A/N: Hey, so I started writing chaps for this story again. I got inspired by who knows what. There's a lot of dialogue along with playwriting in this. There's page breaks yadda yadda yadda. I hope you enjoy it. Read & Review.
The room was dim. Candle lights kept the room from being pitch black. The room was still trippy. The vervain dosage was equivalent to that of a heroin user. Her body was bruised and covered in aches. Getting up seemed almost impossible; this was true seeing that Caroline was strapped by the wrists, the ankles, and the waist to the wall. Each cuff was slathered with vervain. It was obvious that someone did not want her to escape.
A girl no more than 16 appeared from the shadows. Her hair was brown, and her dress was frilly and white. She looked as if she had just come from a debutante ball or was competing to be a Southern Belle. Notably, her eyes furrowed. She was angry not at Caroline, but at the world because she wanted so much more than just this. It was not the life she had chosen, but the life that had chosen her; she would never be free.
"Who are you?" Caroline asked while breathing heavily.
Davina replied, "My name is unimportant. More importantly, why did you come here?"
"I was actually knocked unconscious and brought here."
Caroline soon felt her throat being constricted. Her air passage way was being cut off.
Davina asked again, "Why did you come to New Orleans?"
Caroline squeezed out, "I'm meeting a friend." Her stomach sunk. "Friend," she thought. As more time passed, she really did start wonder why did she come to New Orleans in the first place. It was now all too confusing and way too much of a blur. Was she really just meeting a friend? But then why did she stay as long as she did? Caroline had no clue.
"Who's your friend?" Davina let go of cutting of Caroline's air supply. She walked up to Caroline knowing that Caroline could not touch her, and if she did, it would be her demise.
Caroline couldn't say Klaus, so she said the only other name she knew in this town. "I'm here to see Marcel."
Davina gave a confused look, and then she smiled. Soon, she laughed, "Marcel, you say?" She continued, "Who do you think brought you here?"
The doors of the room busted open. Out came Marcel stoic and composed.
"Well, I see you got acquainted with our guest," Marcel said to Davina.
Davina replied, "Yes, although she says that she is here to meet you." Marcel glanced at Caroline. "She even says that you guys are friends." Davina began to giggle.
"Oh really," Marcel smiled.
Sophie knocked on Klaus's door. Hayley answered, "Why are you here so early in the morning?"
"Because Klaus wanted to meet at this time," Sophie responded.
Hayley muttered, "It's already hard enough to be carrying a child."
Klaus was in the eat-in-kitchen reading a note that had been left at his doorsteps. It read, "When you mess with me, I'll show you hell." Klaus had been initially confused by the message, but then he realized that Caroline's car was still parked not too far outside. She, however, was nowhere to be found.
Sophie walked in, "Why did you want to meet with me?"
"You! What did you do?!" Klaus was angered.
Sophie confusedly replied, "What do you mean what did I do?"
Klaus grabbed Sophie by the throat suspending her in the air, "You told Marcel!"
Sophie gasped, "I did not tell him anything."
Hayley walked into the room and immediately dropped her phone. "Stop!" she yelled pulling Klaus's arm from grabbing Sophie's neck.
Elijah came in and stood in front of Klaus, "Stop, brother!"
Klaus's eyes calmed down. They went from yellow back to blue. "They have her."
"Well, that explains why her car hasn't moved," Elijah said.
Klaus glared at Elijah, "You knew."
"More like suspected," Elijah said.
Sophie coughed, "Oh, that blonde girl from yesterday."
Hayley began to tune out of the conversation. She cared little about Caroline especially since right now she was breaking Tyler's heart. Tyler and she were friends even through the misunderstanding that everyone had about them while she was in Mystic Falls. She didn't want Caroline to die for Tyler's sake, but otherwise this just seemed more like an inconvenience.
"Yes, her," Klaus confirmed.
Elijah asked, "What do you plan to do?"
"Isn't that interesting, here I thought your friend was Klaus," Marcel said.
Caroline laughed, "Klaus, where did you hear that from?"
"More like saw. We don't get passerbys that often, so it is one of men's job to figure who someone is." Marcel said. "One of them saw you walk from here into Klaus's home."
Caroline said, "Okay, are passerbys not allowed to see their friends?"
"Anyone else, sure, him, no!" Marcel yelled.
Caroline felt it. She felt like that this was the end. There was nowhere to go from here. Her arms were bolted, and no one knew where she was. Caroline could feel that she was going to die.
Marcel looked at Davina, "Search her mind to see what she knows. Savage any info that she might have on Klaus. Afterwards get rid of her."
Davina nodded.
Caroline pulled onto the shackles, the vervain seeped deeper into her skin. She let out a painful moan. She roughhoused with it, but nothing worked. Caroline relaxed for the pain to heal.
"We're going to have to get her," Klaus proclaimed.
Sophie reminded, "I would go, but I don't have any powers. Plus, Davina will be there."
"Davina?" Elijah asked.
Sophie answered, "Davina is the only witch in this town who has her powers. She is also the strongest witch because she has absorbed all of the magic of this town."
Elijah questioned, "How did that happen?"
Sophie replied, "The Awakening never occurred."
"The Awakening?" Klaus asked.
Sophie said, "It is a ceremony that allows the magic to bestowed generation to generation, but because of an incident that occurred, it did not happen last year."
"Why?"
Sophie eyes shifted; she let out a heavy sigh, "Because Davina did not perform sacrifice"
"Sacrifice!" Hayley yelled.
Sophie said, "The girls involved lives are sacrificed for the cause. My sister was chosen as well and presumed to her death."
"And how did Marcel end up possessing such a powerful witch?" Klaus asked.
Sophie eyes then closed, "Becauseā¦he saved her."
Klaus sighed not because he was not confident in his own abilities, but because this was now harder than he had hoped. This would be considered an attack. "Elijah, you and I will go."
"Yes, brother."
