Chapter 7: First Comes Love
Jane sneaked in her girlfriend's office and was hiding under the desk while she was working on a body. When Maura came into her office to sit down she felt something touch her leg and kicked and screamed. She looked down when what she kicked responded in a familiar voice "Hey! Watch it, my face is down here!"
"Jane, what on earth are you doing underneath my desk!?" Maura asked
"Well, I wanted to give you a surprise," Jane felt Maura's calf and worked her fingers up to her inner thigh. Maura moaned
"Oh really? Well then I'd really like to see what it is" With that Jane reached up and pulled on Maura's underwear.
"Are you sure?" Jane rasped. She knew Maura hated that.
"Yes Jane, I'm fucking sure!" Jane just smiled and slowly slid the medical examiners pretty pink panties, smelled them and dropped them to the side. With that Maura's breath hitched. She had fantasizes about this before her and her beautiful Italian had gotten together. Now fantasy was becoming reality. Jane pushed Maura's legs open and started to kiss and lick her inner thigh. Maura grasped the arm of her office chair. Jane had reached Maura's peak and was sucking and licking her clit. Maura's head was back, she had her hands over her mouth trying not to scream Jane's name. Jane kept licking and sucking, suddenly stopping, sucking her fingers, then putting them in Maura. Maura sat up in her chair, face flushed beet red. Suddenly Maura heard foot steps,
"Jane... Wait" Maura breathed
"Wh-" Jane was cut off when Maura crossed her legs with Jane still in between them. Jane wiggled her way out and listened to hear why Maura had done that.
"Hey mom," Blake walked in with a smile on his face
Maura answered "Heeyy son," Did he know what was going on? Did he hear her?
"Hey are you ok?" He took another step in the door. With that question Jane flicked Maura's sensitive clit.
"III'm alright." She slapped Jane's arm that was resting on her thigh
"What was that?" Blake asked with concern, stepping closer to the desk
"Oh just dry skin, kind of itchy. So you needed something?" Maura trying to move the conversation along so Jane could finish what she started.
Blake had some question on his face but he ignored it and went on with his conversation. "Oh yeah so I wanted to invite you and AJ to the Dirty Robber tonight, if you guys aren't too busy."
"Blake Edwards!" Jane giggled and covered her face really fast. "Mom, what was that? Really, what was that?" Blake started to freak out, he whispered "Is someone under your desk?" He had his hand on his teaser, Maura couldn't lie.
"Yeah, Jane come out."
"Dang it!" Her lengthy body unfolded from underneath the desk
"Eww! Oh my God! Were you guys going what I think you were doing?" The couple was silent
"Aww man! What the heck!? Here? You guys are like two horny teenagers!" They both laughed
"I'm out of here! I'll see you guys tonight!" Blake left shivering.
Jane was still laughing.
"Babe, I got to get back downstairs, Frost is waiting on me." Jane turned to Maura
"But you're not finished," Maura pouted grabbing both of Jane's jacket lapels, begging her to stay. Jane couldn't resist that face, but she had to today, Frost had to be thinking up a ton of jokes already from her being in Maura's territory so long.
"I know." Jane bended down and gave her a kiss "But I gotta get back to work," She leaned into the blondes ear "I promise I'll finish tonight." Jane purred
"You've got a deal detective," With that Jane headed out of the ME's office.
Seven o' clock rolled around for everyone to meet at the Dirty Robber. Jane and Maura just met there because the could not be left alone together. Frost, Korsack, Jane, and, Maura were all waiting for Blake. "Now this boy called us all here, and he's late!" Korsack scoffed "I'm sure he'll be here any moment" His mother defended him. Moments later Blake walked in with a young lady on his arm. A beautiful dark, curly haired, tall, curvy lady with a precious smile. All the guys stood as the young couple approached.
"Guys, Mom, AJ, this is Nina Martin, my girlfriend. Nina this is Frost, Korsack, Jane, and my mom."
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you all, I've heard so much about you, I feel like I already know you!" Nina and Blake laughed. Everyone else followed.
"Why don't we move to another table since we have another guest?" Jane suggested. Everyone gathered their belongings and headed to a larger table. Once everyone got situated Blake offered to buy a round of drinks for everyone. They all accepted and the young Isles was off to fetch some alcohol. That left Nina alone with people Blake had known his whole life.
"So Nina, how did you meet Blake?" Frost asked
"At the station, I came through one morning for a cup of coffee and we started talking then." She smiled
"Oh that's nice, so what do you do for a living?" Maura asked
"Well, I'm in school right now, I want to be a defense lawyer. Actually, that's why I was at the station the morning I met Blake."
Blake approached Nina from behind laying a kiss on her cheek. "Hey babe, they didn't interrogate you too bad?"
"Of course not! They're all wonderful people!" Nina addressed with confidence. They all smiled and grabbed the drink that belonged to them. Korsack cleared his throat and raised his glass.
"I would like to propose a toast, to Nina and Blake!" Everyone repeated the same "To Nina and Blake!" They clanked there bottles and glasses together in tradition, laughed and got back to the questions.
"So Nina you want to defend the little guy? Why is that?" Korsack asked. Blake shot him a look. Nina comforted him
"No, it's fine. My parents split up my freshmen year of high school. My dad left to pursue another woman. He had always been the breadwinner of the house so the only money my mom had was of the ornaments she sold during Christmas time. She couldn't afford to pay an attorney so, she was stuck settling for whatever my dad gave her. Thankfully, he paid child support and let my mom keep the house. Only problem was the money he gave for child support all went to the rent on the house. My mom had to get two jobs to support us. After that I decided I wanted to go into law so people like my mom wouldn't have to go through the same thing we did. Once I turned 16 I got a job too and worked hard in school. I got a full ride to Cambridge and I still can't believe it!" Maura was misty eyed holding Jane's hand underneath the table.
"Well it's great your going after your dreams!" Frost trying to lighten the mood.
A few hours passed full of laughter and fun.
"We really should get going, I've got to be at the station at 6 tomorrow." Blake announced. They all stood up and said there goodbyes. Blake took his mom and AJ by the hand and lead them off to the side.
"So?" Blake full of excitement in this eyes
"So what?" Jane asked statistically
"So, did you like her?" He asked with a little more serious tone.
"She's a wonderful young lady! I was quite intrigued by her personality!" Maura responded full of delight
"Right. Same here, she was great! Why couldn't you ask us in front of her?" AJ asked
"Well, because I wanted to ask you about this," Blake reached in his pocket and pulled out a black box.
"Those better be earrings!" Jane fumed
"It's a ring, a promise ring. I know we can't get married right now but I do want to marry Nina, someday." The young man had some what of a childlike composer about him.
"Um Blake, when were you planning on giving her this... ring?" His mother questioned nervously. She always had wanted her son to be happy with someone. She never knew who or when but she had never guessed so early. She had only met Nina this evening, she only knew that Nina was a college student who wanted to defend women who could not afford divorce lawyers. The blonde had to find a way to get to know her son's love interest better, before there were little curly head Isles running around.
"Our 6 month anniversary is coming up-"
"6 months! You've been dating Nina for 6 months and your just now introducing her to us!?" Jane fumed.
"Well, AJ, 6 months is when my dad introduced my mom to my grandparents so I thought it was only right to wait until we hit the 6 month mark, keeping tradition." Maura nodded her head in agreement
"You remember that Blake?" Maura asked with intrigue
"Yeah, that's one of the things you'd tell me about dad when I was younger."
The tall brunette took a couple steps closer to her nephew and placed her hand in this shoulder "If that's really how you feel about her then do it! Just make sure she feels the same way." They laughed
"So where are you taking her for this romantic night out?" Maura inquired.
"L'Espalier, that french restaurant downtown?"
"Aww, how fancy! Man you're hot stuff!" AJ laughed, lovingly punching her nephew in the shoulder
The tall, young man just laughed. He would never say it out loud, but he loved when Jane would compliment him.
"Well, I'm just trying to be like you" Blake responded. That choked Jane up a little because she had always tried her best to pour everything she could into her little nephew. Now, he said he wanted to be like her. That was the best thing ever. Jane took Maura's hand into hers.
"Blake, you ready to go babe?" Nina bounced over and asked her boyfriend
"Yeah, hon. One minute." He leaned down and pecked his girlfriend's lips
"Babe, your mom and her girlfriend are right there!" She hit his shoulder.
"It's ok Nina, we changed his diaper, we've seen worse" Everyone but Blake laughed.
"Oh! Ha ha! Really funny mom!" He responded sarcastically to his mom before heading over to give her and Jane bear hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"Aw man! Get off!" Jane joked
"It was a pleasure meeting you both! I had a wonderful time!" Nina told them while giving them hugs.
"Same here! We hope to be seeing you again soon?" Jane responded
"Of course!" With that Blake took Nina's hand and lead her out the bar. Then Korsack, Frost, Jane, and Maura left together. Jane stayed at Maura's for the night. Maura pulled out a glass for a nightcap, along with a beer for her girlfriend.
"So what did you think of Nina, Jane?" Maura asked while opening the brunette's bottle of beer.
"She was great! I love how she feels about her work!" Remembering how her story touched the whole table
"Ok, what about Blake?" Maura asked
"What about him?" Jane asked taking a drink of her beer
"Don't you think he's rushing it a little bit?" The blonde asked pouring her glass of wine
"Well, yeah, maybe a little but he's an adult and gets to make those decisions," Jane responded
"That's true, its just that I don't want him to get hurt" Maura grabbed her glass and headed to the couch
"Maur, their not getting married right now, their just life planning. That's your baby and if your anything like Ma I know you want grandkids and this is the way to get em!" Jane following her to the couch, Maura laughing
"Hmm, I hadn't thought of it that way. I guess that's true." Maura a little more assured about her son's situation
"That's what I'm hear for!" Jane pronounced, they both laughed out loud. There was a short moment of silence
"How do you feel about marriage?" Maura asked Jane, breaking the silence.
"Well for me personally, I've only thought about it once," It was hard for the tough Italian to bring up the past love of her life, Casey. Who left her for his career. She wasn't upset about it now, but it took awhile for that wound to heal. "That didn't go too well, but if someone came along that I could not live without, it would definitely be on my mind." Jane said holding the woman that could very well be the person she was just describing hand tighter with the end of that statement.
"For others I think it's great, especially if it's what they want, and they truly love one another." Jane said staring into those hazel eyes.
"Enough about me, what about you Maur? How do you feel about marriage?" Jane asked in her best psychologist voice.
"Well I think it's a beautiful thing and I would love to do it again." Maura smiled knowing Jane was catching her drift. If Maura ever married again it would be to the love of her life, Jane Clementine Rizzoli.
