Sydney's P.O.V
Adrian had a plan that was absolutely brilliant, I would bounce in excitement but that wasn't really me. I was ecstatic, this was a way to get rid of Daniella and not go to any extreme measures to do so, like... live in a cave in Africa. Only thing was that we could hardly go to India... I'd have to rebook our flights later. I heard shuffling and Daniella's annoying voice call out a good morning behind the door. Wonderful, I wonder how she will react when I tell her that her darling son had gone for coffee before she woke up, for someone who stated that he was one hundred percent badass, he was actually a pretty big mummy's boy... or at least he was in Daniella's eyes.
"Good morning," Daniella greeted, sitting down at the table looking disdainfully at the sausages and strips of bacon I was cooking with no offer to help. "I didn't think you were the kind of person who ate a big breakfast." Was she trying to start conversation with me or was she making a jibe about my weight?
"I'm not." I answered stiffly still trying to figure it out. "It's for Adrian."
"He sure has you wrapped around his little finger." She commented. I was going to settle on accidently insulting.
"He doesn't, we made a trade. He went for coffee and I'd make him a 'decent' breakfast." Well it was the truth. She just raised her eyebrows.
"You were up early, weren't you?" She asked rather suspiciously. She was on to us.
"I'm an early riser." I almost said ma'am after that, but I'd be damned if she was getting my respect.
"And what about my son?" Could she not just let it go?
"He heard me get up and followed me into the kitchen." Thank God that I was skilled in lying.
"Why did you send him out for coffee? We bought some coffee beans yesterday in the store." Daniella continued to question me and try my patience, but at least I didn't have to lie this time.
"There is nothing like a properly made coffee." Just thinking about that coffee was enough to make me crazy. Unfortunately Adrian was sticking with the one coffee a day deal. I don't know what I was going to do with the second coffee that he brought back... I suppose I would have to give it to Daniella... hopefully he'd retrieve that one from the garbage.
I glanced down at the sausages that were nicely browned and I scooped them onto a plate with a fork - the hotel hadn't provided a spatula. I took a look at the bacon, it was a dark pink colour and looked pretty crispy but I didn't know if they were cooked or not, I had never laid my eyes on bacon in my life due to my dad and his plan to make us all emancipated, anorexic, starved, little girls. I thought about asking Daniella but didn't think I could face anymore of her snippy comments so I just put them on the plate. If they were undercooked Adrian would know and he wouldn't touch them.
Actually Adrian had been gone a long time considering that the coffee shop was just around the corner.
Just as I thought it, I was conveniently pulled into his head.
Sage! Sage! Help! Please be in my head! Either the Warriors of Light have expanded their group or the Alchemists' have kidnapped me!
I pulled myself out of his head and immediately shot a panicked look at Daniella.
"What? Am I really that bad without make-up?" She asked almost self consciously
"Adrian's been kidnapped!" I whispered. I needed a plan quickly, I needed to save Adrian.
"What? Don't be so paranoid, Adrian is fine." Daniella snapped.
"No, they kidnapped him." I said rather weakly and breathlessly.
"How would you know that unless... you are shadow bonded to him!" Now she was panicking about a completely different thing.
"Complain later, Adrian needs our help right now!" I snapped, ready to slap her if needed.
"What can we do? My baby has been kidnapped and it is all your fault." She accused. I wasn't going to deny it but I certainly wasn't going to let her dwell on it.
"I know and you can kill me for it later but right now we need to rescue Adrian." I said, still racking my brain for a master plan.
Suddenly a brick came flying though the window. Daniella shrieked and jumped about twenty feet into the air but I had been expecting it.
We'll make you a trade Sydney. You in exchange for the boy. You have forty eight hours or you'll never get him back. Choose wisely and meet us at the closed down restaurant on the highway 267 in two days time. The Warriors of Light.
Well at least I knew that the Warriors of Light were friendly with the Alchemists', and I had two days to come up with a brilliant plan. I opened the contact list on my phone - there was no way I would he able to pull this off on my own.
"Abe? It's Sydney, I need to make you a deal
