!" She stopped panicking when she saw Big Mac looking very confused while Applejack was tied to a tree.
"Oh my. We've gotta warn the whole town!"
Wingzero chuckled as he flew into the sky, thinking about the expression on Applejack's face. His laughter stopped when his stomach rumbled. "I didn't eat enough apples to satisfy my hunger. There's gotta be some other place where I can eat."
"I think I now what would hit the spot!" A mysterious voice said from under Wingzero.
"Huh... who was that?" Wingzero looked around for any pegasai flying near him. He looked down under him, where the voice had came from. His eyes opened in shocked when he saw a pink filly with a cotton candy mane, poking her head out from within the nimbus. She held out a plate of over a dozen cupcakes in mid air while they were flying over 50 miles per hour.
"What the! Who are you?"
"Pinkamena Diane Pie. or you can call me Pinkiepie for short." The filly said as she stood up right next to Wingzero.
"You're an earth pony. How'd you get up here?"
"I climbed in your yellow cloud while you were eating apples."
"Why?" Wingzero asked.
"To surprise you. I love surprising ponies especially ones I've never met before. I always throw parties for the new ponies I meet. Ever since I got my cutie mark its all I've been doing. Oh! That reminds me what's your name?"
"Wingzero... Listen Pinkiepie, you shouldn't bounce around so much, you could fall off and-" Wingzero looked next to him and didn't see the Pink filly "Pinkiepie!" He looked down below in worry that she had fallen off, but surprisingly she popped up behind him, with another plate of cupcakes.
"How the..."
"I know you're hungrier than most ponies so I went down real quick to get a second batch." Pinkiepie held both plates of warm chocolate cupcakes.
Wingzero stopped the nimbus in mid air. His taste buds stood up as his mouth watered. The scent of the freshly baked goods opened his nostrils. Wingzero ate each and every cupcake in less than a minute. This time he felt satisfied and he was able to hone his energy, ready to fight Celestia for the last time.
"You were right. That really did hit the spot. Now that I'm full, I'm ready to fight Celestia!"
"Fight who?" Pinkiepie tilted her head with a curious smile.
"Oh... no one, I was just talking to myself. Anyways... I need to get going is there a place where I can drop you off?"
"That rock farm right below you." Pinkiepie pointed down
Wingzero looked down to see a wide grayish area, of what was obviously a rock farm. He wondered why a happy go lucky pony like Pinkiepie would come from a gloomy place like this. "This is where you live?"
"Yah I know. It was a sad and boring place at first but me and my family were able to make something fun out of it."
"Neat. Now hop on my back so I can take you down." Wingzero propped downwards.
Pinkiepie replied with a loud yay as she hopped on Wingzero's back and held on around his chest. The colt leaped off the nimbus rather than descending it to the ground. Pinkiepie screamed in joy and laughter as they fell 200 feet from the air. Wingzero landed elegantly on the ground.
"I've met a few different ponies today and you are the most interesting pony I've met so far. I don't know how many times I said this today but It was nice meeting you. See yah."
"You're just going to leave? But I haven't thrown you a party yet." Pinkiepie said putting a random party hat on Wingzero's head.
"Is everypony in this country so persistent in wasting my time?" Wingzero thought as he became a little irritated. "I'm sorry Pinkiepie but I got something really important to do. You'll probably have to schedule your party for later."
Pinkiepie pouted as she looked to the ground "What if you dont come?"
Wingzero sighed. "When I'm done here I'll come back and party with you... I promise."
"You Pinkiepie promise?"
Wingzero looked questionably at the filly. "Yes I... Pinkiepie promise..."
"Cross your heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in your eye?"
"Look I'll comeback okay! Besides there's sompony I wanna see before I leave here so I'll be sure to stop by."
"Oki doki loki!" Pinkiepie said with a smile.
Wingzero waved his hoof at his new friend as he walked away and jumped into the air with a burst of power that sent him all the way into the sky and landing swiftly on his nimbus. Pinkiepie looked up at this sight in awe. The two of them waved at each other once more from 200 feet apart before Wingzero dashed away.
He pushed his nimbus at full throttle, causing it to accelerate in speed. The air blew through his mane as he flew straight towards Canterlot which looked to be miles away. Something caught his eye from a far. Wingzero saw a golden carriage flying in the sky. It was being pulled by Equestrian Royal guards. And sitting in the carriage was none other than Princess Celestia! Wingzero immediately stopped his nimbus and almost fell right off it from the force. He gazed in disbelief at Celestia as she traveled along the horizon. Was she really flying right in front of him? Wingzero thought. His opportunity was so close to him. He redirected the nimbus and dashed towards Celestia's range. He charged his energy to get ready for his attack. He filled himself with so much power that he felt he could literally blow Celestia away with one attack. His heart pumped faster as he came closer but was still several hundred yards away from her. Suddenly, Wingzero had been blindsided by a blue blur which flew past him at an incredible speed, nearly hitting him directly. The momentum of whatever had passed him had caused Wingzero to spin around uncontrollably until he flew off the nimbus. He kept himself in the air by using his wings this time. He shook his head as he felt dizzy. Wingzero rapidly looked all over the sky for Celestia but he had lost her. He looked down at a small village below. Fortunately he regained his sight on her. The royal guards had descended to the ground, carrying the carriage she was sitting on. Wingzero abandoned his nimbus and decided to fly down there himself. But suddenly he was stopped in his tracks by an angry looking pegasus who flew right in front of him and grunted with fury.
"Ugh! What now!?" Wingzero grunted
"Hey! Whats your problem? I was almost about to pull off a sonic rainboom for the second time ever until you got in my way!" The filly said, as she glared viciously at Wingzero.
"Look, I'm sorry but... wait a sec..." Wingzero paused as he examined the filly in front of him. His eyes widened when he came to realize it was the exact filly he saw in his dream. That cyan coat, her rainbow mane and tail, her cutie mark.
"I've seen you before..."
"Well duh. Dont you know who I am?" The filly crossed her hooves.
"You're the filly I saw in a dream I had."
"Heheh... well I bet I've walked through the dreams of a couple of colts before." The filly blushed, thinking Wingzero was trying to hit on her.
"In my dream you had a black mane and a tail just like mine." Wingzero said as he held up his tail, showing it to the filly.
She gazed in complete shock at the tail. It wasn't the kind of shock ponies get from seeing another pony with that kind of tail, but it was more like she was remembering something that had stunned her.
"You know something about me... dont you?" Wingzero asked.
The filly gazed at Wingzero with the same expression. "I-Impossible. I thought they were all dead..."
"You... know what I am?" Wingzero smiled as he knew that he was finally going to find out what he was.
The filly turned around slowly as she began to fly away. "No... sorry I must have been thinking of something else."
"Wait!" Wingzero grabbed her hoof. "Please... I have to know!"
The filly looked down in sorrow. "I'm...I'm sorry... I just cant... remember."
"What do you mean?"
"It was... so long ago. Part of my memory was lost. I've been having these dreams about it."
"About what?" Wingzero became more eager for a reliable answer.
"I dont know... But you're the only pony who has a tail like mine."
"But what happened to your tail? Its...different."
"I wanted to fit in, so I asked a unicorn to make it into a regular ponytail. Its been cast with a spell to keep it like this, but it turns back when shown in the light of a full moon."
"No way!? Somehow my power is connected to the moon."
"Yah, I've figured that out myself before. But bad things apparently happen when I look at a full moon."
"Same here! I always have these dreams of a giant monster causing a rampage but I never remember going to sleep. And then when I wake up, everypony around me is scared of me for some reason and they won't tell me why."
"I've had similar dreams about a rampaging giant monster too!"
The two foals examined each other, the rainbow filly felt Wingzero's furry tail.
"Listen I don't know much but I can tell you a lot more things that you probably don't know. Follow me to my place, we can chat there."
"Grr... darn it I..." Wingzero looked at the small village where Celestia had landed in. He wanted to get to her very badly but this was his one and only opportunity to finally find out who he was.
"Something wrong...?"
"...no" Wingzero looked away from the village and followed the filly.
The two foals sat inside a large cloud house. As Wingzero sat at the end of the rainbow filly's bed drinking a soda pop offered by her, he looked around her room seeing the multiple posters of the Wonderbolts and pretty much anything having to do with racing.
"Before I begin, lets introduce ourselves. My names Rainbowdash."
"I'm Wingzero."
"Wait...Wingzero? Holy crap you're that pony from The Zenkai Empire! The one who's wiping out the entire Equestrian army!" Rainbowdash said looking more impressed rather than afraid like everypony else.
"Yep... thats me." Wingzero replied with a slight smile.
"No wonder. Only a pony whose as strong as we are can take on the entire army and fight Princess Celestia herself."
"So you're saying that your powerful too?"
"Damn straight! I only act as a regular pegasus to fit in, but in real life, I can destroy Celestia with one hoof."
"Whoa! You're kidding."
"I'm dead serious. When I discovered my powers I started training to become the strongest and fastest pony on earth. Ever heard of a sonic rainboom?"
"No?"
"Basically, when a pegasus reaches a certain speed in velocity, they are able to break through a barrier which creates a sonic boom that sends a wave of spectrum and light into the sky."
Wingzero suddenly remembered he saw something just like that in his dream.
"A sonic rainboom is completely impossible for a normal pegasus to do it. And it's also how I got my cutie mark."
"I see... But do you know anything more about what we are exactly?" Wingzero asked.
"Well I know that we both have monkey tails, our power is somehow connected to the moon, and we're stronger than any normal pony on this planet including alicorns. So my guess is that we're the last of some kind of extinct civilization of super ponies."
"That seems...logical..." Wingzero said thinking questionably of Rainbowdash's guess.
"But Wingzero... tell me, what do you remember from your past? Something that has anything to do with where you came from."
"All I can remember was falling from a waterfall when I was a really young foal, and hitting my head on a hard rock."
"Its obvious how you forgot where you come from. You got a concussion from hitting your head and your memory was wiped out."
"Yah... your right... but what about you? What can you remember and how did you lose your memory?"
"I don't know how exactly I lost my memory. All I remember is waking up in a place called rainbow falls. I was also a young foal at the time."
"So if we both lost our memories then how do we find out who we are...?"
"Not sure. But maybe someday we'll run into more ponies like us. And maybe they'll have the answers to all our questions."
"Hey do you think... Celestia might know?"
"Hmm... you know... I think you might be on to something."
"She's over two thousand years old; maybe I could get some kind of answer out of her."
"But what makes you think she knows other than the fact that shes really old?"
"After she discovered my power she would stop at nothing to kill me. Maybe she has something to do with why we're the only ones of our kind. My guess is that she killed all the ponies that were like us to extinction, and somehow were're the only ones that survived."
"That's not a bad idea."
"Before we flew into each other I was just about to catch up to Celestia. Right now she's in a small village below your house."
"You mean Ponyville?"
"Yah. I saw her being escorted by royal guards. I assume you know why I'm here. And if what you say about yourself is true then I may need some help."
"If you came here to kill the Princess to end the war then count me out. I'm sorry but I've worked too hard to maintain the identity I have here. I've been chased out of many towns for being a freak. At one time I wasn't able to control my power and I hurt a lot of ponies. But ever since I moved to Cloudsdale I made new friends and I made sure to control my strength. I maintained my abilities and became the fastest filly in all of Equestria. I can't let all of that go to waste by helping you kill the Princess of Equestria. You'll have to fight your own battle.
"I understand. But you're right. This is my battle that I have to fight alone. Celestia dishonored my country and everything I stand for. Not only that, but the actions of this war led to the death of my mother. And that is why she must pay. If she doesn't surrender now I will have no choice but to kill her."
"I may not be able to help you but I can teach you how to tap into a few hidden abilities that I discovered."
"What kind of abilities."
"Well do you know how to speak telepathically?"
"Telepathically? What do you mean?"
"Just clear your mind of all thoughts. And pay attention to me."
Wingzero cleared his mind as he could hear almost nothing with in the room. He concentrated on Rainbowdash as she looked to be doing the same. He then began to hear her voice.
"Can you hear my voice? Sounds a bit echoey in here doesn't it?"
"Wow that's so cool!" Wingzero said self-consciously.
"I know right? I've been only able to do this with unicorns and certain other ponies. But I've figured since we're the same, it would work on you."
"Awesome! What else can you do?" Wingzero broke the telepathic trance.
"That was probably the only thing you didn't know how to do." Said Rainbowdash.
"Well it won't help me beat Celestia but still, being able to speak telepathically is useful nonetheless."
"SOMEPONY ANYPONY PLEASE HELP!" The voice of a crying filly in distress shouted in Wingzero's head.
Wingzero ticked at the loud screaming and looked around the room. "Did you hear that?"
Rainbowdash looked puzzled at Wingzero "here what?"
"That voice, someone's calling for help."
Rainbowdash emptied her thoughts to listen. She could clearly hear a screaming and crying filly calling for help.
"You're right! I hear it too. Let's go check it out."
Wingzero nodded in agreement. The two foals then flew out the upper window of the cloud house. Wingzero looked down at Ponyville. He decided that he will put a hold on facing Celestia till further noticed. Finding another pony who was just like him and discovering he had something more to learn about himself extended his desire to want to stay in Equestria for a little while.
"No! Please get away from me! I didn't do anything!" A white unicorn swung her horn around, threatening the wild diamond dogs who were surrounding her. Her horn glowed with a light blue aura as it was charging a level 1 magic attack. Something that would hardly inflict any damage to a diamond dog.
The unicorn backed away from the wild dogs as they grinned at her with their slanted eyes and held up their sharp paws as they were ready to snatch her.
"You think you can just waltz in our land and dig up our diamonds? Well! Do you!?" The ferocious diamond dog shouted as he glared at the crying filly.
"N-no... I-I'm sorry I'll never come here again. I promise!"
"Too late for that pretty pony! You've already taken a lot of our diamonds. We should kill you, but since you have a talent in finding diamonds, we will enslave you instead."
"Enslave me! No please, anything but that!" The filly's face became drenched in wet tears.
The diamond dogs all gathered around her in a hollering and cackling frenzy. The filly laid her face to the ground and covered her head with her hooves. She wished for these monsters to go away. She sobbed even more as she made the ground wet with tears. That's when suddenly, she heard a loud bang. The diamond dog's laughter changed into screams and yelps. The filly looked up immediately to see nothing but floating dirt around her. As the dirt faded away, she saw a blue colt standing before her. Surrounding him were the unconscious bodies of diamond dogs, laying motionless on the ground. The pegasus looked down at the unicorn in concern.
"Are you alright? I heard you needed help and I sensed that you were in this area." Wingzero held a hoof towards the filly.
"I-I-I'm..." The filly was shocked and unable to form words. The colt standing before her was the most stunning looking pony she had ever seen in her life.
The filly gazed at his ruby red eyes as it shined from the light of the sun. She adored his remarkable cobalt blue coat. His exotic tail made her curious but it spoke the very word fashion. But the most stunning part of this colt was indeed his long and spiky jet-black mane. The edges of each spike was so perfectly aligned and symmetrical, the filly couldn't help herself but scream.
"My goodness you're Simply marvelous! I must know who you are."
"Wingzero." He replied no longer caring weather the filly knew him as a threat to Equestria or not.
"Wingzero..." The filly spoke his name slowly. It was a perfect and fitting name for such a stunning colt. "I am Rarity. My talent is in fashion. I came here looking for diamonds to make my best line of dresses ever, when suddenly I was ambushed by these awful diamond dogs that popped out of the ground."
"Wait you were being attacked?"
"Well of course. Isn't that why you knocked them out?"
Wingzero turned around and saw the unconscious diamond dogs laying on the ground. He didn't' know they were there.
"Oh!... Did I do that?" Wingzero smiled.
Rarity gave a cute giggle as she looked seductively at him.
"Umm... you're looking at me weird..." Wingzero backed two steps away from Rarity.
"I'm so grateful that you saved me. Is there, perhaps anyway I could... thank you?" Rarity asked as she closed in on the colt, her face only an inch from his.
"No... not really..." Wingzero was very confused.
"Oh I'm sure there must be some way I could show my gratitude..." Rarity picked up Wingzero's hoof and held it close to her heart. She closed her eyes and brought her lips towards his face.
Wingzero hadn't kissed a filly since he was 8 and he already had feelings for Fluttershy. Seeing how there was no escape, he closed his eyes and braced himself for the incoming smooch. But then, Rainbowdash swooped down in an instant, breaking their kiss as she landed right in the middle of them. "Nice work with those monsters Wingzero."
"Rainbowdash!" Wingzero felt relieved.
"Rarity are you alright?" Rainbowdash asked
"Yes I'm fine but Rainbowdash... Is this colt your friend?"
"Best friend." RD replied smiling at Wingzero.
"Why didn't you tell me you knew such a good looking stallion?"
"I've only known him for about a couple hours. I ran into him while I was flying and we just became friends. But I would have kept him to myself anyways. Ever since you hit puberty you've kinda turned into a slut. Cant have you taking all the colts off the shelves if you know what I mean."
Rarity blushed as she gave an irritated grin towards Rainbowdash.
"Umm... what do you mean keep me to yourself?" Wingzero asked.
"Oh, uhh... nothing. I wasn't meaning anything by it." Rainbowdash said before both her and Rarity shared a chuckle.
Wingzero became confused again.
"So Wingzero. I've never seen you before. Where are you from darling?"
"The Zenkai Empire." He replied, not caring whether Rarity knew who he was or not.
Just as he thought, Rarity's eyes sprung wide in shock. Her mouth opened. "The Zenkai Empire!?... but that means... your tail...its, ITS!"
"Cool it Rarity. Hes not as bad as the papers told him out to be." said Rainbowdash.
"But he is an enemy to Equestria! What is he doing here!"
"Its classified." said Wingzero.
"He came here to kill the princess." said Rainbowdash.
"Okay then... yes, I'm here to kill the princess."
Rarity backed away in fear. "Y-you're... going to kill Celestia!"
"Think about it Rarity. Because of this war, thousands of innocent ponies were killed and thousands more will die if the war continues." Rainbowdash explained.
"Shes right. I already fought Celestia twice and she refuses to surrender. Killing her is the only option I have left."
"But... you cant! Shes our princess. I can't let you. I have to tell somepony!" Rarity turned around to run back to Ponyville, only to be stopped by Wingzero, who was miraculously in front of her. Rarity fell on her flank from the mere shock.
"Come on Rarity. Dont you know who I am? You can tell someone if you want to but at this point, nobody can stop me."
Rarity got up on her hooves and ran past Wingzero, heading back to Ponyville.
"Gosh the townsfolk are gonna flip out when they find out you're here! And I don't mean just flip out. If you know Ponyville like I do, they'll have a friggin stampede over the fact that you're in Equestria." Rainbowdash said, smiling at the thought of running and screaming ponies.
"They should fear me. My people did the same thing when they found out that Equestrian soldiers had invaded Zenkai."
"You're really pissed off about this war aren't you?"
"I'll be happy when this is over. And by over I mean when royal guards are scraping what's left of Celestia off the floor."
"So how do you plan to kill her?"
"With a powerful energy blast. If it wasn't for the elements of harmony, my kamehameha wave would have sent her to oblivion."
"What are elements of harmony...?"
"I... Forgot. But they're something that Celestia used against me. Long story short I was overpowered by its magic and I lost the battle. But I was told its power could only be used once a year, so I came back for round 2 and... well I don't remember what happened after that. Next thing I know ,I wake up in Equestria. So I probably lost that battle as well. But this time I'm more stronger and I will defeat Celestia!"
"Well even though shes my princess and I'm suppose to be loyal to her, I'm on your side. I believe that you can beat her, and finally put an end to this stupid war."
Wingzero nodded in response. "Well then... no more distractions. I'm ready to finish this." As Wingzero prepared himself to blast off into Ponyville where Celestia is currently located; the diamond dogs rose from the ground in anger and confusion. They looked around their area till they saw the two foals. The leader of the pack confronted Wingzero and growled with furry.
"You! I dont know what you did to us but your gonna pay!" The diamond dog balled up his paws into fists.
Wingzero looked at the vicious diamond dog with a blank expression. The very same expression he gives to any opponent, who he would hardly have to waste any energy to take down.
"Hey..." Rainbowdash spoke from a distance. "I forgot... there's one more thing I wanted to teach you." She walked in front of Wingzero, facing the diamond dog before her. He suddenly felt a strange energy emitting from her body.
"What? You want to die too?" The diamond dog brought his sharp paws towards Rainbowdash as if he was going to rip her head off.
Rainbowdash began to laugh malicely. The diamond dog looked puzzled but then glared at her. His glare suddenly turned into horror when he witnessed the filly's face changing form. Her eyes glowed red and her teeth enlarged and sharpened. Rainbowdash looked exactly like a monster. She growled at all the diamond dogs, her voice became deeper and monstrous. The diamond dogs whimpered in fear and backed away from the savage filly as she walked towards them menacingly.
"What the hell is that!? Thats no pony!" A subordinate dog said.
"We gotta get out of here! She's gonna eat us!" All of the dogs scurried away and into the holes they crawled out of.
Wingzero stood in amazement. He walked towards Rainbowdash to get a better look at her horrifying face. But instead she looked normal. Her eyes and teeth were normal. "What's up?" She asked.
"What was that!?" Wingzero looked stunned, he wanted to know how to scare his enemies like that as well.
"I dont know really. One day when I was little, I got surrounded by a group of foals who were bullying me. I was so angry that it just... happened."
"Could I do that too...?"
"Yah its pretty easy. We are the same after all. You just think of something that makes you really angry. When you suddenly feel like something is about to burst, let it out with rage."
"I was always taught to control my anger. What if I lose sight of myself?"
"I hadn't thought about that. I've only done it several times in my life. Mainly to scare away bullies."
"Well, I'll at least put it to use when needed. I must be going now. I hope Celestia's still in Ponyville. Otherwise I'll still get to her no matter what."
Ponyville town square was crowded with concern and frightened ponies. The mayor of the town stood among them trying to calm them down.
"Ah saw him walk in my house with my own two eyes! He even tied my granddaughter to a tree!" Granny Smith said, increasing the fear of the crowd.
"Calm down, calm down! Princess Celestia has already informed me that she will personally rid of Wingzero. Citizens, we have nothing to fear. Our powerful sun goddess and bringer of the day will fight this monster and banish him to the moon as she did with Nightmare Moon over a thousand years ago." The mayor spoke out to the crowd relieving them of their fear. They were still very frightened but they had faith in what the mayor was telling them.
Suddenly everything became quiet. The faces of townsfolk become shocked and stunned with horror. The mayor of Ponyville couldn't find out why they were like this. She looked on in the middle of the crowd where ponies immediately back away. Her eyes widened in shock when she saw, standing in the middle was...
"I-Its...him..." The mayor became stunned. She couldn't form words. She felt like she was standing right in front of an oncoming train.
Wingzero arose among the crowd. He looked on at all the different multi-colored ponies. He had never seen Equestrian civilians in their natural habitat.
"So...where's Princess Celestia?" Wingzero asked, looking at the mayor.
"I-I-I...S-she's in the castle... preparing to fight you..." The mayor stuttered.
"Darn! I just missed her... oh well I can still reach the castle with in time."
'Wingzero! We finally found you!" Two royal guards pushed through the crowd and made their way infront of the foal.
The crowd cheered as they felt relieved that the royal guards had come to save them. The guards glared at Wingzero as they casted their swords. The two stallions ran towards the foal and swung their swords at him only to have missed and piercing the air instead. In the blink of an eye, Wingzero knocked both of the stallions out with one hoof. The crowd was in silence, completely awestruck by what happened as they backed away further. The mayor ran up to Wingzero with a large golden key in her mouth. She dropped it to the ground in front of him and backed away, shaking in fear.
"Whats this?" Wingzero asked.
"Its the key to our town. We surrender. Please dont hurt us!"
"Umm thanks but I'm not interested in taking over. I just want to fight Celestia. Which is why I'm leaving now." As Wingzero turned around and walked away from the crowd of frightful ponies, a familiar voice shouted at him.
"You'll never win! Princess Celestia will beat you!" Applejack left the safety from behind her grandmother and confronted Wingzero.
"Thats right! Shes the most powerful being in the world!" Rarity said as she too confronted Wingzero.
"And you're not invited to my party!" Pinkiepie shouted from a distance.
Wingzero looked at all of the angry and scared ponies around him. He had never felt so hated before. But he didn't care. He hated them too. He walked away as everypony who stood either close to him or in his way quickly scurried in fear.
"WAIT!" A loud but soft voice spoke out.
"Fluttershy...?" Wingzero recognized the voice. He turned around to see a yellow pegasus approaching him. She walked towards Wingzero and embraced him.
"Remember what I told you?" She asked.
"Of course." Wingzero replied, hugging her back.
"Even though they all hate you. I'm still your friend."
"Fluttershy... what are you doing!?" Applejack looked in shock.
"Get away from him, he's dangerous!" Said Rarity.
"No he's not. He's just misunderstood, you don't know what he's been through."
"Fluttershy. Why are you protecting him?" Rarity asked.
"Because I... I... I...lov..." Fluttershy wasint able to finish her sentence when she had suddenly been pierced by an arrow.
Wingzero looked at her in shock. Blood spewed out of her. Fluttershy's expression was completely stunned. All the ponies in the crowd screamed in horror as she fell to the ground, her body became limp and motionless.
"FLUTTERSHY!" Wingzero immediately, without thought, ran to her aid. He lifted her up as he examined her wound. An arrow stuck out, going straight through her back and out of her chest. Wingzero broke the end of the arrow and pulled it out. Fluttershy was trying to speak but couldn't form any words as her breathing became hesitant.
"Shut up! Dont talk, just breath!" Wingzero said, pressing Fluttershy's wound to try to stop the immense bleeding.
Applejack and Rarity were in complete shock. They were unable to process what had happened. All the other ponies were trying to find out where the arrow had been shot from. Fluttershy gazed one last time at Wingzero as tears flowed out her eyes and crimson liquid ran out of her mouth from the internal bleeding. Wingzero tried to think of any way he could save her as blood continued to pour out of her like a broken faucet. Fluttershy looked at Wingzero in Sorrow as her movements became slow. Her heart beat became slower to the point where there was not a single pulse. Her eyes became still and motionless as if she were looking at a bright and beautiful light. Wingzero could not fathom in his mind that Fluttershy had died in his hooves. Rarity covered her mouth as she began to cry. Applejack ran back to her grandmother and older brother in tears. The rest of the citizens were still in complete shock from witnessing a filly's death right infront f them.
"Oops! Did I miss? I meant to hit you Wingzero..." A royal guard said, standing on the roof of a building. He was a brown coated pegasus wearing golden and platinum armor. He held a bow with in his wing and a case of arrows on his back. He smiled at Wingzero with a smug grin on his face. "Did I accidentally kill your little friend? I'm very sorry, my sight is not as good as it used to be."
Wingzero stood up with the most furious glare he had ever made. "Get down here you stupid bastard!"
The archer laughed. "Are you challenging me foal?"
"Murder! You shot that filly on purpose!" The mayor shouted with outrage.
The archer leaped off the building and descended to the ground infront of Wingzero. He put his bow behind him and casted his sword.
"I am the most successful killer in all of Equestria! That's why I joined the army. So I can kill freely without having to hide any bodies. And I had the greatest time ever in Zenkai."
Wingzero stunned at that.
"Me and my comrades raided villages, raped and slaughtered mares, torched stallions, and laughed as we tossed foals into the fire. It was so satisfying. Their screams of pain and suffering were music to my ears."
Wingzero's anger rose beyond any normal limit. He felt he could burst into an explosion that could kill everyone. His vision was in red as the soldier went on about how he slaughtered innocent ponies.
The soldier laughed maliciously at Wingzero's face. He held his sword upward and pointed it at the foal. "When I came back from the war, I felt more alive than ever. Bet then I got bored. I haven't murdered anyone in over a year, but when I shot that filly, my fire was lit up, and now I feel like going on a killing spree, just like I did in Zenkai."
"Why would they recruit monsters like this in the royal Equestrian army!?" One onlooking pony said.
The soldier stared at Wingzero with a an insane look. His smile curled up to his cheeks and his eyes shrunken to small dots.
"Now, I will cover the ground in your blood. Foals are always so much fun to kill!" The mentally psychopathic soldier lifted his sword upward and slashed it downwards.
Wingzero merely grabbed the tip of the sword with his hoof and held it tightly. The soldier struggled to get his sword out but the foal was far too strong. Wingzero broke the tip of the sword with barely any force. The soldier became shocked and frightened. Unfortunately for him, he was the only soldier of the royal guard who didint know what kind of foal Wingzero really was. He dropped his broken weapon and quickly pulled out a shorter blade as he shouted in anger and swung the knife. Wingzero's incredibly lightning fast punch, burst through the soldiers stomach before the knife came with in an inch of his face.
The solider squealed in pain as blood and gore fell from his large wound and painted the ground red. Wingzero pulled out his bloody hoof as the guard backed away and coughed out over a liter of blood. He then fell to the ground. He looked up at Wingzero with the same malice smile. "You cant kill me! the Zenkais cant kill me! Celestia herself couldn't kill me! You and I are the same. We both have the power to annihilate living beings without remorse!" The soldier began to laugh insanely and uncontrollably.
Wingzero walked towards the soldier who laid on the ground, bleeding into a large red puddle. As the soldier continued laughing, Wingzero had no expression on his face as he lifted his back hoof and stomped it right on the soldier's head; smashing his skull and splattering his brains all over the ground.
The onlooking ponies gasped in horror. Some of them could not hold their lunch from the sight of the fatality. Wingzero turned away from the dead corpse. His red eyes lit up with rage as he attended to Fluttershy. He ran his hooves down her pale face as he closed her lifeless eyes shut. Wingzero lifted Fluttershy in his hooves. The flying nimbus appeared from out of the sky and hovered infront of him. He placed her body on the golden cloud laying her down peacefully as if she were sleeping soundly.
"Wait! Where are you taking her?" Applejack confronted Wingzero.
"I'm taking her with me. I know a way to restore her life. I'll have to go back to Zenkai. I hope the dragonballs are still there."
"Did you say dragonballs?" The mayor asked while shaking in her hooves from what she had just saw. "Celestia told me about these dragonballs. She has them with her in the castle."
"Well then. It looks like I don't have to go far."
"Wingzero wait! What are dragonballs?" Rarity asked.
"I'll explain that to you later. I have to leave now." Wingzero hoped on the nimbus and dashed away into the sky with Fluttershy's body as an escort. As Rarity, Applejack, and Pinkiepie stood together. They looked at one another and nodded in agreement that they will fallow Wingzero to Canterlot.
"Alright ponies, let's get going! It's gonna be a long way till we get to Canterlot." Applejack said.
"I'm going too." Rainbowdash flew from a cloud above and landed infront of the trio.
"Rainbowdash!" Pinkiepie cheered.
"Wingzero is my friend and I have to be there for him."
"Well... If you and Fluttershy are Wingzero's friends, then gosh darn it he's our friend too!" Said Applejack
As Wingzero traveled through the air he took a glance at his lifeless passenger. Fluttershy's face was berried in the nimbus, her mane covered most of it. "I'm sorry I let this happen to you. I promise I'll bring you back Fluttershy. But first..." Wingzero looked at Canterlot as he flew closer towards the sparkling golden city. "I'm coming Celestia. It all ends here..."
Authors note: The next chapter may be a little delayed because I have to write a chapter for my friend's fanfiction called 'Equestrian war'. The two part finale is next. Not really the finale of the saga but a turning point in the first part of the series. Get ready for some epic battles on the next chapter of My Little Pony Z.
