Since the story has finally gotten into the school year, I will be posting more often, because I have a lot more ideas. I will try to get at least one more chapter published this week after this one, because my head is practically exploding with ideas and I REALLY want to publish them.
Disclaimer: Okay, the only things I own are: My OC's, the plot, my account, this computer, and the "OKAY? OKAY." earrings I'm wearing
Cass: WHAT?! YOU HAVE "OKAY? OKAY." EARRINGS?! NO FAIR!
Me: I also have stickers that I got for free because I wore them to Talking Leaves.
James: What? Leaves don't talk.*
Me: It's a muggle bookstore.
Cass: And it's in America. I went there once when I was visiting family in the Elmwood Village.
Me: YOU HAVE FAMILY IN THE ELMWOOD VILLAGE?!
Carter: Yeah. But can we start the chapter now? You have ideas, remember?
Me: Oh, yeah.
Cass POV
I had to go down to breakfast partly because I was really hungry, and partly because I was getting my schedule then.
As I got dressed and headed toward the Great Hall, I realized something. I had been upset last night for a fairly ridiculous reason. Carter and I would still see each other in the classes we had together, and maybe we could sit next to each other. We could still hang out. Besides, maybe it was time for me to be a little more independent. I didn't want to be known as the girl who always depends on her twin brother.
I walked into the Great Hall and towards the Hufflepuff house table. I spotted the girl I sat next to yesterday sitting all alone. That didn't make any sense. She was really nice to me the day before, so how did she have no friends? I decided not to ask. I did sit next to her though.
"Hi," I said, getting her attention. "If I remember correctly, you were nice yesterday and I pretty much ignored you. I'm sorry about that. I was pretty upset that my brother and I had gotten into different houses."
"Don't worry about it," she replied. "Your name is Cassondra, right?"
"Yeah, but call me Cass. I prefer that."
"I get it. I kind of like it better too. I'm Melody."
"It's nice to meet you. What year are you in?"
"Second."
"Cool. Are first year classes hard?"
"No, but they're usually easier for people who grew up around magic."
"Oh. My parents are muggles."
"Don't worry. You'll catch on soon enough. But if you've read the textbooks, you probably aren't behind at all. It really depends on who you're comparing yourself to."
"Okay, good. I read the textbooks a bunch of times. I don't want anyone to underestimate me just because I didn't know about magic until the beginning of this summer."
Melody grinned. "Good. Oh, look, there's Professor Solum with the schedules. She's the head of our house."
I had nine classes with Carter each week. It was Monday (A/N: I Googled a September 2019 calendar. The 2nd is a Monday) so I had one class with him.
Carter POV
It turned out that neither Lucieta nor Scorpius was in my year. Lucieta was in her second, and Scorpius was in his third. Oh, well.
I looked at my schedule and sighed. I had classes all over the building. I knew I was going to get lost. No one else was going to help me that was for sure. I headed out of the Great Hall to my first class, charms.
So, what do you guys think?
Some questions you can answer in reviews if you want to (they're only ideas):
Have you ever been to Talking Leaves?
Have you read TFIOS? If you have, have you seen the movie? If you have, is it good (I haven't seen it yet)?
What classes do you want me to write about?
PLEASE ANSWER THIS ONE- A or B? (I don't want to reveal what the question actually is. I don't believe in spoilers, and that would reveal too much)
One last question: I have another story idea, should I write it or wait until this one is finished?
*I've decided to allow anyone in my disclaimers (Don't tell James though. Maybe he'll stop if he doesn't know)
James: I heard that!
Me: dam it**
**NOT a typo! If you've read the PJO series or at least The Titan's Curse (Who has?), you would understand.
