Hello, everyone! Here's chapter 7. I hope you enjoy this chapter!

"Tommy! Tommy! Tommy!" two high pitched squeals sounded from behind Tommy.

Tommy smiled as he whirled around and swept his two younger cousins off of the ground and into his arms, spinning around while they giggled, uncontrollably.

"What's up, elves?" Tommy asked.

(Uncle Jesse's nickname for Michelle is munchkin, so Tommy nicknamed the twins elves)

"Draw!" Nicky exclaimed in excitement.

Tommy smiled, widely. "You want me to draw with you? Okay, but keep your markers off the walls please."

The twins grabbed Tommy's hands and dragged him into the kitchen, where Timmy seated himself at the impressively tiny chairs sitting at their activity table.

Nicky and Alex climbed onto their own chairs before each grabbing a piece of paper and some paint, beginning to drag the paint brush across the paper in seemingly random patterns.

"What are you two drawing?" Tommy asked as he began his own illustration.

"Surprise!" Alex replied.

"It's a surprise," Tommy interpreted. "All right."

The eldest Tanner child (or more like the youngest adult now) began to sketch a drawing of their family- his uncle Jesse and aunt Becky were each holding one of the twins; Tommy had a hand on DJ's shoulder and an arm wrapped around Kimmy's waist (she was just as much a part of the family as any of the others); Uncle Joey was hugging Stephanie; and their dad was holding Michelle (who hadn't yet hit a growth spurt, so she looked like a three year old at five years old) against his waist. It was probably the most detailed drawing he'd ever done.

"Ready to see?" Nicky asked.

Tommy nodded, and Nicky and Alex pushed the drawings across the table.

It was a drawing of him (not a good one, but it was obviously him) standing hand in hand with the twins.

Tommy smiled. "I love them. Tell you what: I'll put all of our drawings up on the fridge."

Nicky and Alex nodded, their faces splitting into toothy smiles.

Tommy stood up (with some difficulty since these small chairs were not made for twenty-one year olds) and pried three magnets off of the fridge before pinning the pictures to the fridge.

Tommy yelped as he felt something wet hit his back, and he laughed as he turned around and found Nicky and Alex holding paint brushes in their hands, having just flicked the blue paint at Tommy's turned back.

"Oh, it's on!" Tommy exclaimed before grabbing a paint brush and beginning to flick paint at the twins while they squealed and doused their paint brushes in green paint. Speckles of paint flew towards Tommy while he tossed his own wads of paint at his little cousins.

"What is going on here?"

Tommy and the twins whirled around to see Uncle Jesse crossing his arms over his chest, raising his eyebrows at his children and his nephew.

"Uh…" the three of them stammered.

"You three are-" Jesse began.

"But it was fun, Daddy!" Nicky said.

Jesse opened his mouth, and the twins quickly realized it was a losing battle as tears filled their eyes.

"Uncle Jesse, don't punish them. They don't know any better," Tommy told them. "I should've been more responsible."

Nicky and Alex looked at him in thanks, clinging to his legs, tightly.

Jesse glanced between his twin sons and his nephew, seeing the happiness in their expressions. Tommy had never had much time for the twins, what with college and his sisters and Kimmy; this was the first time Jesse had seen them truly bonding. Maybe it was messy, but it was also kind of sweet, as well.

Jesse smiled. "You three have to clean up the kitchen… but I'll let you off the hook just this once."

Tommy grinned. "Thanks, Uncle Jesse!"

"Yay!" the twins shouted.

Tommy smiled down at the twins as he realized something.

He would protect these boys just like he protected DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle: with everything he had. He loved these boys more than life itself; he didn't know what he would do if he lost the two kids at his side, and that's why he knew he would protect the twins. He would put his life on the line if necessary.

Nicky and Alex weren't his cousins, no matter what DNA or family relations or birth certificates may say. They were his little brothers.
