Akashi has never been so interested by another person than himself before. The first time he saw Kuroko, it took his breath away. How could he ever miss the sight of the pale boy practicing so hard in the gym alone, sweat pouring down his face, sheer determination written on his face without stopping to take a break just to practice to get accepted in the team?
It was fascination. Never once has someone or something intrigued him. He found everything and everyone boring, unworthy of his time and attention. But this, is the mystery he would like to uncover, on how did the boy manage to escape his line of vision. It is worth a shot really, because ever since he laid his eyes on him, he never took it off his mind.
He never did let down his guard around anyone including his family members. His family isn't even like how a real family is. He was jealous of many others who can return to a place called home. Although he may live in a house, it isn't a home to him. Forced to be the epitome of perfection since young, taught to be the ultimate and never, ever let his emotions get the better of him.
All that changed when he got to know Tetsuya. You can say it's love at first sight. Unknowingly, his demeanor changed ever since he got to be friends with Kuroko. The mask he had on constantly slipped away, leaving his bare features exposed to Tetsuya. He was happier than he had ever been whenever he is with Tetsuya.
He let go of everything to be with Kuroko. The mask he had put up for so long was taken down in a second in the hands of Kuroko. It's surprising how Akashi didn't keep up a fight with his inner turmoil that some unknown person is breaking down his wall of defense, stripping him bare.
The day he went back to his iron defense was the day everyone decided to change. Even the feelings for Kuroko changed. Driven by the desire to win and that no one should never try to underestimate him, he changed back to the person he once was, except this time it was more crueler, more terrifying, more cold-blooded. It's as though something twisted in him, overtaking the Akashi Kuroko brought out.
Kuroko was of course; distressed when his love treated him no different than how he treats his teammates. He thought he was different, special even. He knew the drastic change would upset him. Even a touch to Akashi would earn him a snarl, a glare or harsh words like "Don't touch me" and "Know your place."
He couldn't even bear to see the face of the redhead during practice. Everyone is constantly upgrading themselves, becoming stronger in their expertise. Him? He wasn't strong enough. He was considered a weakling in everyone's eyes. He was frowned upon on by his teammates. He is nothing but a burden to them. His stats lower than average, presence which cannot be spotted without any difficulty and most of all, the title of being a 'shadow' is being overwhelmed by his strong light. They left him at the back to wither, never once giving him a second glance.
His friends turned their backs on him.
He continued to break every single passing day.
He couldn't take it any longer and decided to end it all. It is going against his morals. He'll make sure to imprint it in their minds and make them regret their actions.

"Hey Akashicchi. What exactly was inside the letter?" Kise asked.
The question piqued everyone's interest.
"What letter?" Kuroko asked, dumbfounded.
The letter was like a slap in Akashi's face. Together with the resignation letter, there was another one personally for him. He remembered the day the read the letter, it was like a wave of emotions hitting him all at the same time. The letter held all his heartfelt feelings, every date that they went. Kuroko recalled vividly and penned it down. Even after Akashi changed, he still expressed his love in the letter. 'No matter what you've become, you are still the Sei-kun I love.' The letter had stirred something in Akashi. 'You will never know the importance of someone until that person is lost.'
When he had read it, he sniggered feebly to himself. He was such an idiot. It was uncharacteristically uncanny of him to feel this way.
The other Akashi had wavered a little.
"Nothing that you guys should know of unless any of you wants to learn about Tetsuya's and my love life." Akashi smirked.
Kuroko's cheeks tinted. The others made a retching sound and furiously shook their heads. Akashi being in a relationship is bad enough and knowing about the contents is worse. God knows how mushy the redhead is towards his lover.
The teal haired boy gradually remembered more things about his time with Akashi as days passed. It came naturally to him. It felt pleasant and it's a wonder how he hasn't given in to Akashi's advances. The redhead is getting bolder too. Touching him like nobody's business, whispering sweet nothings in his ears and checking him out even in people's presence.
Kuroko has never felt such overwhelming emotions in a long time. It feels great yet scary. It's as though he will fall too deep once again and get hurt in the same person's embrace. There is something preventing him from getting too close to the redhead. There is something that he needs to know, or remember, before he has the liberty to really fall hard in love once again. It is like an unknown force is stopping him so.
He likes the warmth, he decides. Akashi never fails to make Kuroko feel adored. When they went for a movie night with the guys, he wrapped Kuroko up in his own sweater once Kuroko had fallen asleep. Instead of focusing on the movie, he was focused on the sleeping boy's face. It made the other four with them feel like they are intruding on their privacy. It's not that they haven't seen it before. It's just that it has been too long. They feel pity for Akashi, who is trying his best to make everything feel right.
When Kuroko woke up, he found himself surrounded with Akashi's scent. It has indeed been too long. The smell is so familiar, so distinct, that tears welled up in his eyes. He doesn't understand why. But he knows that in his heart, there is a strong sense of yearning for the redhead. His heart thudded painfully against his chest. He remembers the times when Akashi would wrap his arms around Kuroko, putting his nose against the crook of Kuroko's neck, inhaling Kuroko's scent. He found it comforting in which Kuroko would feel embarrassed and push the sniffing Akashi away. "What if I smelled bad?" Kuroko would always ask, feeling very self-conscious. All Akashi could do was chuckle and continue enveloping Kuroko in his warmth. He really was clingy.
Now, he aches for the warmth. It's already past midnight and it is getting colder. Everyone went back except for those two. There is a little distance between them. Sometimes, Akashi would grab his hand and interlock it with his own. Sometimes he would give Kuroko personal space which Kuroko feels empty. This time, he was the first one to make a move. He stood closer to Akashi and grabbed the icy cold hand into his warm ones. The look on the redhead was priceless.
He's holding me. Tetsuya is holding me!
Akashi cried on the inside. He couldn't believe it. Kuroko made the first move! Sure, it's small but hey, at least they are progressing… right? He waited for this moment far too long. Back when they are together, Kuroko never made the first move too unless he really needs the connection between them two. He is always reserved that Akashi found he needs to kick the habit away.
Neither of them said a word. The silence between them was comforting. They kept walking till they've reach Kuroko's house. It is already this late and how can he be a gentleman if he didn't send his lady home? (Not that Kuroko is a girl anyway.)
"Thank you, Akashi-kun. I had a great night. I hope we can hang out again… maybe just the both of us." Kuroko beamed, and then gave a little peck on the redhead's cheeks. "Goodnight!"
Akashi stood outside the door with a stupid grin on his face even after Kuroko closed it.
Tetsuya kissed me. Am I dreaming?
He pinched himself.
It is real.
He wishes Kuroko isn't raising his hopes up. Every little advance he makes means a lot to Akashi.

I am attracted to Akashi-kun.
Kuroko stared at the wall in front of him intently, his eyes boring holes in the wall.
Who was he kidding? Of course he would be attracted to Akashi. Who wouldn't? Well, maybe more people would if he wasn't that much of a devil.
He finds himself actually getting an achievement because; 1: he was touchy-touchy with Akashi. 2: he kissed Akashi's cheeks. And 3: All he can think of is Akashi now. (He should go and clear his head but the charming sight of Akashi makes him all gooey.)
Good job, Kuroko. He chastised himself. Now you can't sleep.
He likes how his dreams always consist of Akashi. It was like Akashi was already a part of him. Every night he would think about him, a smile gracing upon his lips as he drifted away to dreamland.
This time, it was no different.
Hello guys. Is this considered an earlier update? Haha. Akashi and Kuroko are finally progressing, though it's just baby steps. Thank you guys for being patient with me ;-;
