Chapter 7
Ok! Hi. So... sorry? I haven't uploaded since like Christmas I think. Basically after x-mas I had mock exams and then after the mocks in January I had to start revising for my real ones in May/June, and I only finished them on Thursday. However, I am all done now and I have nothing but free time to write fanfics for y'all ;)
I think I let some of the people that sent me reviews in the past month know about why I haven't uploaded, and that I would be posting more after the 19th June (which is like now). I will never be abandoning any of my stories because even if I suffer from a 5 year writer's block I will still end up going back to it in the end. Also, if you didn't notice I have uploaded another Lost Boys fanfic so be sure to check it out. ^_^
Disclaimer: Nothing from the film 'The Lost Boys' belongs to me, however OC's (including, but not limited to: Erika, Maddie and Cindy) are mine.
Enjoy, my little cherry drops! Xxx
"OK," I said, trying to correlate my thoughts to what Edgar had just told me. "You mean to tell me that they are vampires? Like blood drinking, pointy teeth, allergic to garlic type guys?" He grunted while nodding, and I was torn between laughing and hitting him. He was clearly trying to play a joke on me. Did he think I was that gullible? "And you expect me to believe that Michael is one of them – a vampire?" I said.
"No. He's not a vampire yet." Now I was about to scream in frustration. The least he could do is make his joke straightforward! "He is only a half-vampire." I did laugh at this. What the hell is a half vampire? "Hey, you asked me for answers and I gave them to you. Sam is not going to be happy about this."
I stopped in laughing to glared at the Frog. "You have given me nothing. Vampire's aren't real! They are stories. Myths!" I gave one last glare before leaving the shop, feeling very irritated. If that was what he planned on telling me all along, then why were Michael and Sam so determined to make sure he didn't tell me? Maybe they just didn't want me to think of him as crazy.
As I walked out of the shop I was sure I could feel eyes on me, but I could see no one explicitly looking at me. The crowd had significantly thinned from when I went in there, and I realised it was half past eleven. They had began to turn off the lights to some of the rides and people had began making their way towards their cars..
I made my way home greatly annoyed that the Frog didn't help me at all. If those are the answers he wanted to give me then that is crap. I opened the door quietly, as I knew everyone would probably be in bed, and saw Mike in the kitchen.
"Hey, dude." I said. He looked up with an eye brow raise.
"You shouldn't be out this late."
I couldn't hold back a chuckle. "Okay, dad." I replied and proceeded to take off my jacket. I put it on the hanger and walked to the mirror to see if my hair was still fairly tamed. I caught a glimpse of Michael in the kitchen and realised I could look right through him. He was sort of there but like fading... I could also see the cupboards that were behind him through his head. As if sensing eyes on him he looked up and saw me still looking in the mirror. Fear gripped me as he began moving and I started high tailing it up the stairs.
Hearing him gaining on me as I reached the top I drew in a breath to scream, but he managed to clamp his hand over my mouth before the scream manifested. I tried to pull away towards my bedroom; however,, Michael had me in an iron grip, holding my mouth with one hand and my arms with the other. "Shh, I'm not going to hurt you." He whispered in my ear, probably because we were just outside of our mom's room. I relaxed slightly. I mean he sounded like my brother. He manoeuvred me into my bedroom as it was closest and shut the door, all the while keeping a hand over my mouth in case I decided to scream and alert the rest of the house. "I'm going to let you go, but promise me you won't scream." He said, no longer whispering.
I nodded rapidly and the hand was removed. Turning around I looked at my brother with wide eyes. "What the hell Mike?" I exclaimed in a whisper as I needed to keep fairly quiet not to wake anyone. "What happened to you?"
He looked down at the floor for a moment before glancing back to me. "I drank someone's blood and became a vampire." If it was even possible my eyes got wider.
Suddenly it dawned on me, "Are you and Edgar playing some kind of sick joke on me? Because I'll tell you now, it's not funny." I scanned Mike's face to see any signs that this was in fact a joke, but there were none.
"No, it's not a joke."
It took me three hours to finally somewhat accept that Michael was a vampire – well a half-vampire. Apparently Sam already knew, but I guess that explains why he acts differently around Mike now compared to before we moved here. Edgar thinks that if they kill the 'head vampire' then Michael will return to human. And guess who the vamps in town just so happen to be? Big bad biker guys that seem to have taken some interest in me.
That thought made my stomach start flipping. Am I just a meal to them? Or do they plan on making me a vampire? I didn't particularly like the idea of either, if I am perfectly honest. I was somewhat reluctant to believe that they even were vampires. I mean what I saw in the mirror showed that Mike was definitely something else, but I had not seen anything to suggest the guys were."Mike?" I said. "Why didn't you tell me that the guys I hang with are creatures of the night?" I questioned and he looked down.
"I wanted to protect you." He let out a short, harsh laugh. "I guess it didn't work out too well." Indicating to himself and his vampiric state.

I awoke the next morning to my mom knocking on the door. "Hi, hun." She peered through with a smile, before entering and sitting on my bed. I sat up and rubbed my tired eyes, and returned her smile. "I just wanted to tell you that Max should be over in a few hours for dinner.
"Dinner?" I asked. "What time is it?"
"It's five o'clock." Oh, great. I'm not even a vampire but I am keeping their hours. "I really hope Michael is not having a bad influence on you. I don't want you sleeping all day too." I shook my head.
"No, me and Mike were up talking late last night so I was just really tired." She smiled nodding, kissing me on the cheek before leaving me to get ready for her dinner guest to arrive.
I spent over an hour in the bath, soaking in the heat of the water, before stepping out and looking for some clothes. I thought about wearing a dress but then thought this is my house, I'll wear what I want. And settled for a blouse with leggings. By the time I was done it was 7:45pm. I walked down the stairs and saw Mike talking to someone at the door. It looked like he was preparing to leave. However, I didn't have time to ask him as when I reached the bottom he swept out just as Max stepped in.
"Hey, Max!" I said with a smile. He was holding flowers and looking a little nervous.
"Hi, Erika." He replied and I nodded my head to the dining room where my mom would be. Max got the hint, righting his tie before proceeding to find my mother. I went the other way looking for Sam. I found him in the kitchen doing something to the cheese. He wasn't alone either – Frog boy was there. We exchanged awkward looks before I spoke to Sam.
"What are you doing?" He jumped and looked up at me.
"Just don't have the parmesan." He said with a mischievous smile. "Trust me." He added and I walked over and smelled the cheese only to end up having my nose filled with the stench of garlic.
I narrowed my eyes at Sam, "What vampire are you attempting to kill then?" I said and saw his eyes widen as he could tell I hadn't said it as a joke.
Edgar was the one to answer. "Max." My eyebrows rose so much that they must have been on the other side of my head. "We think he's the head vampire." I couldn't help but laugh as I thought back to his nervous demeanour as he held the flowers at the door.
"No really!" Sam exclaimed. "He never comes out until after it's dark, he's got a hell hound that is violent when protecting him during the day."
"Sam you have a dog that will go to any lengths to protect you. Are you the head vampire?" I asked and saw Edgar stiffen and then relax – probably thinking that he had seen him during the day so that wouldn't check out. "Mike told me everything. I don't think Max is the head vampire, so don't do this stuff." Both of the boys looked at me like I was mad.
"It has to be Max, Erika!" Sam whined. "It only makes sense."
I looked at my brother and grabbed his shoulders to get him to listen to my properly. "No, Sam, it doesn't. I'm going to see if this guy I know is the head vampire, I need you to cover for me with mom. It is not Max, I promise." I said to my brother and saw his believe me. I looked back to Edgar and I could see that he never truly believed it was Max in the first place. "I'll be back later." I said and left, making my way to the board walk.
Quickly glancing in the garage, I saw that Michael had taken his motorcycle, much to my disappointment, leaving me to jog to the board walk. It took me a grand total of ten minutes to get to there because I sprinted most of the way. When I got there I could not see Michael or any one of the other biker guys whom had a tendency for tormenting me. I even asked someone if they had seen David and the boys, because they were quite well known for their bad reputation, but no such luck.
I was about to give up when I saw them. Paul was sitting on the railings overlooking a bonfire, Marko was leaning against them next to him, Dwayne was lingering as close to the shadows as he could get, and David was standing in the glow of the fire giving his sinister look more malice. Michael hadn't arrived yet so I decided now would be the best time to approach the boys. My heart was beating loudly in my chest, because I was unsure what they were. Were they vampires or was everyone being stupid?
It was Paul who saw me approaching first. "Hey babe." He said to me with a smirk and they all turned, and gave me the same look.
"Look who it is." I attempted to smile at Marko who had spoke, but it failed. Maybe coming here alone with potential vampires was not the best idea in the world.
I saw David look suspiciously at me, "What's wrong?" Well, I had already started I couldn't just leave they would know something was definitely up.
"I was just bored and we don't hang out enough. Plus Maddie and Cindy were busy." I added as to not arouse suspicion. All of the guys looked at each other and smiled. I had an idea. "Oh, my god! I'm really craving pizza and garlic bread, let's go." I grabbed the first person who was by me, which just so happened to be Paul. Luckily he came willingly as I dragged him by the hand to the pizzeria at the end of the board walk.
I was about order when he spoke up, "Seriously, I am not eating garlic. I ain't gonna get any if I do, and neither will you."
"Any what?" I asked before I realised what he was talking about and then blushed. "Oh... well, I am not in the mood for that, but I am in the mood for garlic bread and a pepperoni pizza! Who's with me?" I turned to the guys and no one joined so I was left hanging, and Paul laughed. "Erg, fine! I'll starve." I said and stormed out of the place. Maybe they genuinely just didn't want stinky breath for girls, not that they were vampires.
I heard someone run out after me and looked to see baby-faced Marko looking at me worried, "You can have the pizza if you want it." He said, biting his thumb. There is no way he could be a vampire he is too innocent. Then something caught my eye that made me think of another way to prove that they were not vampires. All of the others were approaching now.
"You can make it up to me by coming into the House of mirrors with me and then take me to see the band playing on the beach at ten." I smiled up at David who was the closest to me now.
"Ok. We'll take you into the baby mirror house." I smiled to myself as we made our way towards the line to get in. As soon as we got in in the ride, I was alone. I did several 360s to ensure there was no one, but I was indeed alone with my reflection. Literally they had abandoned me. Does that mean they were avoiding mirrors or they were being dicks and leaving me like typical teen boys? I made my way through the house of mirrors smacking my face into one or two.
When I got out I saw them all leaning against the wall, just off to the side of the exit, smoking. Stalking up to them I pushed David aggressively but he only laughed. "Why did you leave me, you asshole!?"
"Sorry, love." He replied, breathing his cigarette smoke in my face. "I will take you to see that band on the beach now though." He tried to put his arm over my shoulder my I moved out of his way.
"Haha, no you will not." I said. "I am going with Dwayne. As I said before I like a guy without a shirt." I said running my nails over Dwayne's exposed chest. David's lustful look was the reaction I was looking for; however I was not expecting Dwayne to growl lightly. I looked at him to see him looking down at me just as lusty. Linking arms with him I pulled him towards the beach with the others hot on our tail.
This was definitely rock. The band was currently doing a cover of Paradise City which was actually pretty good. I mean not as good as the original but it was good. David was looking at me "Either come and dance or stop staring." I shouted over the music and he smiled as though he didn't have any issue hearing what I had said, which I knew was impossible because he was a good ten feet away. He moved towards us and pulled my hips forward so I was flush against him. We began moving. It was way too slow for Paradise city, but David refused to actually go in time with the music, and he was in control of my hips. I was gripping on to his jacket so I didn't fall backwards. He bent down and began kissing my jawbone. Unlike last time, this time when he started kissing my neck I didn't burst out laughing as it tickled, I gasped at it's arousing sensation his cold lips sent through me. Then I remembered he might be a vampire and he was by my neck, causing me to let go of his jacket and stumble backwards. Luckily his grip on my hips stopped me from falling far.
I think finding out if these guys are creatures of the night back fired, I thought. I was supposed to work out if they were vampires and if David was the head, but no I ended up running my nails along Dwayne's chest, holding Paul's hand and sexually moaning at David. Well, at least I left Marko alone I guess.
It's kinda short, sorry. But at least you got something, and it took me ages to write this. Plus you will be getting more, because I am off for summer now and I have over two months free, so stay tuned.
R&R, 'cus this got seriously heated! Phew! xx
