Restaurant with Jake's parents, Fu, and Lao Shi

"So no one's going to say anything about the dog sitting at the table?" Johnathan asked.

"It's acceptable among the magic community." Susan said, reminding her husband that they weren't in an ordinary restaurant.

They were dining in "Spellcasting's Lunch and Dinner Hall." It was owned by three witches and it was surprisingly good.

"I try to avoid awkward conversations, but what do you think about Jake and Rose?" Fu asked.

"If Jake is happy, I'm happy." Johnathan said.

"It's going to tear him apart when he has to leave her again though." Susan said sadly.

Susan, along with all the other adults at the table had no clue that Rose would soon be moving back stateside. Specifically New York City.

"Trixie is helping Jake pack now." She said.

"Did you see that he packed a unicorn costume? Fu dog, you and Jake have been spending too much time in the Magus Bazaar." Lao Shi said.

"Magus Bazaar?" Johnathan asked.

"It's like a market place for magical creatures…gramps doesn't like us hanging around there too long because…well I don't know why."

"Because you run up my credit card buying things like unicorn costumes!"

"That one was all the kid!"

"So Trixie and Spud always knew?" Johnathan asked.

"Yes." Fu said, "Even Rotwood knows. The only one who didn't know was you."

"I can't understand why you didn't want to say anything."

"I didn't know how you would react, but now that everything is out in the open life should be a lot easier!" Susan smiled.

"How long have the kids been alone?" Susan asked.

Back at Hotel

"Finally!" Jake sighed and zipped the last suitcase.

"Go talk to Rose, I'll handle your sister."

Jake walked out of the room and saw Rose sitting by Haley.

"Jake talks about you all the time! He really likes you." He heard Haley say.

"He told me he loves me." Rose sighed.

"Do you love him?"

"I do."

"What is love like Rose?"

"You're a little young."

"Pleeeease Rose, tell me?" Haley begged.

"Well...love isn't just caring about someone a lot. When you're in love you always put that person first, you can't live without him and when you are apart you can't help but miss him…and worry about him…and just have him be yours forever." Rose said.

"Do you think Jake feels the same way? Like he can't live without you." Haley asked.

Jake chose that moment to enter the conversation. He came up behind Rose and kissed her cheek. "Yes Haley, I do feel the same way."

"Are you finished packing?" Rose asked.

"Yeah! Let's bounce." Jake said and took Rose by the hand.

"Where are we going?"

"Somewhere we can be alone." Jake said.

"You have something planned don't you Dragon?"

"Think you'll get in too much trouble for being a little late for curfew?"

"How late?"

"Tomorrow morning."

"I'm intrigued."

"Then come on." Jake said extending his hand.

He opened the door and started to leave but turned around, "Haley tell mom and dad not to wait up, and if they ask I'm handling some dragon business."

He closed the door. "Now to take care of your parents…would they believe you're staying the night at a friend's house?"

"I don't know, let me call them." Rose said and pulled out her phone, "Hey dad? I told Jess I was moving and she wants to have a goodbye sleepover, we're going to invite some of the other girls…no there won't be any guys…yes her parents will be there…I know daddy, no drinking, drugs and- No! Jake has some dragon business tonight so even if he wanted to he couldn't stop by. Dad have I ever lied to you? Okay, thanks. Yeah I'll be by to pick up some clothes. Clean underwear, I know. Okay, I love you too. Goodbye."

Rose hung up and rolled her eyes. "He's so overprotective but I love him."

"So you want to drop by your house and grab some clothes? We can fly."

"Only if you tell me what we're doing."

Jake sighed and took Rose's hand. "I'm pretty close to the Chinese Dragon, his dad owns a few hotels. So I had him pull some strings and we got the king suite. I know what you're thinking. Hotel, means sex. It's not like that though. I just want to be with you for one full night before I leave. I know you're going to New York but it will be a whole month after I leave. If you're uncomfortable with the idea it's fine..."

"No sex?"

"I won't do anything you…or I'm not ready for."

"Thank you Jake."

"Okay, now let's go…bring a nice dress and a swimsuit."

"Nice! How am I going to top this when planning our next date?"

"Wait...won't your parents be suspicious?"

"They aren't home until late, now lets go!"
