Chapter six Bay-Bees! (I'm awesome aren't I?)

Dean's P.O.V.

We sat around the room, just waiting. Waiting for her to wake up, someone to break the tension, anything. Until, I was tired of waiting.

"What the hell happened back there?" It was now late afternoon, almost sunset. When me and Sam came to, Cas was checking on a passed out Amia and a beat to shit Gabriel was proofing every opening in the house, that was over nine hours ago.

"Yes Gabriel," Cas turns to Gabriel with a glare, "what did happen?"

He looked nervous, but frankly I didn't give a damn. He clears his throat and sighs. "Her powers kicked in. It wasn't supposed to be like this, she was going to get time to adapt slowly and..."

"And now she's been passed out for hours. What. Happened?" I say through my clenched teeth, it was starting to get a migraine.

"Zachariah and Micheal happened. They wanted to take Amia away, but," he motions to Amia who was snuggling next to a Sam that wasn't paying to us, "you can see how well that went." For some reason the three of us look at Amia, than at Sam. There's this pang of jealousy in me, but it's gone as fast as it came.

Sam's watch beeps and he nods to Cas as he stands up, detangling Amia from him. Cas almost immediatly is in the bed next to her, trying his best not to be uncomfortable with the close contact. This is how it's been since the first ten minutes of leaving her alone, my ears are still rining from her screams.

We had just placed her in her bedroom, which is larger than any cheesy motel me and Sam have spent time in, and closed the door when the shifting began. Five minutes later there were sickly moans coming from her bedroom, we tried our best to not disturb her. At exactly ten minutes she was screaming bloody murder. I can't remember how we all ran the fast on those tiny stairs to get up there, when we opened the door Cas shoved us all aside and damn near flew to her. The moment he held her, she stopped screaming, latched on to him, and tiredly sighed.

It was like Cas snapped out of a fog, he looked down at Amia for two heartbeats then at us, looking helpless.

"Dean, Sam, how did I get here?"

"Do you not remember? Cas, you practically threw us into the walls to get to her."

"What? No, I do not." He shot us a shocked look before looking down at Amia, who was sleeping peacefully, monkey-wrapped around his arm. There was a small smile on his face before he shook it off and tried to get Amia's arm off of him. When he had finally managed that, she frowned and started whimpering.

Again, she was in his arms. Fricken' cradling her, as he's looking at us for help, "Dean, Sam please, I do not..." He looks down at Amia again and hugs her closer, he had this inner fight with himself for a few minutes until I was tired of it.

Streching out my arms to him, "Here give her to me, and don't look at her or you'll just snatch her back and this will be going on for hours." Cas closes his eyes and sticks his arms out, offering her up as bait. I took her from his hands and brought her close, it was like a light went off, or a damn firecracker. I didn't want to give her up.

I walked up to the bed and layed down, with Amia on top of me, she adjusted until she was comfortable. I didn't want to admit it, but it was better than the best paid bed that I've slept on. It was like a trance, I didn't wake up from it till Sammy shook me.

"Dean, you've been like that for over an hour not moving. Maybe you should take a break." I nodded, realizing how bad my neck had a crick in it and thought I really did need a break.

"Who's gonna take her next? We can't leave her alone, she'll just start screaming or making sad noises til one of us hold her again." I look at Gabriel and Sam, expecting one of them to offer. Damn testosterone battle as those two looked a eachother, almost glaring to see who would come out on top.

"You'll both get a turn, jeez, didn't know she was a toy to be passed around." Like a little doll, I like that, doll. It suited her, she was tiny, fragile, beauti- Hold it! Fifteen, fifteen. She is fifteen years old and illegal to touch.

Gabriel steps back with a smile and extends his arm, "After you." I swear I really want to punch him out sometimes, and when I say sometimes, I mean always.

Sam steps up and motions at me to get up. Nodding, I try to shake her off, but damn she's got a grip for a small girl. It wasn't til I had finally shaken her off, that I realized how weird I felt. There wasn't really a way to describe it, but everything felt off. I look at Sammy with Amia, there was a tightening in my chest, but I brushed it off. Sammy had one arm around her with whole body turned slightly towards her, creating a barrier between them and the world. Amia was curled into his side like a cat, smiling whenever he happened to pet her hair. There was that tightening again. I force myself to look away at the two Angels in the room, more so to Cas. "You felt it too? The weirdness?"

"Yes, it was like there was a tug in my chest when I handed her over, and it seems to occur whenever she smiles at someone other than myself." He still had that dazed look about him, and he was either staring at Amia, or glaring at Sam.

I turn to Gabriel, "I'm guessing you know why this is happening?" Shooting a pointed look that indicated that it be best if he answered.

"Yes, very sadly I do. And part of me wishes I didn't, or at least wasn't apart of it." He breaks and takes a breath, staring his speech. "She is prophetize to bring forth the next great world leader, though it has to be with one of us four. Now let me explain the rest, before you get your Batman panties in a bunch. Because it has to be one of us four, we will, have, or continue to have feelings for her; it doesn't matter if we think it's morally wrong, the feelings will surface and grow. She will have to admit to being in love with at least oe of us by New Year's." Tears are in the corners of his eyes and takes another breath. "This has to happen, and she can't know anything or-" He cuts himself off, not wanting to go further.

Panic sets in my chest like a gigantic anvil, "Gabriel, what will happen if he finds out? We need to know, or when she wakes up I'm going to tell her everything to find out myself."

He looks at me with a mixture of defiance, fear, and tiredness. "Dean-o, if she finds out that she has to fall in love with one us at least, she'll fight, kick and scream and throw us out of her life and force herself to hate us. She'll break her own heart becuase she's terrified of falling in love. And we won't be able to do anything becuase the more we would be near her the more she'd hate us and twist everything we do or say!" He stops and looks at Amia, "if she wanted us gone Dean," he looks back to me, "we would have to so we didn't hurt her, though she always treats herself worse than she did others." He chuckles slightly at this.

We three sat in silence for a few moment, not the four of us because Sammy was still entranced by Amia. Is that really how I was? None of us really wanted to believe that any of that would happen, but what if it didn't? What if she didn't have to fall in love?!

"Gabriel, why does she have to fall in love? We've fought fate and destiny before, so why can't we now?"

"Dean it's not that simp-"

Yes it is. "Of course it is! We can just lea-." The word gets stuck in my throat. "We can set her up with anoth-." Again the phrase gets stuck in my throat.

"Dean, we would probably die before either leaving her for good, or setting her up. And even if we did leave, somehow someway, we'd all show up at the same spot at the same time. And it isn't fate, our buddy Chuck prophetized it. You've dealt with his prophecies, they always come true."

Again silence.

"Well, well, well, the five people I've been trying to hit forever with my little arrows. All in the same room. It's nice watching love bloom, especially when I don't have to do anything." Our heads shot up to the floating woman. Only the Angels recognized her.

"Cupid." Cas said in a confused voice.

"How lovely of you to drop by, although I thought you only worked on the 14th?" Gabriel says, offering her a seat, which she accepts.

Cupid smirks, "I do, but then there's christmas, spring, and other little times that people fall. But I have an intrest in this little dish here." She points her nail at Amia, who quite literally 'mewed'. The sound brought a weird but nice smile to my face.

"Why are you interested in Amia? Cas asked.

Cupid shrugs like it's obvious. "She's one of my old wards. Why wouldn't I check on her?"

I thought Gabriel said that she was terrified of love, why would she be shot with an arrow, unless. Oh shit.

"You've never checked on them before Cupid, so why her? Why now?" Gabriel says trying to keep up his demeanor.

"She's the only one to break the arrow's hold. No one's ever done that, even my mother. And while it was ainful to watch, it was curious, inspiring even. Now she's loving stronger than the average person does knowing someone a week, even for the arrows. And it's with you four that she's like this." She shrugs again.

Not even having time to process what she said, a card gets shoved into my face, "When she's ready, have her call me and I'll apologize." With that she was gone.

Well what do you guys think? Should she wake up, stay asleep? Why is she terrified? Did Dean sound too much like a chick in this? Let me know! Seriously!
