and again I OWN NOTHING!

After the little 'match' between Kouga and Kagome, Kagome ran into Hannah and she helped Hannah hang lanterns.

"So what do you guys do at celebrations like this any way," asked Kagome

"Usually the pups play games and we dance and just celebrate," she answered with a shrug, "nothing too special." the two continued to work.

"Oh," Kagome sighed out. She was hoping for a little more of a description. "Oh! Hannah, can I ask you a question?"

"Anything, Sister,"

"Kagome," she corrected before she continued on. "When I saw Kouga this afternoon he had one of my jewel shards in the arm and when Sango and I asked him how he got them he said that he found them when you accidently knocked over my bag," she explained.

"And?"

"Well I had two. One form the Birds of Paradise and one form Kouga's arm. I was hoping you could tell me where he put the last shard is."

Hannah giggled at this request, "And what makes you think he would tell me, if he didn't even tell you? Sorry Sister, but even if i did know I still couldn't tell you. Kouga would have made me swear not to tell anyone."

Kagome groaned in aggravation.

Kouga looked over everyone. It was sunset and people were getting hungry.

"I think everything is ready, Kouga" said Ginta.

"Then let's start the celebration," he said with a grin, as he walked to the big pile of wood, a torch in his left hand. With one big howl everyone went quiet and looked to him.

"Brothers and Sisters, tonight we celebrate, we celebrate the end of war and the peace that has returned to us." Kouga looked over the crowd "Thanks to the bravery of our comrades we were able to fight strongly and with the help of my friends we won our fight. This will bring a time of peace and prosperity to our pack. When we stand together we are strong. Tomorrow there will be more trials and we will face them like we did today, but tonight we feast and celebrate our victory! "

And with that he threw the torch onto the the wood. Another waved of cheers and howls were made and everyone started to celebrate.

Kagome and Sango watched the whole thing and just took in their surroundings. To say the least they were amased. Sango, being a demon exterminator, had never heard of demons doing anything like this. Kagome simply never seen a party like this. When it all sank in the two joined Tsubaki, Ami, and Hoshi in the celebration. They all were having fun, laughing and talking. After some time it got dark and the moon, stars, and fire were the only things that brought light. When Kagome got tired she sat to the side and watched her friends dance to the music. Hannah emerged from the crowd and approached her.

"You enjoying yourself, sister?"

"Yes, very much," Kagome decided to just let the wolves call what they wished, it seemed like they weren't going to stop calling her "sister" any time soon anyway. "I've never seen anything like this." she said with a smile.

The music slowly started to change to a softer tune. Kagome closed her eyes and started to sway to the music, drawing her knee to her chest. Losing herself to, not only to the music, but the laughing, singing, and the pure happiness that radiated off of them.

"Do you care to dance with me," came a voice.

Kagome's eyes shot open, "hm?" she met the eyes of Kouga.

"Come on," he pressed, taking her hand in his and pulling her to her feet, "dance with me."

Kagome gasped and tried to pull back to her spot on the ground, "Oh no, I don't dance."

Kouga merely pulled her in closer to him. Resting his hand on her hip and the left intertwined with her leaned in and whispered in her ear, "Then let me teach you." at first she awkwardly moved with him, but as they danced, the more she enjoyed it. She couldn't help it.

'There was that feeling again.' she thought, 'the same feeling that told me to come back to the den and made me stay in his arms this morning.' She had to look at him. When she looked up at him, their eyes met. He had a handsome face and the smile just brightened it. Not a mischievous one or a cocky smirk, but a real, sweet smile. The flames of the fire reflected off of her brown eyes to his icy ones. She was so entranced by his eyes that she completely forgot that she was dancing. Kouga was no different. Kagome's eyes sparkled with mirth as they stepped side to side, dancing. She giggled as he spun her under his arm and pulled her close he stared at her plump lips and started to lean in. She did the same -

"Hi guys," Sango interrupted, Kagome snapped back to reality and pulled away from him with a deep blush on her cheeks "sorry to interrupt, but," Sango began to slowly pull her away from Kouga, "gotta go," she finished. He stared after Kagome as she walked away with her friend and disappeared with in the crowed. Leaving a confused wolf behind.
