One week later...

"You're finally here," said Sokka.

"We would have been here sooner if Bumi and Tenzin hadn't argued," said Toph.

Toph got off the boat followed by Lin, Tenzin, Bumi, and Izumi.

"So, why did Mom ask us to come here?" Bumi asked.

"Follow me, and you'll see," said Sokka. They followed Sokka into an Inn. They sat down at the table in the dining area.

"Where is everyone?" Toph asked.

"Zuko booked the whole place for two weeks and told the staff to take a vacation," said Sokka.

"So, where's Kya? And Zuko and Mom?" Bumi asked.

"Let me go get them," said Sokka.

He left the room and went to one of the upstairs rooms. He knocked on the door.

"Come in," said Katara. She was sitting at the vanity brushing her hair.

"They're here," said Sokka.

"Really?" Zuko asked. "I guess we shouldn't keep them waiting."

"They were asking about Kya," said Sokka.

"I think she's in her room asleep," said Katara.

"I'll get her. Just don't take too long," said Sokka. He left the room.

Katara finished fixing her hair.

"Are you ready?" Zuko asked.

"Are you?" Katara asked. Katara got up and walked downstairs.

In the dining room, at a large table, everyone sat and waited for Zuko and Katara.

Zuko and Katara came in holding hands.

"Dad, what's going on?" Izumi asked.

"Yeah, Mom, what's going on?" Tenzin asked.

Zuko and Katara looked around at the people they loved, then they looked at each other. They squeezed each others hands gently for reassurance.

Zuko cleared is throat. "We asked you all here because we have announcement to make."

Everyone waited anxiously.

"We're getting married," said Katara.

"You're WHAT?" Tenzin asked as he got up from the table.

"Sit down and listen to what your mother has to say," said Sokka.

"Uncle Sokka," said Bumi shocked.

Tenzin sat down with his brows furrowed.

"The reason we asked you here is because we want you to be here," said Katara.

"We know you may not understand, but we want you to be a part of our lives," said Zuko.

Bumi looked at Tenzin and was confused. He said, "We're already a family. What do you mean?"

"And what about Father?" Tenzin added.

Katara squeezed Zuko's hand and looked at her stomach. Then she looked forward at Bumi then Tenzin and finally Kya.

"Your right, we became a family a long time ago. Things are different now though, and your father isn't here," Katara's voice started to shake. She let go of Zuko's hand and tears formed in her eyes. Then she said, "I'm going to have more children soon."

At this news, Tenzin got up from the table and walked rapidly out of the Inn. Zuko followed him but was only able to watch as Tenzin took off on his glider. Katara followed after Zuko and Tenzin.

"I think he just needs time to adjust to the idea," said Sokka, who appeared behind Katara. Sokka continued, "I think everyone else is wondering what's going on."

"Come on, let's head back," said Zuko. Katara looked out in the direction Tenzin took off, and Zuko said, "Sokka's right, Tenzin is just shocked and probably angry. He needs time to think it through by himself. He'll be back."

"Okay," said Katara unsure."But I'll still worry until he comes back."

They headed back to the dining table.

"So are you two really getting married? Or is this someone's idea of a joke?" Bumi asked.

"It's not a joke," said Katara. Zuko continued, "We'd like for all of you to be here for the wedding ceremony."

"Here? You're having it here? Why?" Kya asked.

Zuko and Katara looked at each other.

"It's a special place for both of us."

"What if we don't want you to marry?" Izumi asked.

Zuko and Katara looked at each other, both feeling older and more tired than they had in a long time. They both sighed. Then Zuko said, "If that's what you want, but we will still be a family."

"I see," said Izumi. "Then I won't stand in your way."

"Neither will I," said Bumi.

"You have my support, Mom," said Kya.

"So that just leaves Tenzin?" Toph asked.

"Yeah," said Sokka.

"I'll go talk to him," said Lin.
