"Alois."

"Alois…"

The blond boy groaned softly and shifted in the big bed, way too tired to go up yet. "Nnhg..N-no.." He grumbled and hid his face in the pillows, nuzzling the soft fabric.

A soft chuckle erupted from the throat of the demon and a hand ran through the tussles of blond hair that he loved so much. "Come on, you have to get up now little angel. We have a lot of work to do without the servants here and a lot of things to pack. I have already taken down the bags."

The young boy shook his head and grunted into the black pillow, making his lover sigh and lean over him, his body pressing against his slightly. "Come on, you are acting like a child Alois."

Claude nuzzled his head against the others, making black mix with blond. Leaning down to his ear he breathed against it softly and kissed it. "I will treat you with something really good if you are a good boy and pack down your clothes before dinner tonight." He purred and caressed the small shoulders.

Heat rose to the young males pale cheeks and he wiggled under the man. "F—fine… Get off me.." He murmured and tried to push him away, but was far too weak. Happily he removed himself from the smaller ones, moving to the side of the bed. "Good."

Alois groaned and sat up, rubbing his right eye with the base of his palm. "As a reward, could I get cake?" He yawned and stretched his arms over his head, letting the night shirt ride up his milky thighs.

"I had thought of something else, but I guess I could make you some. But now, it's time for breakfast." The blond boy nodded and held his arms out with a small smile. "Carry me to the breakfast table Claude." As the strong arms wrapped around his small waist the smaller boy closed his eyes and leaned his head against his lovers shoulder.

"I made you some blueberry scones with Jasmine tea. I hope that will be enough before packing together your belongings?" Alois nodded against Claude's shoulder. After all there was not so much too pack down for him.

Walking down along the corridor to the stairs it was quiet between the two. The only sound that was hear was the sound of Claude's feet softly walking down the stairs, he had not bothered to get properly clothed today because they were alone and had no one to expect. Well, that is if it didn't come any uninvited guests once again.

While they had entered the dinner room Claude sat his fiancé down and kissed his four head. "Dig in little angel."

Alois had been packing together all his clothes as the sun was starting to set outside over the horizon. It was coloring the sky in a beautiful orange and red hue, making its way through the windows and made the youths hair look golden.

Claude had already finished all packing for everything else and was sitting on the bed in their room, the only thing that still was not neatly tucked down in a bag. It looked empty in the big room, no paintings, no papers, quills, personal things, only one big bed that looked like it always did with the dark silk sheets.

When the blond closed the bag he looked up at his fiancé and offered him a gentle smile. Making his way up to the bed, Claude's shirt that was wrapped around his small frame reached down to his thighs and moved as he laid down next to the bigger body.

"Tomorrow we will be off, Alois. After that nothing will be in our way." Honestly the demon told himself it more than to his young lover. He was worried things wouldn't go as planned and they would get attacked on the way.

The blond curled up next to him and looked at his sharp, but still soft face with those bright blue eyes and reached up to play with his pitch black hair. Claude flashed the youth a smile and caressed his back gently. "Go to sleep now, we have a long travel ahead of us."

The demon looked around in the room, it felt so empty. He had never had anything really personal or such in his house, but with everything packed down with only the furniture left made him feel slightly uncomfortable.

Closing his golden eyes he just stayed like that, moving to lay down with his fiancé.

The demon snapped his eyes open as he heard a strange sound from down stairs, the sound of slight sparking. He furrowed his brows and sniffed in the air as he slowly raised his body from the bed and looked around. It looked normal inside the room, but the slight colour of orange in the window.

Getting up without awakening Alois he walked to the window and looked out. His eyes widened at the sight of people surrounding the mansion as well as a big amount of the golden flames that had reached into the mansion and burned the lower parts already.

Swearing for himself the demon glared at the men running away into the forest to leave him and Alois behind. They had started it. To think that humans were this cruel to another of their own species, poor Alois could die…

Stepping away from the window he shock the youth slightly and woke him up calmly. "It's time to wake up, we need to get dressed." Claude cooed as calmly as he could as he took the younger's clothes and began to dress him immediately.

"Claude.." The blond murmured tiredly and glanced at the watch. "It's still early. I thought we were going at seven. It's only some minutes in five now." The spider shook his head. "It's a fire down stairs. We can't stay."

The cerulean eyes widened at the words, his heart started to beat faster as he just stared at the demon in front of him.

Fire.

Taking a deep shaky breath he began to shake slightly as he was dressed and Claude stepped away from him to dress himself. Looking up at the ceiling he tried to calm down, but in vein.

"Come, The bags are already in the carriage.." The demon mumbled, fearing that they might have burned down it as well, perhaps taken the horses. Taking his lovers small hand in his he walked quickly towards the door and furrowed his brows at the sound of wood cracking. Slowly opening the door he gritted his teeth as he saw the fire spreading through the corridor.

Closing the door again Claude thought of how to get out. He himself could easily go through the fire and not get damaged, nor would the smoke hurt his lungs either, it was Alois who he worried about. Jumping out the window would not work so good with the thought of fire on the ground as well, even if they got out Alois could get hurt.

The blond stood there and stared into nothing as his past flashed before his eyes. The fire, his brother..

Luka.

"Alois, we will jump out the window and then run for the carriage. Okay, is that okay for you?" He asked and looked down at him. "Alois?"

Kneeling down in front of his lover he patted his cheek softly and looked him in the eyes that were staring right through him. It scared him, had the fire traumatized him anyhow? But what.. Didn't he know everything about the blond youth?

Standing up he scooped the blond up into his arms bridal style and went to the window, opening it and looked down. It wasn't far, nor was it a big amount of fire down there, what frightened him was the flames licking the side of the mansion from the window underneath them.

Standing up in the window and holding onto the frame as he did he looked down at Alois. "Please hide your face in my shirt Alois." The boy seemed to have heard him and did as told. Smiling the demon kissed the crown of light hair before letting go and held both his arms securely around the small body and jumped out.

The landing was perfect and only a few feet away from the burning building. Quickly he moved away from it and looked around, not seeing the carriage at first but soon spotted it a bit away, but, it was burning as well. Letting Alois go he kissed his head. "Stay here and I will be back in a second." Claude cooed and ran up to the carriage to see if anything wasn't burned.

The sun was starting to rise over the horizon and made the fire look even more burning than during the dark. Alois watched as the sun slowly made its way up, but looked away as he knew he would get blind if looking too much at the bright light.

Pulling his knees to his chest he buried his face in his arms. His chest felt clenched at the thought of his dead younger brother again. It made him cringe and whimper lowly as he pushed the thoughts away.

Soon the demon returned to the blondes side with two bags, one small and one trunk. Alois glanced up at him and frowned slightly. Was that all that was able to be saved from the fire. "Alois, come. I caught one of the horses and calmed her down."

"But.. the things-"

"We got money enough to buy new clothes in Paris. We need to be going soon so we won't miss the boat."

The blond nodded and stood up slowly, feeling now how weak his legs were. Honestly, at the thought, Alois hadn't been outside in a while now. Smiling slightly at feeling the fresh air the youth bit into his lip and took hold of Claude's arm as they walked to where his fiancé had tied the horse to a tree.

It was a great silence while they walked and the blond was helped up on the horse. The stoic male seated himself behind Alois and took the rails in his hands and turned the horse towards the road and snapped them, making the horse break into a gallop.

The cold morning wind whipped against the blonds face and made his cheeks rosy red. Closing his eyes he gently let go of the horse's mane to pull his jacket over his cold cheeks.

The sound of a whistle broke through the morning and the shouting of a boat echoed through the London coast. A heavy metal boat slowly set sail towards France with about half of the rooms full. In one of the rooms a cold blond sat on the bed with two blankets tightly wrapped around his slender frame.

He was coughing and sniffling with his runny nose every fifth minute. Claude was still outside their cabin in a search for tea and perhaps some breakfast for his sick lover. Making his way to the dining part he had found what he was looking for.

Alois slowly moved to lay down and fumbled with the blankets a bit to make them cover his entire body and tried to tuck himself in as good as possible. After the ride in his thin clothes the boy had caught a angry cold.

For the hundred time he rubbed his finger under his nose he closed his eyes and felt the slight burning from his watery eyes. What if he had caught a fever? He did feel rather cold, even shivering under the two thick blankets.

It was a good thing they were traveling with first class while he was in a state like this. It was more comfortable in the more classy rooms.

Alois opened his eyes as he heard the door open and watched as Claude entered with a tray filled with a pot of tea and a cup together with blueberry scones with marmalade and something that looked like salmon.

"Breakfast is here Alois." This was the second thing Claude had uttered after getting on the boat to the smaller male. Was he angry? Annoyed? At him perhaps? Was it the fact that his poor health had made him sick once more?

"Thank you." He choked out and sat up again. Getting handed the hot cup he sipped the Darjeeling tea and sighed softly, closing his eyes and reached for one of the blueberry scones, munching on it.

The dark haired male started to remove his clothes and stayed in his white shirt and undergarments, moving to sit on the bed next to Alois, to help him if it was needed. He could see the visible pale skin with a bit of a flush on his round cheeks. He got sick rather often. Perhaps it was only human, but it worried him.

Handing Claude his empty cup the blond felt his weak hands tremble a bit, but keeping them as straight as he could. The demon noticed this and gently cupped his hands. "Are you alright Alois?" He asked softly and looked into his glazy eyes. The blond nodded and slowly removed his hands from the other ones.

Claude put the cup on the tray. "Do you want some of the smoked salmon?"

"No thank you, I'm tired." Alois cooed and flashed him a tired smile, getting a nod in response and was laid down on the bed slowly. The demons lean fingers ran through his fair blond hair, kissing the slightly hot four head.

"Well then you should sleep." Claude cooed and tucked the blankets around him softly before standing up to turn the lights of and cover their cabinet window, then returning to the bed and crawled down under the blankets, moving to hold the slightly quivering form in his strong arms.

His hand caressed his hair and felt the small hands rest upon his chest, gripping softly at the fabric of his shirt. "Good night Alois." The man mumbled, knowing fully it was morning, but the youth had a rough morning. He needed all the sleep and rest he could get if he would get better.

Slightly rubbing his shoulder, Claude nuzzled his nose into the tussles of blond hair and closed his golden eyes.
