Tribe of Rushing Water
Are you cold, perhaps, in the highest peaks of the mountains?
Maybe the icy snow or the frozen cave walls are too much?
Aged the mountain is by weary time, but it will forever
Stand tall until it becomes one with the rocky terrain below.
But us, the Tribe whom is none like the Clans, are happy here.
Beside the paw-chilling weather and loud-whistling winds.
Yet most of all, the thing we live by, the rushing waterfall.
Can you hear the washing of the droplets quickly falling?
The clear echo ringing, inherited from cracking Father Ice?
Step behind and let us greet you into our caves of comfort.
These paved walls, brushed by our passing ansectors
Remind us of the heritage that lies within the stone heart
Of these magnificent mountains.
The cats around us;family by blood, either old or young
Hunter, guard, or stone teller, but still kindred nether less.
We are a tribe, not a clan, for we face more danger and hardship
Than the ordinary border skirmish over stolen prey.
Our meal hunts the hunters too, for it is what it is:
A circle of life.
Sent by the endless sky itself, tawny wings blott out the sun and
Paint clawed shadows along the ground.
If well planned, the Tribe gets it's food and meat,
If not, the talons of the eagles and hawks feeds instead.
Though not many know of the way
How the Tribe came to how we are today.
First inhabitants of the lake the warriors now call home,
Journeyers to the peaks of the mountains,
And then some travelers, forming the Clans.
Distant kin may be in Tribe and Clan,
But all is forgotten for the midst of our history.
Yet we lie strong like always,
Behind the water falls, and stone cave walls,
Is where we live, where we belong.
Where we will always be,
Hidden behind the great pouring water,
That sings down at us and strokes our pelts.
We are the Tribe, far from the other Clan cats,
Yet closer to the sky than any of the other cats,
where the Tribe of Endless Hunting lies watching.
Hope you enjoyed, updates for Fury's First Life will be out soon.
