Later on in the day, Bellatrix and Hermione sat in silence in the sitting room. Bellatrix sat reading a book on dark magic. It was entitled; 'What You Didn't Know About Dark Magic'. Every once in a while, Bellatrix would make a comment such as, "I already knew that!" or "That spell is easy!" but for the most part, it was completely silent. Hermione guessed it had to do with that mornings events. On the other hand, the young Gryffindor was reading "Hogwarts: A History" for probably the thousandth time. She could almost recite each line of the book by heart. The brunettes copy was very worn by the amount of times she had read it. It even had a few pages missing.
"Bellatrix…?" Hermione suddenly broke the silence. She let her book drop into her lap.
"Yes, dear?" Bellatrix replied, not even bothering to look up from her book.
"Are you mad? It seems...out of character for you to forgive so easily." Hermione's voice was soft, as if not to anger the raven-haired woman farther.
"I am a bit, I must admit. But the truth is… I can't lose you." Bellatrix looked at Hermione finally and giving her a reassuring smile. But the smile was forced. "You're the only chance at love I have."
"What about Rod?" Hermione asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh please! I hate the bastard. The whole thing was arranged to begin with. We both despise each other. Thats why we don't have children, we hate each other too much to fuck."Bellatrix laughed, moving across the room to sit beside Hermione. She softly picked up Hermione's hand left and encased it with both her hands. "Besides, I'll yell at Narcissa later. I love you too much to let her shit get between us."
Hermione smiled and kissed her lover on the lips softly. "Good, because I don't want to lose you." She kissed Bellatrix again, but Narcissa slipped into her mind. Do I have feelings for Narcissa? I can't possibly. I can't. She tried to hide the fact she was thinking of Narcissa's lips against her own, but she couldn't shake it.
Bellatrix tried to relax against Hermione's soft lips, but she couldn't. The dark witch knew Hermione was thinking of Narcissa. She hated it. It infuriated her.
Suddenly, Bellatrix pulled away, and stood up. "I really can't do this right now. I'm gonna go for a stroll, all by myself. I'll be back later." With that, Bellatrix walked to the door, opened it and closed it behind herself.
The sound of the door closing echoed in the now empty house. Hermione was all alone in a house full of lifeless furniture. Hermione suddenly felt all the guilt of what she did. It hurt like hell. It was like being hit in the chest with a brick. It hurt. Her emotions jumbled up inside her and suddenly she felt herself collapse on the sofa and sob. Hermione sat there, sobbing, for a good fifteen minutes before she knew what to do.
She wiped the tears off her red-rimmed eyes. Hermione quickly scribbled a note to Narciss.
Dear Narcissa Malfoy,
It is Hermione. Please come back to the manor so we can sort all this out. I must talk to you ASAP. Bellatrix is not here at the moment, so we can talk in private.
-Hermione Jean Granger
She walked into the small owl shed outside, letter in hand. Taking Bella's owl in her hands, she set the black owl on a table and tied the letter onto the owls leg. "Take it to Cissy." she whispered to the beautiful creature before it soared off to find Narcissa. Hermione prayed that Bellatrix would be gone for a while so she could speak to the blonde in private.
No more than fifteen minutes later, Hermione heard a knock on the door. "Coming!" Hermione called, wiping her hands on a rag before running out of the kitchen, and down the hallway. Why would Narcissa bother to knock? She opened the door, not to find Narcissa, but to find a raven-haired boy and a freckled ginger on the door-step.
They looked at her like she was the greatest thing in the universe The two boys were surprised to find her alive, let alone allowed to roam the manor freely. All of them were stunned silent. "Harry? Ron?" Hermione's eyes were so very wide. This couldn't possibly get weirder. The brunette was proven wrong as Cissy apparated beside the two young men. Narcissa stepped in front of the two boys and kissed Hermione softly.
She invited herself into the home and stepped inside, "I received your letter. What do you need 'Mione?" Narcissa said cooly, offering a sweet smile.
"Cissy?" she exclaimed.
"Cissy!?" Ron shouted wide-eyed. He tried to think of why the hell the two were familiar with each other.
Narcissa walked down the corridor and went into the sitting room, swaying her hips as she went. Hermione let Ron and Harry inside. "THE HELL, HERMIONE?!" Harry screamed.
"Uh, I can explain.." Hermione knew she couldn't explain it in a way that would make a single smidge of sense, but she was gonna try. She offered a smile, but the boys stood there, waiting for explanation.
