Thank you for reviewing my story. I appreciate it.

This story is being told from Booth's point of view.

I don't own Bones.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Man, I can't believe it. I was on a date with Tessa and I got a call. The dispatcher wanted me to go down to some club, she said my partner had asked that I be located and notified that she needed me at a crime scene.

Bones had gone to a dance club with Angela. They got into some kind of altercation and some guy ended up being shoved into a wall. There was a body, or I should say mummy, behind that wall with a whole lot of meth. Meth that got spilled into the air and into the lungs of the patrons of the club. Yeah, that includes Bones and Angela.

Bones and Angela were high. I mean really HIGH.

I brought Tessa to the club with me so I could see what was going on. That date was definitely over.

While I was trying to calm down Bones a little bit, the owner of the club showed up, a guy named Randall Hall. I asked Hall if he recognized the mummy and he said no.

I tried to get Bones to tell me how the body was mummified; but, she was too wasted. Zach showed up to help process the scene; so, that helped. Bones was practically bouncing off of the walls. At first I thought it was funny; but, after a while, it just started to worry me.

Tessa tried to be cool about the mummy and the antics of Bones; but, I could tell she was uncomfortable so she left. It's not like we could continue our date anyways. I had a job to do and Bones really needed me.

We eventually got the body out of the wall and back to the Jeffersonian. Bones planed on working all night. I guess so. I don't think an elephant would have been able to go to sleep after inhaling what Bones inhaled. I felt sorry for her and Angela. I knew the next day would be really bad.

The next day, Hodgins figured out that the victim had died of asphyxiation. He overdosed on Meth behind the wall.

Bones figured out that with the dry air running behind the wall, it only took about six weeks for the victim to be turned into a mummy. She was kind of excited about this case. This was her first modern mummy. She's weird like that; but, cute too.

I went over to see Bones and I noticed that the hands were missing on our victim. OK, this is bad. Bones cut off the hands. What she did with them was pretty gross. She removed the skin from one of the hands she rehydrated and slipped it over her hand. Like a skin glove. Sometimes my life seems to be like a Vincent Price movie. She then used that skin glove to get the fingerprints of the victim. Makes me a little nauseous just thinking about it.

To take my mind off of what she she was doing to the hands, I told her about a vacation I was planning to take with Tessa. I was thinking about going to Costa Rica. Tessa and I have been dating for a while and we thought it might be fun if we vacationed together. Bones thought it was interesting.

That finger print turned up our victim's name. He was Roy Taylor. Angela said that he was a deejay that went by the name of Deejay Mount.

Bones and I went back to the club. I needed to talk to Randall Hall and Bones wanted to look at the crime scene with Zach.

Hall said that Taylor was involved with drugs. I asked him if Taylor had any enemies. He told me to check out someone named Rulz

I was going over some paper work in my office when Roy Taylor's father came by. He brought a box of things that he wanted me to see. They were things that Mr. Taylor felt showed the good man that his son was. He wanted me to understand that his son was smart, worked hard and didn't do drugs. Mr. Taylor was pretty sure that his son was murdered. I promised him that I would find out what had happened to his son. You could see that Mr. Taylor really loved his son and that he didn't believe that his son was some doped up junkie like the papers said he was.

Mr. Taylor said his son didn't do drugs and the club owner said he did. I believed Mr. Taylor.

In the mean time, Bones and Zach found proof that there was someone else behind the wall with Roy Taylor. They found a charm and brought it back to the Lab. Angela said it was a belly button charm. It had blood and flesh on it so it was torn out. It also was engraved with the words Luv Rulz.

I don't know why anyone would put a hole in their belly button. That sounds painful to me. It also grosses me out that it was torn from someone's body. I have a friend named Pat who's baby caught her little hand in Pat's hoop earing once and tore Pat's ear lobe. Pat said it hurt like a bitch. It didn't look good either.

Bones and her squints figured out that Roy was murdered because of the damage to his mouth and eyes. It's kind of weird how they can figure out stuff like that. Weird in a good way, I mean.

Bones and I decided to talk to Rulz. I considered him a suspect. He admitted to threatening Roy Taylor right before Taylor disappeared. I showed Rulz the belly button charm. He said it belonged to his former girlfriend, Eve Warren. He was pretty rough about how he talked about Eve. He also told me that Eve had a child and that her brother was taking care of that child.

Oh, Bones noticed some scars on Rulz hand. Rulz told us that he had been shot in the wrist a few years ago and he had nerve damage. That's why I need Bones as my partner. I didn't notice the scar.

I tracked down George Warren, the brother of Eve Warren. Bones and I interviewed him in his dance studio.

George gave me a photo of Eve. He said that he didn't bother trying to track her down because of the drugs she took and the people she hung out with. I told him that Roy Taylor was murdered and we couldn't find his sister. He told me that she had given him some money for Maya, her daughter. I bought the money off of him, two dollars for one.

I can understand George. I have my own trouble with Jared. Jared isn't a junkie; but, he does have problems with alcohol. It's maddening the shit that Jared gets into. I worry that he might turn into our father. Most of the time I can't stand to be around Jared. He acts like he doesn't like me most of the time; but, when he gets his ass into a jam, I'm the first one he calls.

Angela worked out a scenario of how Taylor was murdered. The scenario proved that Eve couldn't have killed Taylor; but, she was behind the wall with him. It looked like they were trying to get away from someone.

I had Randall Hall's bodyguard brought in. This Oakes guy was FBI. He was undercover FBI. Turns out Randall Hall is really Terrence Baskins and he pushes meth through his club. Unfortunately, the FBI has had a task force working on Baskins case for 15 months and they still hadn't been able to come up with anything that could stick to the guy.

I talked to Hall again and he told me that Rulz had a studio built around the time that Taylor was killed and Eve came up missing. Yeah, the implication being that Eve was probably under the studio floor. Good luck getting a warrant to tear up a cement floor to look.

Bones had a better idea anyway. Bones knows someone who handles a cadaver dog. His handler, Maggie brought the dog, Tootie, over to Rulz studio to see if the dog could find a body. Tootie found Eve. We got a warrant, had the body taken out of the floor and the squints used dental records to prove that the body was Eve Warren.

Tessa brought over a clean shirt for me at the Jeffersonian. My shirt had dog hair all over it. Angela found out Tessa was there and came over to the lounge to talk to Tessa while I changed my shirt. Tessa and I told her we were going to go to Jamaica for a vacation. We had decided against Costa Rica. Angela started talking about the vacation being some weird pre-shacking up test. I don't think Tessa liked it. I didn't understand it. It seemed like some squinty made up crap to me.

Ok, the squints figured out that Eve died the same way as Taylor did. Angela worked up some scenario on her machine to show how Eve died. It proved that Rulz didn't kill Eve. The nerve damage to his hand and wrist wouldn't have allowed him to push Eve into a wall and jam a bag of meth in her face. Angela is a genius in her own field. She'd have to be, to work where she does.

I decided to talk to Rulz about Eve. That conversation drove Bones nuts. She didn't have a clue what Rulz wanted to cooperate with us; but, I did. I promised to charge Rulz with the murder of Deejay Mount and Eve. He would get the bump for his career and he would tell us what he knew about the murder. I thought Bones was going to have a stroke over that one. Rulz told me that Taylor was going to jump labels. He also told me that Hall was the one that had Rulz's studio built. He was pretty sure the cement floor for the studio was put in the day after Eve and Taylor were killed.

I needed evidence that said that Hall did it; but, we didn't really have any that couldn't be explained away by a really good lawyer. Zach found some weird bone dimple on both Eve and Taylor's bodies. It pissed me off that Hall might get away with two murders. Bones and I went to talk to Hall again. I told him that I knew he had killed Taylor. Bones also accused Hall of killing Eve. I told him his club was going to have to remain an active crime scene. The jackass threatened to sue me for harassment. He then jabbed me with his cane. That is an assault of an Federal Agent. I was angry. I disarmed Oakes after he pulled a gun on me and then I took the cane from Hall. I was going to break it; but, Bones said it was evidence. She wanted Hall arrested so she could have the cane. So I arrested Hall.

Brennan had Hodgins and Zach do a little experiment with the cane that proved that the cane was what left the bone dimple on the victims. The district attorney filed charges against Hall. That took the smirk off of Hall's face.

That also ruined that 15 month Federal investigation of Hall. Too bad. Mr. Taylor was satisfied that justice was done for his son. That's what's important. Roy Taylor and Eve Warren got justice. If Hall is in jail for murder he can't push drugs anyway so it was a win win as far as I was concerned.

Tessa backed out of our vacation. She said something came up at work. I think she's breaking up with me. I don't know what I did to cause it though. I'll probably never know. I really don't understand what women want. I try; but, apparently I'm clueless. Pops said not to worry about it. Shit happens. It just seems it happens too often when I'm involved.

I went on vacation without Tessa. Before I left, I kind of hinted at Bones that she should come with me. You know, to make sure I came back. Either she didn't get the hint or she wasn't worried about me being alone on vacation. It was probably both. I would have liked it if Bones had come with me on the vacation. It would have been interesting. I really don't like going on vacation by myself.

I found out that its real easy to gamble when you're on vacation. No meetings, no sponser, a little boredom. I got into a poker game and lost four hundred and sixty two dollars. All I can say is, I'm going to double up on meetings for the next few weeks.

Oooooooooooooooooooo

I hope you didn't think this was too wordy. My idea for this story is that when Booth started writing in his diary, he wasn't sure what he could do with it. As the weeks go by he grows confident that any comments he makes are safe to do as he is the only reading this diary.
