Inari remove herself from his lap then push him a little.
"Really? Why did you push me?" Tezuka asked.
"Be lucky I didn't slap you. How can you leave tomorrow? Kunimitsu you said you had three more days left before you go."
He looks away.
"I know but I guess Kakeru wants to get started early. He thinks if I train there instead of here. A certain someone won't interrupt me."
He looks up at her while she stare at him.
"A certain someone? I know you're talking about me. God... I can't stand your manager. He always does this. Doesn't he know you're married?"
"Yes and you should know by now that my job is playing Tennis. Kakeru is just doing what a manager is supposed to do. I just wish you would respect what I do and Just deal with it."
"I do respect what you do but do you have to keep leaving?"
"How many times do I have to tell you? What I do is my job. When you're doing overtime at work do I tell you to come home early to spend time with me? No, because I know you can't. If I have a match taking place in another country then that's where I'm going to go. I have been doing this before I met you and I'm not going to change."
"I know..."
Inari averts her gaze looking disappointed. Tezuka sigh.
"Inari, please don't make that face. I would love to be here with you but I can't. Now stop pouting, fix your face and just deal with it."
She nods. "Okay. Well, if you are leaving then just go. I'm sorry I'm being selfish." She walks away.
"Inari I'm not leaving tomorrow."
She turns back around. "What? But your manager said you have to to."
"I know but every time he tells me to do something I don't have to do it. I hired him remember?" She nods. "Besides, I'm not leaving here with you angry at me. I don't want to come back home to see that you left me again. Like you did for a year."
"Relax I only left you for nine months."
"It felt like a year. I cancelled my flight so I'm going to spend the whole day with you."
Inari smile while clapping her hands. "Yay..."
"But after that, no more. The next day I'm leaving Japan okay?" Inari nods. "Is me spending whole day with you good enough? Or do you want me to cancel the whole tournament?"
"Cancel the whole tournament."
Tezuka scowls at her. Inari laughed.
"I'm joking so stop giving me that angry look. You can go to your little tournament."
"Thank you. I love you." Tezuka held her in his arms. "I love you too."
The next day Inari and Tezuka walks the street holding hands. She has a smile on her face as she walks with her husband.
"Are you satisfied now?" He asked.
"Yup." Smile then took a bite of a large soft cookie.
"I don't get you. I have seen women get happy when their spouse buys their lover expensive things. But you, you're happy when I buy you food to stuff in your mouth."
She laugh. "I sure do." She bit into a donut. "Well, now you know that I'm not a gold digger and the only way you can make me happy is by giving me your time and some food."
Tezuka shook his head.
"I choose a weirdo for a wife."
Inari laugh then snorted.
"But that's why I love you. Stay weird."
She laughs again. Still walking Tezuka pulls her close to him, leans down then press his lips onto hers.
"Kunimitsu I can't see where I'm going. You need to-AH!"
He smother her in kisses then went straight for her lips again. Inari laugh.
"Get a room you two."
Tezuka and Inari looks straight ahead seeing his friends walking towards them.
Tezuka acknowledge them with a nod while Inari waves.
"Hey. What are you guys up to?"
"We're on our lunch break. Why aren't you two at work?" Momoshiro asked.
"I can edit games demo's at home." Inari answered.
"Tezuka I thought you left today for a tournament?" Oishi asked.
"The game doesn't start until next week. I was suppose to leave early to train but I had to cancel my flight because someone, didn't want me to leave."
"Again Inari?" Fuji asked.
"Yes, again. And Kunimitsu. You told me that the tournament is this week. Now all a sudden it's next week?"
"I thought it was this week but I guessed wrong."
"You're a liar. You knew it was next week. You just wanted to leave me."
"What are you talking about?"
She sigh. "Fucking stoic liar." Inari mumbled while walking away.
"Inari!"
Tezuka sigh as he watch her walk away. He scratch his head while wondering what the hell just happened?
"How did the argument start again?" Oishi asked.
"I don't know. I see you guys later."
Tezuka ran to catch up to Inari.
She walks down the street angry while mumbling to herself. Her heels made a loud clicking sound on the sidewalk as she stomps her feet.
"Liar. Such a damn liar. Ooh I just want to take my hands and snap his stupid glasses in half."
Tezuka ran to her. "Inari! Inari!
"What?"
"What's wrong?"
"What? Are you serious? You don't even know what's wrong with me."
"Are you mad because you thought I lied to you about when I'm leaving?"
"You did lie to me."
"No. I was told to leave early so I can train. I didn't know Kakeru lied about when the tournament date. I knew nothing about it. When I found out yesterday I decided to cancel my flight to spend the day with you. I apologize for not telling you. How can I make this up to you?"
Inari cross her arms looking angry.
"You can't."
"Okay. I understand."
Tezuka digs into a bag, pulls out an item then puts it in front of her face.
"I guess I have to eat this Cheese burger by myself."
Inari gasp. She turns to him with her eyes widen. He sigh.
"I wish I had someone to share these two burgers with."
He sigh again. "Can I have it...?" She asked pouting with teary eyes.
"Really? You want to share these burgers with me?" Inari nods. "Okay..."
Tezuka tries to hand it to her but he pulls it away. "Huh?" She asked, wondering why he just did that.
"I would love to share these with you but you're angry at me. I don't like it when my wife is pissed. What can I do to make you happy again?"
"Just give me those burgers and will call it even."
"Okay."
"Yay!" She tries to grab the bag but he pulls it away again. She frown.
"Kiss first. Then cheeseburger."
"Okay..."
Tezuka wraps his arms around her then kiss her on the lips.
While walking home Tezuka and Inari walks down the street. When they were getting ready to turn the corner a woman came out a store then look their way. She stares at the couple because one of them looks familiar.
"T-Tezuka?"
When he heard a voice call his name he turns around.
"Tezuka. You're, Tezuka Kunimitsu right?"
"Yes."
The woman laugh. "Wow... It's been so long."
Inari stares at the woman looking curious. She wonders how does she know Tezuka? Of course he's a known tennis player, but is he related to her or something?
"You still look the same."
Tezuka tilts his head to the side. He stares at the woman but nothing came to his memory.
"I'm sorry but, who are you?"
"Y-You, don't remember me?"
(Who is this woman? She's very pretty, slim with beautiful skin. She has a nice face, she's tall and looks very smart. She looks better than me. Damn even her heels look better than mines.) Inari thought.
"I'm sorry but no. I have no clue who you are."
"Oh, well I guess I can't blame you for not remembering. It was back in high school."
Tezuka looks away then try's to remember. "High School?" He asked.
"Let me give you a hint. I want you to quit playing Tennis."
Tezuka narrow his eyes. He looks angry.
"Oh, it's you."
"Ha-ha. You? That's not my name."
"I don't care what your name is."
"I see you remember me now."
Inari pulls on Tezuka's sleeve.
"Kunimitsu, Who is she?"
"No one important."
"Oh really Tezuka? I'm not important? You're still heartless. Hi I'm Sueyo. Tezuka's old classmate from high school."
Inari tries to shake her hand but he stops her.
"Don't." He told Inari. "Why not?"
"It's nice to meet you too." Sueyo told her.
"Kunimitsu I didn't know you had a female best friend."
"She is not. My best friend. Come Inari, let's go. Bye Sueyo."
Tezuka grabs Inari hand then walks away fast.
"Wait, Kunimitsu slow down."
"Really Tezuka? That's how you talk to your ex-girlfriend?" Sueyo said.
Inari eyes widen. She stops walking causing Tezuka to look back at her.
"E-Ex-girlfriend? Who? Her?"
Inari snatch her hand away then points to Sueyo.
"You told me you never had a girlfriend in your whole life Kunimitsu."
"Really? So you just erased me from your past? I'm hurt by what you had done. I guess those days in high school meant nothing to you?"
"Exactly. Dating you for three days was nothing. I had no feelings for you."
"I'm shocked by your words. You haven't changed a bit Tezuka. You're still that same mean stoic man who is obsessed with Tennis. He can only last three days with a woman. You're his girlfriend now. I wonder how long can he last with you?"
"I'm not his girlfriend. I'm his wife. And I put with him for four years." Inari answered.
"Wow, I'm very impressed, You got married Tezuka. That's one thing that's different about you. I'm surprised your marriage last for four years."
"I'm surprised too."
Tezuka glares at Sueyo then grabs Inari hand again.
"Let's go. We'll talk about this at home."
"No. I want to hear what she got to say. If I ask you questions, you might lie to me."
"I won't lie."
"Yes you will. Why didn't you tell me about her?!"
"It was a long time ago. Before I met you. She means nothing to me. She haven't before and still doesn't."
Sueyo sigh. "Look, I'm not trying to get in between you and your husband. I have a fiancé of my own." Sueyo shows them her ring. "I just wanted to talk to an old friend. Now that I see your doing good. I'll leave you alone. You have a beautiful wife Tezuka. Make sure you take care of her."
"Trust me, I always do. Let's go Inari."
He grabs her hand. "But Kunimitsu-"
"Don't argue with me. I'll tell you everything you need to know when we get home."
Tezuka pulls her closer to him then walk away. Inari looks behind her seeing Sueyo waving goodbye. She sigh then walking home with her husband without saying a word.
