Franklin greeted Babydoll as she walked down the stairs dressed in all pink, from her floppy hat to her high wedge shoes. She was holding an over-sized pink bag full of what looked like dolls. That was no surprise to Franklin, he knew that she wanted to share her love for dolls with him and he was delighted that she did.
"Ready to go bowling, Babydoll?" Franklin asked with a mischievous grin on his handsome face.
"Bowling!" Babydoll gasped and placed her tiny hand on her not so tiny chest.
"I'm just kidding. I am taking you to dinner, I know that you've been craving a southern style meal and I've heard Jackson has lots of places like that."
Babydoll threw her arms around Franklin and pulled his head down to her full chest. Franklin adored how affectionate she was and her innocence was something that he missed about the world he resided in.
The odd couple jumped into the limo, leaving the remaining girls at the mansion to gossip about the current events.
Franklin took Babydoll to a restaurant called 'Johnny's Country Fried Chicken'. This place was known in the south to have the best-pan-fried chicken, oven baked biscuits and all the comfort foods a southern mother would make. He told her where they were headed and she was so happy she leaped onto his lap and kissed him, smearing her pastel pink lip gloss on his mouth. He kissed her back, enjoying the taste of her. She pulled away abruptly and apologized for her behavior.
"I'm sorry Franklin; I've never done anything like that before!"
"Well, you should. If it feels good, why not do it."
"I don't think I could live like that Franklin."
"If you were mine you would," Franklin replied with a sly grin on his lips.
Babydoll thought about what he said the entire trip to the restaurant. She didn't know if she should be frightened of flattered.
Inside the restaurant, the young woman's mouth began to water, from the smell of fried chicken that filled the air. The couple was seated in the private dining room reserved for dinner parties. This was to allow the camera crew to film undisturbed. Babydoll looked over the menu and when the waitress arrived to take her order she was ready.
After setting down a plastic basket of biscuits, a glass pitcher of water and a handful of butter packets on the table, the waitress took out her pad and looked at Babydoll inquiringly.
"I'll have the pan-fried chicken - leg, breast, and wing - mashed potatoes with gravy, corn on the cob and a large ice tea," the tiny woman ordered licking her lips in anticipation.
Franklin ordered a glass of True Blood, type A negative.
While they waited for Babydoll's food, Franklin took the time to try and get to know more about her, besides her obvious love for dolls and the color pink. Unfortunately, that was all Babydoll wanted to talk about. He felt he was holding back, Franklin was downright offended that she did not ask him anything in an attempt to get better acquainted with him, or at least fulfill her curiosity about vampires in general. She was the first human who didn't ask him how old he was or how he became a vampire. All humans asked that Franklin thought. It was as if she wanted to forget he was a vampire at all.
Making the date even more unpleasant for the bachelor was the fact that Babydoll talked while eating, letting particles of corn fly out of her mouth and land in random and inappropriate places. Franklin wanted to tell her to shut up and finish her meal, but she was having a good time and he did not want to ruin that for her. At least one of them should have fun, he thought. he asked her other things, but that too led to the talk of dolls. No matter what Franklin asked her it always ended up back to food, dolls and pink shit. Never returning the favor and asking anything about him, or them or anything of substance. The bachelor was visibly upset but only Andrew seemed to notice. The cameras kept rolling and Babydoll kept talking. Her voice became too much for him to bear, and once she pulled two dolls out of her bag and began to put on some sort of performance with them Franklin was overwhelmed with dark thoughts. He tried to fight the black that was invading him, so he took a sip of True Blood. The drink had not been heated and that did it.
Franklin began to see black...The dreaded black...
All he could remember was grabbing the dolls -ripping and tearing them while Babydoll screamed louder than Ginger ever could and Andrew tugging at him before everything went away.
When the blackness was over, he was in the restroom, in a stall, with Andrew standing over him... He hoped he did not cause any damage, but there was no doubt, Babydoll was gone...
Franklin Mott/The Bachelors Confession-"I needed to let the viewers know I am not the bad guy. No matter what you saw. I didn't mean to do what I did. I just couldn't take it anymore! She kept going on about how to make the dolls and maintain the dolls, her collection of dolls, and the bloody history of dolls. Give me a bloody fucking break!
He crossed his arms and sat back in the seat.
"I mean you saw how I was truly giving her my best. Garry told me that she wept the whole ride home. No one was able to talk her out of it; she immediately packed and was on the next flight back to her town. I don't blame her, we are certainly not meant to be," He said as he ran his hand into his curly hair.
"I just want you to know, Babydoll, that I am sorry for what I did. I and wish you the best. I just hate your damn dolls and that won't change."
Franklin turned off the lamp and left the room.
