Noel crept into the room silently. It had been a pretty long night of partying in their house, and everyone else was now content with going to bed. Serah however, had gone off to their room to sleep a few hours prior, as she hadn't been feeling that great throughout the day.

He wanted to flip on the light to orient himself… but he knew that could easily wake her, and if she was coming down with something, she needed all the sleep she could get. Noel slowly felt around until his eyes adjusted to the darkness of the room. He quietly crept up, and gently leaned over onto the bed to check if Serah was in fact asleep. She seemed to be sleeping soundly, wrapped up tightly in the covers. He smiled and lightly stroked her head before quietly moving away from her to change. He slipped off his shirt and pulled on some pajama pants before carefully crawling in bed. This was always difficult. When Serah fell asleep first it always gave Noel a sort of moral dilemma: Cuddle up to his sleeping girlfriend and risk waking her, or be as still as possible and be sure not to wake her… He examined his options for a moment, looking over at her. Serah's back was turned to him so all he could see was her side move up and down as she breathed.

Hmph…It's cold tonight. He thought, allowing this be his reasoning for taking the 'riskier' of the two choices. Noel carefully moved closer to Serah until his torso was leaned close to her back. He waited a moment, watching her to be sure she was still asleep, before slowly moving again. This time, he gently brushed Serah's hair to the side, and away from her shoulder and nuzzled his face into up against the now cleared spot. He then wrapped an arm around her small waist, lightly pulling her against him. Noel sighed, now completely content with going to sleep.

A moment later Serah's body moved sleepily, readjusted to is form against her back. She carefully entangled one of her feet around Noel's legs and moved her arm, that had been previously stretched out in front of her, back to her stomach to intertwine her fingers up with his.

Noel chuckled lightly, he felt bad that he'd woken her, but, enjoyed her desire to be closer. "I love you." Noel whispered, kissing the back of her shoulder lightly.

Serah hummed quietly before finding enough of a voice to speak. "I love you too."

"I'm sorry I woke you, I tired my best…"

Serah smiled, still keeping her eyes closed. "It's ok. Cuddling isn't terrible to be woken up by."

"I'm glad." Noel squeezed her a little in effort to give her a hug. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight Noel." Serah yawned then almost immediately fell back asleep with Noel soon after.
