I looked at my surroundings trying to figure out what can we use to kill these things.
I noticed a table behind us, and made a dash towards it.
"Amy! Where are you going?" Asked Santiago as he dodged one of those things.
"Hold them off!" I said as I knocked everything from the table.
I took a step back and kicked my leg downwards towards the table. The table couldn't help it but break itself in half.
So much for a five star, huh?
I broke the rest of the table. Making sharp like objects with the legs.
I noticed that the guys couldn't keep dodging especially Santiago since he had three.
I began to run towards them and picked up one of the sharp legs and stabbed a dead in the head.
Pulling it out, the creature fell onto the floor. I couldn't help but cringe in disgust. Taking a step back I dropped the sharpened object, and noticed Santiago give me a grateful look before he snapped the neck of one.
Two down, three to go.
I handed a a stake at Santiago as he went away somewhere far with his dead opponent.
"Fernando!" I called his name, "Bring them over here. Go unlock the door. Hurry!"
His ear only twitched slightly knowing not to look back while facing his opponent. Quickly he kicked the two dead back while he made a dash towards us.
I patted him in the back as he passes. I focused at the two running creatures coming at me while grabbing two of the stakes and jabbing it on their heads. Bringing one of them forward I swung my leg hitting the back part of his head, which pinned its body onto the carpet.
My attention focused onto the other creature, I pushed the stake further in until it penetrated onto the back of his head. The dead mobian continued to reach out for me slightly.
Taking off the stake from the zombies head, he dropped dead.
I turned around when I felt something grab my ankle making me drop onto the floor with a 'THUD.'
I held onto my face in slightly pain, when I noticed the dead mobian that had a hole through its forehead coming at me.
How is this thing not dead?!
I laid on my back and used my elbows to try to put some space between us, but it was no use. He still held on to my ankle like his life depended on it, which it sort of does since I am his meal.
I tried to find for any sort of sharp object, but something caught my eye.
My four inch heels.
Swiftly, I brought my free leg, used my heel and stabbed the zombie on one of its eyes.
He shrieked in pain, but continue his assault on me. The half dead mobian dropped his head low ready to bite my ankle when I kicked his head upwards, twisting it at an odd angle.
I scurried onto my feet and saw the blood on my heels.
"And these were my favorite pair..." I muttered while glaring at the dead creature.
I saw Santiago making his way over to me with a bit of blood on his white shirt. "You okay?" He asked.
I nodded. "I'm fine. Let's go see if Fernando is done."
He nodded and made his way towards my hotel room door where Fernando stood with the door open.
I smiled at him. "Now I can shower..." I said.
"Yeah, yeah. You go do that. I'll go make sure the stairs doors is jammed. Wait here." Said Fernando.
"I'll join you for precaution." Said Santiago as he followed Fernando.
I smiled at the duo before going inside and taking off my ruined heels with my semi-ripped dress along with the satchel that the commander gave me.
Going to my luggage, I pulled out a pair of black leggings and a light blue, v-neck, long sleeved shirt with my undergarments.
Making my way towards the bathroom when I see the guys come in, "I'll shower real quick. I think I have an extra pair of t-shirts or something."
They both nodded gratefully before I went into the shower. Taking off what I had left on, and jumping into the warm water.
I felt my tensed muscles relax and I couldn't help but feel sorrow. My comrades that I failed to protect are most likely dead or one of them, and the commander was a father to me when I couldn't find mine.
Not only that but the fact that I am now in charge of the base deeming me as the new commander of the Marine Base.
"Oh my god." I whispered to myself.
I took a step back and realized what this meant. I can't take the position! I don't have the training requirement, or the experience. I just can't.
I jumped when I felt the water go cold, and got out of the sower with a towel wrapped around my body. Walking towards the sink, I grabbed my undergarments and put them on.
"Amy."
My ears perked up and I responded back, "Yes?"
"Change quickly, you need to see this." He said in an urgency.
"Alright. Hang on. I am almost done."
Quickly, I grabbed the pair of leggings and shirt putting them on. Opening the door, I saw both males near the TV.
'During the past few months there had been a infectious disease going on. Something that the military and government hid from public ears. We do not have a name for this disease, but we do have records showing its symptoms and procedures.
The origin of this disease is unknown, but we do know one thing. Do not make contact with the people affected by it. It seems that the disease is transferred by fluids or a bite.
If you are bitten, then you'll start to feel a fever coming on. Followed by a pounding headache, coughing, and aggressive behavior. Once these symptoms come into play it will only get worse, they'll begin to attack anything that moves and they seem to crave human/Mobian flesh. To survive, you must decapitate the head, I repeat remove the head or destroy it. It will successfully kill them.
Do not hesitate to kill them. They were once your love ones, but not anymore they are unreasonable killers now and you'll be next if you don't kill them off.
By scientific research, these creatures seem to hunt down by sound and sight. If you were to stay still, they would attack you, so you best not make sound and avoid being seen.
So far, fifteen cities have been hit and 13 of those have been wiped out by those creatures. Please if you are watching this get to the Station Square there is a new built in wall, that was made to keep these things out.-
'
The female cat stops talking and hold onto her ear as she receives a message.
'Oh my! We have to leave, now?!'
I closed my eyes as I heard a bunch of screams and the channel go out. I sighed and laid on the bed trying to collect the new information gathered.
"You know of what this reminds me of?" Asked Santiago.
Opening my eyes, I stared at him and asked, "What does it remind you of?"
"Zombies." He said casually, "You know like that movie Zombieland?"
"Now that you mention it...it really does sound like it and literally looks like it." Said Fernando.
"So, we are going to actually put those movies into play." I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"It'll be hella of awesome if we do!" Said Santiago with a grin.
I couldn't help but crack a smile at his antics. At the most worst situations he's cracking a joke. I'll admit it would be awesome if we do.
Going into that roller coaster with a shotgun, and shooting zombies as you go. That's a dream I'll have to accomplish soon.
"Alright, boys. Tomorrow we have a long day ahead of us. Get showering, and then to bed." I ordered and received a 'yes ma'am' from the duo before they raced off into the bathroom.
I smiled at them and went to my black luggage to pull out those shirts and surprisingly I found some male clothes in my bag. Why? I don't know. I don't remember placing in there.
I grabbed both outfits and placed them on the bathroom sink before walking out. I noticed the door and decided to barricade it a bit. I don't want to take any risks.
I grabbed a small dresser and pushed it in front of the door. Smiling in satisfaction, I fixed the couch for the guys. Grabbing the extra pillows from the bed and placing them on the couch with an extra blanket that came with pull out bed.
I yawned. I am exhausted both physically and mentally. A nice cup of wine would do me fine. However, the room service here isn't available...
I laid on my bed about to drift off to sleep when the boys came out with their perspective clothes on, and went to the couch.
"Goodnight Amy." They said unison.
"Goodnight." Was the last thing I said before I drifted off.
The next morning, I woke up early as a jaybird, it was six in the morning. Looking at my surroundings, I noticed the hedgehog mobians on the couch sound asleep.
What are they...
Soon, the events from yesterday came flowing back to me. I laid back down and took a deep breath in.
Zombies, huh? Well, they have a whole load of shit coming their way.
I stood up from my bed and walked towards the window. Peering outside, I was horrified. There was blood everywhere, bodies everywhere, and zombies everywhere.
Taking a deep breath in, I turned my gaze away from the scenery. I knew we couldn't stay here any longer. I looked through the room before spotting the bags that I made Santiago and Fernando carry.
Picking them up, I placed them on my bed and unzip them. It wasn't much but a couple of bulletproof vests and a few guns along with their perspective ammo. The other bag was an emergency bag, if I was ever called on a mission. The bag contained food, clothes, maps, a couple of gadgets, and my Marine ID with a few other stuff I'd like to keep down the low.
I laid out the guns along with their ammo, and making sure we had enough before stopping at Diamond city for more. We could go to my place, I have a few in there unless someone broke in. However, I highly doubt it. But, if they tried I give it to them.
"Amy?" Said someone clearly waking up.
I turned around to see Fernando waking up and moving away from Santiago carefully.
"Morning to you too sunshine." I said.
Fernando just rolled his eyes. "Yes, morning to you too. What are you doing up so early?"
"I am an early riser." I said with an obvious tone.
"Clearly. What's up with all the arms?"
"We can't stay here for long. This place is already knocked up, and that door is the only thing standing between them and us."
"Where will we go?" He asked.
"My place. However, it'd have to be soon. I have a few supplies that could really help us throughout this whole thing before heading to the base." I stated.
"I see. We'll whenever you are ready we'll be going then." Said Fernando with a grin.
I nodded. "Wake up Santiago, please?"
Fernando nodded and when to wake up his partner up. I heard a muffled voice telling him to leave him the hell alone, but Fernando loves messing with Santiago.
With a groan, Fernando grabbed a pillow and smacked Santiago in the face softly before getting irritated and smacking him hard.
Santiago sprang up with his eyes closed and hit Fernando square in the jaw with a pillow making him tumble backwards. I held back my laughter as I see Santiago go back to sleep like nothing ever happened.
Fernando just stared at his partner in astonishment. Either by his strength or the fact he just went to sleep right after that. But, he wasn't letting Santiago have the last laugh, he stood up and walked towards the bathroom.
I heard the water running and my face turned into an evil grin. This should be interesting .
Fernando comes with a small bucket filled up to half ways with water and goes over to Santiago's resting body.
Fernando goes behind the couch and pours the water on Santiago's face. He suddenly shoots up gasping for air. I burst out laughing.
"You dumb bitch!" Shouted Santiago at Fernando.
"Well this dumb bitch, wanted your fine ass to be up. We got things to do. Chop-chop!" Said Fernando with a clap of his hands.
Santiago rolled his eyes before getting up from the wet bed. "Where are we going?" He asked while rubbing his eyes.
"Home." I said while casually putting the safety trigger into one of the hand guns.
"Haven't you heard that it's been spreading? As of now, Diamond City could've been hit already. Everything is gone!" He said in a sad tone.
"Santiago, I know for a fact my home hasn't been touched it's on the outskirts of Diamond City. It couldn't have been touched just yet. We can make it, if we take my car. It has enough gas to take us back and make a trip Station Square." I informed him, trying to be positive.
Santiago stood quietly before speaking. "What if Station Square gets hit.?"
Amy stood there not knowing what to say because she was positive that they'd be safe over there. But, now that Santiago mention it, there's that chance of that what if. The could always live on their own and survive. But, I am sure that the boys won't want that. They'd want something solid.
"We'll figure it out when we get there." I said
"Alright, now let's get-" Fernando was cut off by a pounding on the door muffled by a groan.
"I wonder who that is." I asked to myself before Fernando stopped me by grabbing my shoulder.
"Last night, I barricaded the stairs doors, the elevators we blocked them off with furniture. Nobody should be able to get up to this level..." Said Fernando choosing his words carefully.
I froze and turned to him. "If you blocked everything...Then, who the hell is at the door-"
I was cut off when a loud banging was heard at the door, startled us.
We looked at each other before we started putting on our shoes, and grabbing our weapons.
I grabbed a belt gun holster. I buckled it around my waist, before I safely strapped them on both my legs (like the one from Lara Croft: Tomb Raiders). Swiftly, I grabbed two identical handguns and placed them in their perspective pouches.
The last four guns were both silencers and a sniper, which Santiago took.
"Ames, have the tactical backpack with you?" Fernando said in a hurry.
"On the bed, it's packed." I said before grabbing a small backpack, which was small enough to carry enough ammunition for my handguns and a few other stuff.
Just as we finished grabbing what we needed the door bust down.
Two zombies had knocked the door down and we're slowly getting up.
I whispered to them, "Don't move. Probably they can't see us unless we make noise or move." I was trying to test these theories I had with them. To be able to see what we can gather information on for later references.
We stayed silent and unmoving as we watched the zombies get up slowly.
They lack speed.
The zombies got up and looked around trying to spot any living forms. They got up.
So far so good.
I motioned the guys silently to move quietly towards the door less wall. Every time the zombies would faced away from us, we would move across the room.
We continued to maneuver, however, as the boys get out, I slowly follow. But, only paying attention t the zombies I fail to notice a small broken glass.
Crunch!
The zombies turned around quickly, stared in our direction and began staggering/walking towards us.
We began to run like we have hell-hounds on our ass. You know when they say, "whatever you do, don't t look back"? Yeah, well I wish I would've listen, but curiosity killed the cat.
These things were a hell a lot faster than I thought. "Pick up the pace boys!"
I suddenly remember the laundry drop and began to push myself harder in front of the duo. I made a left turn and opened the small shuttle.
Motion them to go in quickly, silently they obeyed as I followed along. I closed the shuttle before they turned the corner, and slide down.
Once I was reaching the bottom I noticed there's a drop that fell into a big basket used to collect towels. Getting myself ready, as I was closing on the fall, I shifted my body to where I fell on my back knowing the towels were going to softened my fall.
So it did.
I felt someone tilt over the basket, and I fell onto the floor, groaning. Looking up, I realized it was Fernando and Santiago. "What was that for?" I growled out.
"We need to move, there's a lot of ruckus above us." Said Santiago as I noticed his ear twitch slightly as he picked up more noise further away. "The upper levels have been touched by now since night time. We need to get out of here."
"How? We do not know the layout of this building. Heck, I don't know where the cafeteria is." Said Fernando.
I was to busy looking around the room we were currently on. "There's no windows, or any sort of sunlight in here. I'd say we are underground, maybe, the basement."
"That's true. There's a couple of folded towels along with the scent of a lavender like smell in the air. Maybe, the detergent." Said Fernando as he inspected the room.
"We're in the washroom, then." I said and walked towards a huge stack of towels before tilting my head. I knocked down the whole stack of towels over one by one.
"Amy, what are you doing?" Asked one of my companions, but I payed no attention to him.
Continuing the knocking down of the towels, I spotted it. Soon, all of the towels were on the floor, I climbed on the table, ripping the big sheet of paper off the floor, and goes over to my fellow Marines. "Every building has a layout of their structure." I informed it.
"How, did you know where it was, though?" Asked the both boys incredulously.
"Well, I guessed." I said sheepishly. I began to move around and layout the map. All of us seemed to scan the map, trying to find where we were. Seeing a gray hedgehog arm point at the very bottom floor labeled 'WASHROOM' on it. "We were right. So, according to this map we are at least two halls away from the entrance, which should lead onto a staircase. Then we continue walking, and take a right, pass a fountain, and to the left there should a be a side exit." Said Fernando in a very smart tone.
"But, we need to go where my car is, which is on the East side of the building, that's the west side." I told Fernando without looking at him.
"Then we are going to have to go through across the whole lobby. It won't be busy with last night intrusion these things...have...have taken over this building and most likely the city." Said Fernando looking worried.
"I am sure we will make it. With all of our weapons and training, we can make it. Especially, with our teamwork, with our friendship. We can do this as long as we have each others back. We'll make it. I'll make sure of it." I said with confidence. I knew our teamwork better than anyone out there. We have been recruited for one of the most toughest missions, ever. We've pulled through with injuries, yeah, but never fatal injuries or death. Our chemistry is truly unique, and I believe that with this we can live through these catastrophe. I know it, and I'll make sure of it. Heck, I'd let them bite me just to give them time.
"Right. The same process to get out of here is the same except of taking that beginning right, we take a left, which is going to lead us into the kitchen. Grab a quick bite, and then get out through the northwest door, this will bring us to the cafeteria. Now, here's the part where I told you we are at higher risks. Once, we are in the cafeteria we are to move into lobby, and that lobby is huge which does not work in our favor since is at the entrance, which could be busted making it easier for them to come in. As we go through, straight ahead of us will be a dead end hallway, we go in-" Fernando was abruptly interrupted.
"Why the hell would we go into a dead end hallway?" Asked Santiago.
"Would you let me finish? I was getting to that." The green hedgehog said before pointing at where he left off, "On the right side of that hall, will be an emergency door, which would lead us to were your car is."
"That emergency door, will make a lot of noise, though. It will only draw more in before we can make it to that car. Is there another way?" I asked him.
Fernando looked at the map with a furrowed eyebrows. "Yes, instead of going into that we would take another right down the main hallway before going into the 240...and 285 hallway, by the end of that there's a door on the left. It has a staircase, but before getting on the staircase there is a side door." Said Fernando before looking at us.
"It does sound a lot more complicated, but we can pull it off." Said Santiago as he stared at the map.
"Not complicated, but troublesome, yes." Said Fernando shifting his gaze to me as if asking for approval.
"Your taking lead into this operation, Fernando. Your the leader. Do what you think is right." I said at him with a nod.
"Yes, ma'am, yes!" He said in a salute with his right arm horizontal on his forehead, straight posture and his left arm besides him.
I couldn't help, but feel pride at my friends. I wish we would've meet a lot sooner, it would've made my whole life a lot easier. Taking a breath in and put on my game on face, "Lead us, Warrant Officer." I said saluting him back.
We maneuvered the way he had said taking the two hallways that leads to a staircase and quietly climbed them up. I kept behind the boys leading them take charge and I knew they will be excellent leaders, soon. Softly, I crept into the cafeteria with the duo, and saw its cleanliness. "How odd..."
"Did they get out when they heard the news from last night?" Asked Santiago looking at a grilled sandwiched, and taking a bite. "Still, fresh..." He said moaning in delight, "There's more, a bit cold but good nevertheless."
I went up to it, and touched it. A couple minutes cold, I thought as I narrowed my eyes but I grabbed one for myself, wrapped three of those for later and put them in my bag before shaking my head. "Can't stay, let's go." I said as I continued towards the northwest door.
I checked through the circular window to see if the coast was clear and luck us, it was. "Clear." I said before taking a step back and letting the guys go first.
Swiftly, we maneuver through the crowds of tables and chairs, I didn't spot any zombies anywhere, but shook it off and continued my walk. I crouched next to the lobbies to see the lobby empty, but windows were shattered signaling us that they came in through the window instead of through the damn door. Fernando with his hands gave us numbers, I got a three, saying that I was going last.
I nodded and watched as Fernando silently but quickly moved around without being caught by those things. Once, he his behind a wall he called the next one, Santiago. Before I knew it, Santiago already was at the other side signalling me for to come over. I slowly got up from my crouching position, stopping half way, and sticking my head looking left and right making sure the coast was clear. Once, I felt it was good to go, I walked quickly to a pillar that was in the middle of the room before I saw something from the corner of my eye.
Both of the boys were waving their hands furiously signalling me something, I was confused at their hand gestures. That's when I noticed Santiago's mimicry, it was vaguely familiar, and when he began to do the limping. Instantly, I recognized it.
Shit, I mentally cursed.
Then, Santiago and Fernando did another scene. And my eyes widen when I realized it was coming my way. I really have bad luck, I thought.
I could heard its heavy footsteps and concentrated my sense and heard how a step took a lot longer meaning he was turning, I breathed in and slowly started switching to the other side trying to avoid its gaze. And kept moving as it didn't see me there, I sighed when it walked away.
Quickly, I decided to just ran towards the boy saving us more time. "That was a close call, Ames."
I nodded. "Too close, it won't happen again. I wasn't aware of my surroundings." I explained to Fernando before he shook his head, "I didn't see it either. Santiago was the one that picked it up."
I smiled at Santiago before he pulled me into a hug. I quickly responded by wrapping my arms around him, "I'm not losing you, Bubblegum. Not in my watch." He mumbled in my hair.
I nodded at him before we pulled away and continuing the small expedition we were on. Soon, we came to the hallway and saw the carpet stained in blood. "Keep your eyes open." As Fernando before walking ahead of us.
Soon, Santiago and I followed his head keeping my hands near were my guns were at. We reached at the end of the hallway, opened the door and pushed the door opened.
BANG! BANG!
We froze on our steps looking back at the noise is coming from. The door was slightly opened letting us hear the distinctive noises.
"They are survivors." I said looking at the boys with a hopeful look.
"Amy, we need to get going-"
" We can't just let them die, Fernando! We protect this country along with its people! That's what we oath for, and now we are breaking that oath, now?!" Said Santiago, sticking up for me.
Fernando sighed, "Go. I'll get the car. Your not back within the next ten minutes, I'll come for you two."
I shook my head, "No, I am going alone. Here." I said handing him the car keys, "We only need one person, no need to risk more." I reasoned.
"What if there's more than what you can take?" Said Santiago, concerned.
I smirked. "Who was the one who took down the base in Iraq?"
"You." They said in unison.
"And the one in Russia?"
"Again, you."
"And the one in-"
"Okay! We get it! Your capable enough to handle your own fights." Said Fernando putting his hands up in the air, giving up.
I smiled innocently at them. "i'll be back with the survivors." I said before walking back into the halfway and running towards the ruckus. I noticed how some wondering zombies were outside not able to come in.
I frowned. How's that possible?
That's when I noticed glowing turquoise outline on the windows. NO way. There's only one person I know that knows that trick. I thought to myself.
I noticed a few tables and quickly began to stack them on the window as a precaution. Then, I made my way towards what sounded like the cafeteria. Turning the corner I saw a small group of 10-12 zombies trying to get someone, but then I noticed how they just ended up flying off.
It's really you. I thought to myself, but knowing better than using the small amount of ammunition I had. Looking around me to see if I could use anything as a weapon, then I saw a wooden chair. I couldn't help but smirk.
Tearing and breaking a chair I had four stakes and ran over to the back of the group. I stopped though when I heard a gunshot of a shotgun, I believe.
"These things just won't quit!" Screamed a voice.
"When you have a body like mine, you tend to have a lot of followers." Said a cocky voice.
"You mean dead followers?" Retorted a deep voice.
"That's just cruel, Mr. Shadow." Said an all too familiar voice to me.
Cream is here? I thought to myself in panic.
Faster than I can say go, I jabbed two stakes through two zombies in the head, dropping dead. I retracted them and used them one more time on another two. Once, I realized the sticking brains into them, decided to use the other ones and continuing my slaughtering.
I noticed how the zombies started dying down. A zombie stood behind me blocking me from everyone's view soon it flew off. I may or may not been covered in bloods on my arms making me look like some serious killer.
That's when I saw them and I couldn't help, but let the small gasp get out of my mouth. The ebony hedgehog seems to have heard it when he turned around. He stared at me with those lifeless ruby eyes, scanning me from any bites and then they meet my own eyes.
Recognition flooded in his eyes and spoke in a whisper, "Rose?"
"What was that Shadow?" Said a silver looking hedgehog and turning around meeting me, "Amy?" He said, instantly recognizing me.
Though, it should be impossible. I don't look nothing like that broken little girl. But, before I could answer a little cream looking bunny girl turned around cautiously as she stood on a table. I tried forming words in my mouth, but I just couldn't. It was like my vocals had been taken from me. I wasn't ready to meet them, not yet, at least.
The two male hedgehogs got closer to me, probably thinking if I am real, or if it's just a dream.
But, I lost my eye contact when I spotted something dark. My eyes widen when a zombie was getting up and getting ready to pounce on the defenseless bunny. Before anyone could question what I was doing I sprinted towards Cream.
As I got closer, I noticed the zombie moving on the slightest. I pushed my legs a bit more, and dove onto the girl. Swiftly, I rotated her so we were in a spooning position just before we crashed onto the floor. We rolled a bit before my head came into contact with a hard surface.
I groaned when I felt my head throbbing in pain.
"Cream!" Said Silver.
I felt Cream get out of my hands and go towards what I assumed Silver. I sat up, leaned on the counter and saw the dead zombie with its head torn out of his body.
I saw the ebony hedgehog walk towards me and crouched near me. He tilted my head to the side, examining it and grunted."Pretty brave, Rose."
I just stared at him with narrowed eyes before getting up and dusted myself. Removing my gaze from the ebony hedgehog, I saw Silver holding Cream as they stared at me.
"Ms. Amy!" She said getting out of Silver's grasp onto mine. Well, held onto my waist, "Cream." I said quietly testing her name after four years.
"Your back, your back! And, and you saved me! Thank you!" She said excited to see, but only I could do was stare at the bundle of joy. "Your welcome." I said taking a small step back.
Cream let go of me, "You don't know how worried we were. We searched everywhere for you, even Mr. Shadow!" She informed me.
My eyes widen only a small fraction and my gaze fell on Silver then on the ebony hedgehog. He's avoiding me, I thought when I only saw his back. Everyone? Impossible. I was only four hours away. They would've found me. I continued to talk to myself, mentally.
"Why did you leave, Ms. Amy?" Asked Cream with her big brown chocolate eyes, and I couldn't help but twitch my small lips upwards.
"Cream, that's not polite. You just don't ask someone that, at least not without warning them." Said Silver.
"OH! I am sorry, Ms. Amy! Please forgive me." She said pulling her ears back, in apology.
"No harm done...Cream." I said quietly only for her ears to hear. She smiled at me broadly and hugged me, again. This time I hugged her back."You've grown up to a beautiful young lady." I said, smiling.
"You smiled!" Se said excitedly while pointing at my smile.
I could only look at her in confusion. Not really understanding what she meant by "You smiled." I got my response before I could even ask, "Ever since you came, you haven't smiled. You've been tense and your eyes are always looking around for anything to pop out of nowhere."
"She's right." Said Silver looking at me with a small smile adorn on his face. His yellow eyes piercing into mind.
I nodded in understanding before looking back at the window, where I had stacked tables, and realized that my ten minutes were almost up. "C'mon." I said walking away.
I heard three distinctive footsteps behind me. I continued the way I had came, and saw the long hallway.
"Where are we going, Ms. Amy?" Cream asked looking slightly upwards at me.
"Out." Was the only thing I said.
These one word phrases are making me sound like Shadow, I thought with a snicker.
"Out where?" Asked Silver.
"Out of the city. I have two other survivors with me and we are headed towards Diamond City." I said briefly.
"That's the opposite way of Station Square, though." Pointed out Silver.
"I know." I said noticing we were close to the exit.
"Then why go the opposite direction?"
I didn't answer immediately contemplating if I should tell them or not. What the heck! They're bound to find out once we start shooting these things. "I have been living there for the past four years. I have a few stuff that might help us on the journey just in case." I said briefly.
"Doing what?" Asked Silver.
I ignored his questioned and open the door to the left before walking towards the other door exiting. Scanning over the parking area, looking for my baby, until I spotted it with the boys inside it. Once, I came into view they got out of the car, walking towards me.
"Amy." Said two voices in relief.
I nodded at the boys. "Guys, these are the survivors." I said introducing them not wanting to give out their names.
The boys looked over at the three figures behind me. "Hey, name's Santiago, and this is Fernando. I am pretty sure, Amy has introduced herself to you. If not, that's Amelia Rose, we call her Amy."
I cursed mentally, They don't know my real name, you moron!
"
Amelia I thought it was just Amy Rose since that's what she told us when we meet nine years ago..." Said Silver looking at me suspiciously.
I gulped. Crap. he's onto me.
"Amy you know them.?" Asked a serious looking Santiago, which let me tell you, it's never a good thing!
"Maybe?" Then there's that look from Santiago, "Yes! I told you. This is the group I was in before I moved to D.C. Can we talk about this later? We need to go, we are burning daylight, gentleman...and child." I said before walking towards the driver's side.
"Yes we are indeed talking about this, Amelia LYNN Rose," Said Santiago with a stern voice as he got in the backseat with Shadow, Silver and Cream on his lap. Fernando took my passenger side, and I started the car.
I put it on reverse and backed out of the parking spot. Then, switching to gear I began to drive.
"So, Amelia..."
Oh Lord, this is going to be a long ride home. I thought to myself.
