Kit's POV

After leaving Chloe's bedroom, I turn to walk down the hallway when I see Tori coming down in the opposite direction.

"Tori," I say, stopping her.

"What's up?" she asks me.

"Have you seen Simon?"

She jabs her thumb back towards the stairs. "He's downstairs making small talk with that Amy girl." She moves to keep walking but I stop her again, annoyance written in her eyes.

"Actually, it's both of you I need to see right now."

Her brows pull together and I can sense the confusion.

"Now. Meet me in my room." I turn around and head for my room. Oh boy, something tells me this is not going to go down well.

...

Five minutes later, Tori and Simon walk in and I motion for them to sit down on the bed while I stand. I pace the room for a minute before I buck up the courage to finally explain to them why I brought them in here. I pull a chair over and sit down, leaning forward with my elbows resting on my knees.

"I brought you both in here because there's something you two should know about each other," I say.

"If it's about Simon's unusually loud snoring, I know," Tori snorts.

"Shut up, Bedhead."

Tori's hand whips around and smacks Simon in the shoulder and I can immediately see the resemblance. Whether they know it or not, they fight like siblings. It's not surprise that Tori inherited a lot of her mother and Simon of me; the boys tend to inherit more from their fathers as do the girls from their mothers. Especially Diane and I's genes, it's nothing to be concerned or surprised about.

"Okay you two," I cut in. "Now what I am about to tell you may shock you both. It's not something anyone - especially you two kids - could handle too easily."

"What's up, Dad?" Simon asks.

I sigh heavily before looking them both in the eye. "I'm not just Simon and Derek's father. I'm also yours, Tori."

Neither of them said a word or even moved an inch. It's like time was frozen. Tori's eyes finally widened but she didn't say a word. Simon's face went a sort of pink colour as though he were embarrassed about something. I suppose this is a better reaction then I expected. If anything, I expected Tori to be the first one to freak out and start zapping things out of anger and confusion. I guess you could say I was relieved.

The silence was broken by the sound of Simon's laughter. He doubled over his knees, laughing hysterically. Tori eventually looked over, her eyes shooting daggers at him as he continued to laugh. She eventually looked back at me and I can see that she was beyond upset.

"Is this some kind of joke, Kit?" she snaps at me.

"I'm afraid not, Tori. Diane and I -"

She holds a hand up, cutting me off. "Don't even mention her name."

I nod and continue. "She and I used to work together. We didn't get along at first because witches and sorcerers are genetically hateful towards each other. Eventually time went on and we started getting along. A couple of years later, we started dating and got married. Then -"

"If you're about to tell me how you supposedly impregnated my mother, spare me the gory details," Tori snaps again. "I don't believe any of this." She turns to Simon. "Do you?"

By this point Simon had already stopped laughing and he was listening closely, but I don't think he was buying it either.

"I'm listening, but I'm not sure what I'm thinking," Simon puts in.

Tori rolls her eyes. "Look Kit, I'm sure you and my mom had a good ol' time. But I know who my real father is and he's not you." She gets to her feet and heads for the door. I stand as well but make no move to go after her.

"That man you call 'Daddy' is not your real father." I feel terrible for pushing this, but it was bound to come out. "After you kids were born, Di - Your mother disappeared with you in the middle of the night. I guess she decided that having a sorcerer for a son and husband would have ruined her reputation with the Edison Group."

Tori's hand rested on the door handle but she made no move to open the door. Instead she just stood there in silence - an eerie silence with her back facing me, her head facing the wall. I see her shoulder rise and fall as she inhales and exhales deeply. When she turns around the rims of her eyes are red and she sniffs. I turn to Simon who seems dumbfounded by Tori's emotional reaction. I guess this is the first time Tori has ever shown any real feeling towards something other than herself.

"That man I call Daddy, Kit, is my real father. Not you."

I have to admit that stung, but she was right. I was never there. But when Diane left, I never saw her again, no matter how hard I tried.

"Tori, I -"

"No!" She yells and I see sparks at her fingertips.

"Tori," I say her name in a warning tone.

"No!" she repeats. She throws the bedroom door open and storms halfway down the hall. "You're a liar, Kit Bae! Go to hell!" I watch as she runs down the hall, down the stairs. The slam of a door is the last sound she makes.

I sit back down in the chair and drop my face in my hands. For the first time since I lost touch with my boys, I wanted to cry. I always believed that Simon and Derek were my only two kids until I saw Tori and Simon together. There's no question that she is my daughter. I questioned her relation to Diane Enright, but now I see it. She has her mother's whole face and stubborn personality, but she has my hair and wit.

"Dad?"

I look up to see Simon leaning forward closer to me.

"Is Tori really my...?"

I nod. "She is. At first I wasn't sure. But now I am."

For a minute Simon says nothing.

"What happens now?" he asks.

"I don't know, son."
