One eye opened, then the other. The sudden brightness made her shut her eyes. After a moment of blinking, Sakura's eyes adjusted to the sunlight. She gazed around. It was the morning and she was surrounded by trees. Okay, she wasn't really surrounded by trees but there were trees around her. Sakura blinked. How did I ended up in a forest?
Not only was she in a forest, she also felt herself moving. What the hell am I on?
Sakura looked down to see the ground moving. Yep, she definately was on something. Something that is moving. That brings another question. What is she on? Sakura decided to squirm around. Whatever was carrying her slowed to a stop. And without warning, it knock her off it.
Sakura landed on her butt, right infront of it. Sakura looked at it, trying to see what it was. With one look, she knew who it was. Sakura immediately climbed to her feet. "It's you again." She said heatedly. The person just looked at her masked face without responding.
Sakura growled. "What the hell do you want from me, Itachi? Do I have to tell you that I have no clan ability-that's because I'm not a part of a clan. And I'm not a demon holder. So why the hell are you even bothering to kidnap me?" Sakura demanded.
Itachi remained silent. Sakura glared at him. "I want my answer." Sakura said. Again, no response from the Uchiha. "And let me guess, it's for my face, right? If so, then you're never going to see it again. Because I'm leaving, whether you like it or not." Sakura turned to leave. She took a few steps, then spun around. Itachi didn't move at all. He remained in his spot.
Sakura decided to test him. She took another few steps, stopped and spun around. And again, Itachi stood in his spot like a statue. He didn't move, not even an inch. Sakura did it again for a third time. And she got the same results. Thinking that Itachi doesn't really care if she leaves or not, Sakura sprinted away, disappearing into the forest.
Yes. Freedom! I can't believe he just let me leave like that. Ha! Now I just need to find out what happened to Naruto.
Sakura walked through the forest. Despite the fact that it was the morning, the forest was dark. Sakura began to feel uncomfortable. It didn't take her long 'til she bumped into something. And what she bumped into was no other than Itachi. Sakura groaned, staring up at him from the ground. Damn
--
Sakura had a tight grip on her wrist as Itachi held it while they walked through the forest. Sakura wanted to leave so badly but she couldn't. She kept pulling her wrist, trying to free it from Itachi's grasp. But his grip was strong. The more she pulled, the tighter his grip would become. So, in the end, Sakura decided to give in. She sighed.
Sakura looked at Itachi and asked, "And where exactly are we going anyway?" Itachi didn't reply. Sakura frowned beneath her mask. "Why don't you reply to my questions? And where the heck are you taking me? Why are you so quiet? Answer me!" she demanded.
Again, no replies came from the Uchiha, He just held her wrist and walked without saying a word to her. Sakura growled. "If you don't answer me, then I'll make you do." With her free hand, Sakura pulled a kunai out of her kunai pouch. Itachi didn't seem to notice.
Sakura came to a halt, causing Itachi to stop walking. He turned and looked at her. "Okay, I'll ask you again. Where are you taking me? Tell me now! I wanna know." Sakura demanded, raising the kunai. Her plan was if Itachi didn't answer her question, then she'll stab his hand. He'll probably move his hand in time but that's besides the point.
Itachi narrowed his eyes at her. Finally, he spoke. "You'll see when we get there." Sakura gaped at him, then she thrusted her kunai downwards. Itachi, of course, moved his hand in time. Unforunately, Sakura couldn't do the same. And a moment later, "Hn." Sakura winced in pain. Slowly but carefully, she removed the kunai from her hand.
Her hand bled from the wound. Sakura winced in pain again. Sakura glared at Itachi again. "Damn you! This your fault! You're the reason that I accidently stabbed my hand!" Sakura shouted angrily. As Sakura held her bleeding, staring down at it and wincing for a moment, gauze appeared infront of her.
Sakura looked up to see Itachi holding the gauze. Sakura reached out to grab it but Itachi pulled it away. "If you want this gauze from me, you will have to be nicer to me from now on. After all I..." "Destroyed my village!" Sakura shouted, cutting Itachi off.
Itachi glared at her and rolled the gauze into a ball. "Fine. I guess you don't need it. You're too hardheaded to realize that I'm trying to help you out." Itachi said, putting the gauze back into his cloak. Sakura growled at him, holding her bleeding hand for a moment, then she stopped. "Fine." She muttered.
"I'll be nicer to you. Only if you tell me where we are heading to." Itachi took out the gauze and wrapped it on Sakura's wound. A moment later, Sakura asked, "Where are we going? How many times do I have to ask you this question before you-" "Amegakure." Itachi answered, interrupting her.
Sakura was about to asked, "Why?" but she decided not to. She shook her head then continued to followed Itachi through the forest. Many hours of traveling and resting later, they found themselves outside of the village of Amega. Sakura suddenly felt a raindrop on her hand.
Realizing it's about to rain, Sakura removed her mask. (And yes, she took off her mask a few times while they were traveling) Sakura untied her ponytail, (I failed to mention that she has long hair in this. Not as long as it used to be) then looked up to the clouds as rain began to pour down from the heavens.
Itachi had stopped walking and was staring at her. Sakura let the rain drops fall into her hair and stream down her face. After a moment of doing that, she looked back at Itachi. Her cheeks turned a little pink. "Sorry, I got caught in the moment." She said sheepishly.
Itachi didn't respond but he did stare at her. He's probably thinking: 'Even though it's raining, her eyes still sparkle brightly like jades or emeralds.' Or he's probably thinking: Having her hair lay down really enhances her beauty.' Sakura thought.
She tied her hair back into a ponytail but did not put the mask back on. Itachi grabbed Sakura's wrist again. Her wrist was still sore from the last time he gripped it. "Let's get out of this storm." Itachi said, walking and tugging her along. They entered the village.
--
Meanwhile, the village of Konoha was a mess. A devastation. Villagers began to rebulid the village. They would clean the streets, remove the debris, bury corpses and repair the buildings. It would be sometime 'til the village would be back to normal. Maybe longer. Besides, they don't know where their Hokage was.
Did the Akatsuki successfully kidnap Naruto? Or did he get away? And if so. Why hasn't he return to the village yet? The villagers hoped the best for their missing Hokage. They tried to contact their ally Suna to help them on their search to find their Hokage.
Hopefully Suna would get their message soon.
--
Days later, Sakura was in her hotel room, gazing out the window. She didn't get apartment yet. Rain poured down in sheets. Wind blew the rain water around. Sakura sighed. She has been Amega for awhile now. Probably several days or so.
And she was missing her home village Konoha. The place where she had most of her memories from. The place she grew up in. Where she made friends, had her first crush and became an kuniochi.
So many memories Sakura had of that place. Good and bad. Sakura's eyes were moist as she stared out the window, thinking. The place was nice and peaceful... until the Akatsuki came along and destroyed it! And what's worse? She has no clue where the Hokage, her friend was!
Tears streamed her cheeks. Sakura hasn't seen the sunlight since she arrived there. Everyday, ever hour, ever minute and second it would always rain. Rain storm after rain storm. Sometimes, it would stop raining. Just for a brief time. And yet, she still hasn't seen the sun.
Sakura continued to cry, all alone in her room. All the while that Sakura was there, she had grown a little more attached to Itachi. She still doesn't like him that. Not completely. Her hatred for him is going away the more she hung out with him. Anyway, he wasn't there.
The last time Sakura saw Itachi was earlier that day. He had stopped by her place to tell her that he was going on a "mission". But Sakura wasn't so sure. "When will you be back?" She had asked, staring at Itachi from her open door. He stood in the corridor. He looked back at her. "You'll know when you see me again." And with that, Itachi left.
Sakura watched until Itachi disappeared around the corner. She just stood in the doorway for a moment then she re-entered her room, closing the door after she was completely in.
Anyway, that was a few hours ago. Sakura wiped the tears from her cheeks, then stood up. The rain had slowed down. The wind had died down some. Sakura looked away from the window. Maybe I should find something to do here besides crying over the memories of my old home. Sakura decided.
And with that, Sakura strapped on her open-toed shoes, then headed for the door. As Sakura was turning the knob, a memory flashed into her mind. And that memory made her heart pang. Sakura let go of the door knob and stood there, thinking.
Sakura was thinking of pass moments. Events that she went though recently. All the words she had heard rang loudly in her eyes. Faces appeared in her eyes. Sakura's eyes suddenly became moist again. Sakura shutted her eyes and tried her best to tune out the memories. But she couldn't.
Tears streamed down her face as she place her hands on her ears. She fell onto her knees. Sakura couldn't bear it any longer. She wish that it would stop. She wanted it all to go away. Go away and never to return to haunt her. Tears continued to fall from her eyes. After a minute or so, the flashbacks ended.
Sakura opened her eyes and took her hands off her ears. She looked around the room before standing up. Sakura wiped the tears off her face. "Oh mind, what have I done?" She said. "The man that I was searching for. The man I had dreamed of my whole life i-is... gone. On a mission. And I didn't really show him enough respect when he was here." Sakura said in realization.
Sakura sighed loudly. "Hopefully he'll return. I really need to apologize to him. Show him that I do care. After all, he is the closer person I have to Sasuke." Sakura cleared her throat, then headed out the room. By the time Sakura was outside, the rain had completely stopped. But clouds still covered the sky. The clouds hovered by as Sakura made her way through the village...
Foot note: Did Sakura really come to realization that Itachi likes her? Or is this some part of a plan of hers? Heh. I know, this chapter may be boring but I don't really have inspiration right now. Hopefully I can get some soon. So for now I declared this chapter a filler. I hope you like this and will continue to read the fanfiction. For now, this is ladyweasel signing out.
