AN: I decided to expand the chapters and the explanation of the situation by adding another Point of View. The POV will switch occasionally, no worries.

IMPORTANT NOTE: So, I caused myself to go into a deep writers block session for a stage of almost 3 years, even by writing this story as I started it out. When I started it, it seemed like a good idea, but now, looking back on it, the back story is really messy. The first few chapters will be revised/edited and a few things from the beginning are being taken out. But since I'm trying to keep this story moving, I'll still post chapters even as I'm removing a few things from the earlier chapters. But, for a general head's up—just always check before you read on, just to avoid too much confusion. I'm sorry for the mess!

*2015 Changes/Revisions that will be applied*: Instead of Bella's mom being Melinda, I'm having Bella take the place of Melinda. & Instead of Bella being the "great-niece", she'll just be Prue, Phoebe, and Paige's niece. **(Edited, 12/30/2015)**Chris was removed to fit the revisions.

Again, I just have to do some minor revisions in the first few chapters, especially the Prologue chapter.

But I'm hoping that you all keep the change plans in mind as you read this chapter. I feel bad for having made my readers wait for me to update. But I really do hope you enjoy this chapter, and overall the story in general!

This Story IS Officially Under Minor Revision!

6. The Wait (EDITED/REVISED)

Phoebe

I couldn't hold the conversation with my sisters long enough. The normal, 'How is everybody? Is there anything new that's going on? Anything that we should know about?' occassional speak would have gone much smoother if Bella and I hadn't actually had something off-the-wall and not so 'usual' in the plain world which is what we crossed. The obstacle wasn't made any better since it seemed that we'd gotten into a situation with Demetri, a vampire... and if it wasn't for the heavy potential-drama, then I would have participated more in this visit's round of updates.

Of course, with my hesitation to answer the questions being asked, presumably I drew attention from my family. Naturally-for our older sister, Prue started picking at me when she noticed I'd gone silent during our talk. And despite my knowing that I told Bella that only she and myself out of the Halliwells would be involved, I knew I couldn't totally keep it quiet from my sisters and Leo.

As of now we sat in our hideaway Halliwell house-the duplicate house which stood almost as home-y in comparison. It was the only one we've managed to create as the original stood as a diversion for our deaths—vacant and completely closed off. In the family room was sat Prue, Piper, Paige, and myself, giving our weekly update of our 'life-undercover-patrol', while Piper husband, sons, and daughter were off doing as they pleased as long as they stay low.

"Phoebe," Prue snapped when she noticed I still hadn't answered her. If she really was pushed to it, she would telekinetically pinch me like she did throughout the time I frustrated her after we had first awoken from our supernatural power slumber.

"What... what!?" I kind of wanted to snap back, but I couldn't help but wonder back to how Bella and I were going to manage to get through helping a horde of vampires revolt against their 'Counsel' leaders...

"Are you going to answer Prue's question, or no?" Paige started to pull at my black leather jacket as she now stood by my left side, carefully observing my getup. "And what's with the sudden leather garments? We haven't worn battle-provoking leather since the great time travel..."

"The leather is comfy, especially in the New York weather. So shh! ...And... Nothing unusual has happened..." but I wasn't getting any better at lying, especially with my empath abilities now-feeling emotions that are not mine and not quite being able to lie when something felt horribly off, it was always because other people were always involved and I felt them. Even though I had used to be so well at getting away with lying forever ago, now it's just a game of dodge-mishap-and-guess-the-pieces-of-this-puzzle for them. Or, more simply—tell parts of the truth and omit some.

They didn't seem to speak too soon, the three of them waited for me to continue, all looking at me with worry or thoughtful looks in their eyes. I sucked in my breath at the expressions, thankful that I couldn't feel their emotions too at this moment, since the neighbors in the houses within 7 house distances all around me was enough to deal with as I tried to maneuver myself through and speak.

"But, there's been something troubling me about the activities that have been hitting the news these past few weeks. " I told them, sharply letting out my breath and stress.

"There has been a lot of activity going on," Paige supplied, thinking about the news reports that were continually being reported and some being hidden from the public eye minus the few people who has heard of the incidents. "After speaking with him on the phone, Leo told me that if he had been still in link with the Elders, then he would have known more to share with us all. The only information I have from my own curious investigation is from traditionally catching stories from the occasional passerbys through asking. Even they are feeling the heavy agitation."

"They feel the 'agitation'?" Piper questioned, raising an eyebrow as she looked to Paige in slight shock. We all know that most humans wouldn't be able to tell of the preternatural occurrences that were going on since these events have to a lot to do with things that weren't considered natural. And we weren't wrong for thinking this way, their stupor to the unnatural is a huge factor—we even used to be that way. "Wait! Where's Wyatt and Bella while this is all happening?"

Piper knows that her children went off to keep themselves hidden amongst the humans 'practically alone'. But the only one who was technically alone was Wyatt. Bella was with their father. And Leo knew what he was doing.

She didn't have a problem with humans, she loved them actually. But when it comes to her children and their extremely small lack of experience in dealing with people outside our kind, she couldn't really trust the 'humans' too much. Especially with her children having to stay "in hiding" for the majority of their lives growing up before they were allowed to be themselves on the low, she couldn't really trust the 'humans'.

It wasn't even permitted that any of us were to get involved with anything that could possibly need supernatural assistance from our gifts—which was Prue's decision. Piper just couldn't fully trust the 'humans'. Generally, though this was originally Prue's idea for the reason being that the Counsel might possibly find us and eliminate us, Piper and Leo agreed wholeheartedly. She couldn't fully trust 'humans'... just as Grams couldn't.

Call it 'the motherly instinct of the supernatural beings'. Neither Paige, Prue, nor I argued with Piper's reasoning. Most of the humans that she's ever known had turned out to be dark-blooded... if you know what I'm saying. Even though the humans we had worked with had proved that they cared about our family and that they would fight for and stand beside us with all their hearts and strength—she still believed some weren't as they claimed to be—that they didn't truly understand our struggle as she would like them to, with good reason, too. I suppose. We are supernatural who attract other supernatural beings naturally.

"Wyatt—you know he was taking off with his fiancee to Italy," Prue told her before turning back to me, the hardness gone from her eyes, but now in its place remained diplomatic curiosity. It was something she was so good at using, especially when she wanted to know something. Except, whatever she was wanting to say to me now didn't leave her lips, and instead she just stared curiously at me.

I rolled my eyes before answering the last part of Piper's question. "Bella left her private school in Phoenix to live with Leo in Forks because it was growing even more difficult for her to blend in."

"Even so... the activity does look to be going on deep around the world," Paige murmured before orbing a bag of grapes to where we counseled, and shoving an amount lesser than a handful into her mouth without paying much attention to her actions as she thought completely.

"So, is this going to take us getting involved to figure it out?" Piper asked, but everyone looked at one another, not quite sure of the answer ourselves.

All I knew was that my hands were already tied with a supernatural occurence, and I only hoped that these two weren't tied together, in spite of the odd gut feeling of apprehension I was getting. It was my mission to at least to keep my sisters and Leo out of even the knowledge pf this revolution until both Bella and I were cleared up from the situation; or else we'd be finished by our family alone for even giving ourselves the even greater possibility of being exposed to the Elders.

Bella

Mr. Banner's classroom looked fine when we walked into it, just a few students here and there, but otherwise it was a fairly empty and non-unusual classroom. Save for the really long notes that must have been left on the chalkboard from the classes previous, there wasn't much out of the norm. Edward walked behind me patiently in thoughtful silence as I walked slower than normal out of caution as we made our way to our desk to seat ourselves.

And presumably after hearing my thoughts of wariness, he chuckled lowly. "Is there any reason why you're on edge right now?"

"You spoke suspiciously before we came in here, excuse me for wanting to be prepared for any kind of surprise."

"You're not a huge fan of surprises?" he asked me curiously, his smile was almost unnoticeable, but I caught the positive pulls of the corners of his rosy lips... though I tried not to.

"Not exactly," I muttered, looking away to continue my investigation. Especially not the kind of surprises that involves the supernatural anonymous. Even if this doesn't involve anything supernatural—we're supernatural, and supernatural and surprises don't usually mix well as far as I've heard.

"It won't be so bad..." his smile became more defined and shaped into its crooked glory as I watched his moods move almost visibly as he looked toward the door to the classroom.

I couldn't tell why he turned his attention away from me so suddenly, and I wasn't going to ask why, until I heard Mike's voice pronounce my name hastier than usual and a bit more anxiously than what I was used to. "Hey, Bella, you got a minute?"

I turned toward the door where Edward was facing with a blank look on his face as the blonde teenage boy walked in and approached our desk. "Um... sure, what is it?"

He glanced nervously toward Edward and then back towards me again before letting his eyes retrace it's pathway again. "So, the guys at La Push are having a mini bonfire over the weekend, and I was wondering if you would be interested in coming with the gang and I this weekend? On Saturday?"

Edward hadn't said a word at all, but I couldn't help but wonder if this is what he had meant by asking me if I was ready for Biology... Mike's impatient and slightly frustrated form stiffly staring at me made me realize that I hadn't answered him for a while, and I racked my brain for a decent excuse as to why I wasn't going to be able to make it. "I'm really sorry... Mike, I won't be able to make it this weekend, I have to have a dinner meeting with family."

I felt rather than heard a light laughter coming from beside me. Edward was laughing... but it took me a moment to realize that the laughter wasn't heard by Mike, and it hadn't really been audible to me either.

"That's okay, maybe another time, then," he seemed to be relieved that there was an actual understandable reason for me not to come, and the brightness shined a little brighter in his eyes as he managed to convince himself of what he'd just said, and was satisfied with his own reply.

"That isn't really what I said..." I stated, but he didn't seem to hear me well enough. To myself, I thought, I suppose one trip with them wouldn't hurt, though. And with a shrug of my shoulders and him not paying me any mind, he took off to his seat besides Jessica, a little closer to the front of the room.

The class still hadn't started yet, and we were still short of some students, and Mr. Banner himself.

"Was that it?" I whispered to Edward besides me.

"No," he murmured quietly before shaking his head. "That was a last minute decision even I wasn't keeping track of. And why did you turn him down?"

"I didn't lie to him, if that's what you're wondering," I started, catching his green eyes for a moment before thinking out why I 'turned Mike down' that way. "I have to speak with my aunt, and I wasn't sure of a better time to speak with her; so I thought sooner rather than later."

The rest of the class filled quickly as Edward looked thoughtfully towards me. But before he could respond, Mr. Banner walked in, announcing to the class the agenda for the day.

Apparently he doesn't plan ahead of time. He doesn't even print out plans at the beginning of the year for any of the students on a synopsis to highlight what was in store for the juniors. Of course, I should have known because he didn't hand me a class planning paper and nothing was mentioned of a set of plans for the class. And even though I had just started in the middle of the school year, you'd think that every student who's attended all school year would still have received one. So, imagine my surprise when he announced to us what we were on for that day.

"Well," he started with a sheepish look on his face as he glanced over the lot of us with apologetic eyes. "Due to a few mishaps happening around my neighborhood, and Seattle running some kind of early drill investigation all throughout the night... I couldn't plan what topic the Biology classes would be on today. So, I am very sorry, but this period will be Study Hall for the lot of you. Thank you."

With that speech he walked back out of the classroom to god knows where, and the class went up in chatter immediately after.

I immediately turned to Edward preparing myself to ask him the same question from before, but he answered before I could open my mouth with a subtle shake of his head. "It seems like there's been more activity being instigated now than my family originally thought."

"You knew?"

"No," he answered. "I only knew he planned on calling class off. But that wasn't it."

Before I could ask him to just tell me what he meant, a wad of paper came flying from the front of the room toward the back of the room where Edward, myself, Angela, and Ben sat. Except, the paper wad wasn't heading toward Edward's and my table.

No.

It was heading for Angela in particular.

But just as it was about to hit her square in the face, she flinched back, having noticed either the sudden light wind the force the wad aimed in her direction created or the noise which was a bit more noticeable than the wind, I couldn't tell... but both Edward's an my eyes watched the scene. Me with slight anxiety in not knowing what to do, and Edward in an emotion I couldn't read or understand. But before I could process what was going to happen, the paper disappeared suddenly.

"There it is," he murmured quietly as a bunch of students started yelling and more paper wads started flying all throughout the classroom. "I suggest we duck."

The school day was long. But it ended pretty fairly.

Of course, in Biology there were so many paper wad balls flying everywhere that Edward and I didn't get to discuss what had happened at all. I couldn't even watch what had happened during that period because there was constantly paper being thrown. After class had ended, though, I had overheard a lot of my fellow classmates talking about how Lauren Mallorey started a paper wad war by throwing a paper wad at Angela because Angela had told her brother what she and Tyler were caught doing in the janitor's closet a few weeks ago.

The rest of the reason was a mystery to me, though, because after hearing that tidbit I didn't want to hear anything else of it as I had started blushing profusedly.

After leaving school, I drove to the convenience store and grabbed a box of honey and oats granola bars and then drove home in thoughtful silence so that I may go and prepare myself for the meeting. Edward had given me directions to his home after Biology and he told me to meet him and his family there whenever I was ready to talk to them, and I solemnly agreed as I thought of what could possibly happen.

Meeting up at the Cullens' house was an interesting event to think about, but considering there were pressing matters in the air, I didn't have much time to admire the scenery that was their home. I absentmindedly noted where it was, how many windows I saw, and how beautiful it was, but every detail wasn't committed for me to oggle at in wonder.

Carlisle was already home with his wife, Esme, and the entirety of the Cullens' had sat in their 'living' room, waiting for me to arrive, because Alice had messaged them during the school hours to tell them that I had agreed to come over for a discussion.

I got out of my Impala that was parked in the long drive behind Edward's Volvo, noticing that Edward was waiting outside on his doorsteps for me with a pensive look on his face, and his siblings were behind him, standing closer to the door. The Cullen siblings seemed to be a little less tense than before, probably being relieved from worrying whether I was in anyway out to get their family.

But I was anxiously waiting to hear the elaboration on the vision Alice had that involved me.

There was a kind of urgency that underlied our conversation from lunch that I couldn't wait to uncover and be more aware of. I felt it in the brief but friendly-appearing discussion we all had, and she made it as clear as it being so. Anyone could tell it was urgent if she had heard them speak of any matter just suddenly involving her, especially with how they approached me outside school earlier with sloppy subtlety for the level of power they weild. The Cullens must have already known the entirety of the situation on their part before they thought to speak to me about it even then.

And I couldn't help but to consider, maybe I knew my own part as well... considering, Alice got the vision supposedly around the time that I had just came from my aunt Phoebe's place the night before. And as for them being told what's going on before me? It seemed fitting because she would need of all them—including the doctor and his wife—in one place when she fully drops the surprise bomb on the only Halliwell present.

Once inside, Carlisle and Esme met us a few steps away from the door and greeted me with as warm and friendly a welcome as they could, given that we weren't meeting on just a friendly get together but really to discuss an important situation.

"I'm Carlisle Cullen," the handsome blonde man who looked to be no older than his mid-twenties spoke. "And this is my wife, Esme, and I see you have already met the rest of our family."

Esme smiled and said 'hello' as I nodded politely with a small smile on my face. Soon we were led into their living room where Carlisle and Esme were before we arrived, so that we would have a bit of comfort even as we spoke.

"Bella, what do you know about our kind and what is going on," Jasper began, a slightly anxious feeling swept over me, and I tried to understand what the hell it was as I looked at him confusedly in response to his question, taking my seat across from Edward and beside Alice who sat on the other side of the blonde vampire who inquired me first.

"Uh," I stammered a little, I felt their eyes on me all around the room, but only one pair made me feel slightly uncomfortable, and Jasper, whose eyes mine had not let go of seemed to look at my face for a second longer before his eyes seemed to get lighter and he gave a sheepish half-smile. The feeling of anxiety slowly left and a calm, confidence came over me as a friendly act of the vampire in mind as I opened my mouth to speak again. "I really don't know much..."

"Bella," Alice began with a genuine full smile, yet she looked to also be on edge; it was just more carefully controlled. Her smile dropped when she continued, though. "I saw... yesterday, shortly after you had made whatever decision you made... or should I say, your aunt made... I saw one of the greatest revolutions the universe will ever see break out... between the Volturi and the rest of us... and as we've said earlier, Forks was drawn into the mass of attention."

Despite my already knowing all of this, for some reason I felt like there was something she wasn't saying, and I couldn't get anything out of Carlisle, Esme, or any of the Cullen teenagers by glancing over their faces to gain an understanding, so I looked down as I spoke, but by midsentence I was back to looking in Alice's eyes. "I get that you guys would rather hide than engage in a fight so that you guys may live peaceful and all..."

I trailed off as I watched Edward, from the corner of my eye, shaking his head throughout my response to what Alice said. But Emmet was the one to speak up this time.

"You aren't getting it. It's the greatest revolution... involving all of us—the universe... The foremost and dead scary outcome is that the Powers that Be have a high chance of getting involved, the same Powers that have a script for all the downworld people..."

"What do you mean? Isn't it only between the vampires and the Volturi?" There's a chance that my entire family might get involved? My heart dropped at the thought. That wasn't the plan, it was our goal for aunt Phoebe and I to avoid that.

"That's the thing. The whole downworld population of the earth gets involved..." Edward responded to me quietly. "There won't be any hope to escape it... and no way around it."

"If we fight, then the world goes into the greatest World War, we could dub it the Third WW, but," Alice stopped for a second, looking at Edward as she got back on track with what she was saying before she tried to give it a name. "If we don't fight," her eyes glazed over for a short moment.

"If we don't fight...?" I found myself trying to rush her a little, though I had an idea that she might have been getting a vision for the possible outcome if we didn't fight; and I wondered idly why I couldn't call on visions at will like that...so far only having one.

"The Volturi will stop at nothing to eliminate the most powerful circles of witches and enslave the vampires in the covens who had witch blood when they were alive," she stated blankly.

My hands started to tingle in response to what Alice said, but I tried not to lift or move my hands, so that I didn't freeze anything out of my own stemmed uncontrollable anxiety now.

So the outcome would have been bad even if aunt Phoebe had refused Demetri? Or did that mean, that if aunt Phoebe had refused him, he would have had to wait for some other witches to come around to help them? But it seemed as though he was dead set on convincing one of my family to get involved. Would that mean... that the Volturi would have eventually found my family, who—like the Cullens'—only wanted to live in peace? And... how would we avert the Elders Council of White Lighters, the foremost representatives for the Powers that Be, from discovering that we still exist and we still have our powers if the Powers get alerted to this war...?

I couldn't find a way to understand if the conflict was avoidable or not in my mind. It still stood difficult to believe that a chance encounter with Demetri for sure set these events to have a high possibility of happening one way or another. Even though... even before then... it must have been triggered by something other than my visit, considering it was my receiving a vision for the first time that dragged me to aunt Phoebe... and aunt Phoebe had already been talking to Demetri... so what is the real spark ignitiator for all of this?

A chill went down my spine as another flash crossed behind my closed eye lids. But stopped just as suddenly, as if in pause as I blinked rapidly.

"Bella couldn't be the beginning of this revolution," Edward murmured, reading my thoughts as he glanced up and looked me in my eyes with a dawning of understanding. "The vampires have been planning to revolt even before she came to Forks... the one she had crossed had it in mind to recruit her family..."

Carlisle started to respond immediately out of concern, but thought better of it as he finished the conclusion that his adopted son had started. "So, they would have involved the entire downworld population regardless of whether her family answered or not?"

"He looks to have wanted their agreement, and for them to be involved. At the most, the war would have only been put off for a short while by her not going to visit her aunt." Edward answered, sounding as though he were listening in on a telecast while he stared me in the eye.

Can he read all my thoughts? Or just my present ones?

"It couldn't possibly stand to be put off for long, I have a feeling Demetri planned on convincing my aunt before I even thought to visit her."

It was silent for a while, and I went back to wondering if the entire population of supernatural would be involved or not... and just how long could Phoebe and I keep my aunts, father, and mother out of it. And it seemed that just by Edward and I having biology together got their entire family involved...

I tried to form a question of why so that I could understand. But, I couldn't, it instead just made me question: what if every supernatural being that I came across was immediately involved that way?

Jasper started to speak, but someone else beat him to it.

"Let's not talk about how it got started," Rosalie spoke. "It's good that we know the circumstances of Bella triggering Alice's vision wasn't the cause of the war, but we need to figure out a way to not get involved and keep our secrecy, even if they decide to carry it out despite having good reasons not to."

Alice looked to Rosalie, along with Esme, Carlisle, Edward, and Emmet. All having a similar expression of doubt on their faces.

"There isn't a way for us not to get involved, you know this," Esme told her quietly. "We appear to have gotten involved the moment Bella and Edward personally crossed paths, dear."

As soon as Esme said it, the chill came at me full on in a small bout of pressure as it forced its way into my senses. The flash was longer than it started out to be moments ago, and I was pulled out of my conciousness and into my mind as a short scene began to play out before me, and it was a knee-jerk reaction to close my eyes that I may see it better.

A collective gasp broke out as the Cullen family seemed to notice my sudden pull from the conversation.

"She's having a vision," Edward spoke to the others, but I couldn't pay attention to it.

Another one, this time I could tell what it was. A vampire. He was preparing to bite into the neck of... suprisingly, another teenaged girl. Her hair was dark, her glasses were askew, and her eyes...

I recognized them... the brown puppy-dog eyes... her small wisdom showing lines around her small lips... Angela Weber, and the vision cut.

Alice was the first to break me from my short reverie, looking with intense curiosity. "You have visions, too?"

I just shook my head for the time being... "Not the same as you. Rather than seeing based on decisions being made and my being involved with the person or situation... I see people who either I'm supposed to save, or not. If I'm not to save them, it's in the way that that vision might lead to larger situation that I'm later involved in, unless I take care to avoid it." I paused, not really wanting to continue explaining. That's my problem, I feel way to comfortable with them here. I changed the subject to what I was originally going to say. "Anyway, Angela Weber is the target for some vampire, I'm guessing. I saw her... but the vision was so short. I can't tell when or what was going to happen, but I need to get to her..."

"If it's a vampire that is after her, then there might be a relatable reason why you had that vision now," Rose stated, considerably.

"What do you think triggered that to be shown to you?" Carlisle asked, peering over at me from his spot in the large cushioned mahogany papa bear looking chair across the room.

A thought crossed my mind as I realized why it was that the vampire was attacking her. My mind raced and my mouth ran faster to try to catch up but all that came out in response to the blonde male vampire was, "They're already preparing for the revolution, and they're recruiting..."

"You think that Angela has witch blood in her genes," Edward stated. "And that they're creating newborns to get through this upcoming revolution..."

"It only makes sense, there doesn't seem to be any of you that doesn't know what is coming; it looks like the whole downworld is aware of what would happen... It would be the logical explanation for them creating more vampires, and why I've seen the act play out twice when I've been introduced to the situation."

Before anyone could get a reply in, I hurriedly stood to my feet, looking over the Cullens'. I hadn't intended to reveal any of my powers to them, but the timing of that vision was too close, and with Edward being able to read minds, I couldn't keep it back for long.

It was only my second vision and it was more clearer than the last. "I'm going to go, but I'll see you all when I see you... keep me updated. Thank you for having me! I'll see you all around!"
