Epilogue

"That sounds great Bev. Yes, we can meet you and Lauren at the park right around one. Okay, awesome, you too. Bye." I finally manage to get off the phone with Bevin, who to this day some eight years after she so sneakily brought Brittany and I back together for good, is still my second best friend in the whole world.

We're such good friends, in fact, that Bevin was actually the maid of honor at my wedding six years ago, and I turned around and ended up being hers when she married her wife Lauren. After a year of marriage, they had an adorable little boy who now just turned three and I, well, I have everything I could have ever hoped or dreamed of.

A sound catches my ear from down the hall and I look around for my wife but see that she is nowhere to be found. Realizing the sound is coming from our room, I shake my head in humor at the fact I probably know who's making the noises.

I'm quiet when I push the door to my bedroom open just wide enough to look towards the vanity that rests in the corner. I can't fight back the smile when I spot the little girl, her dark hair in pigtails that her mommy undoubtedly braided for her, attempting to pull her smaller frame up onto the chair that rests in front of the vanity.

She manages without a hitch. I'm not surprised because it isn't the first time.

I'm about to make my move to intervene when I see her reach her tiny hand out to the jewelry cluttered on the vanity surface, tongue poking out in a manner I'm familiar with on a much older adorable girl, and eyebrows scrunched in concentration until she finds the box she's looking for and reaches inside.

After pulling the diadem that's been in her family for decades out of the safety of its box and sliding back on the ground to stand up straight and look in the mirror, I watch the little girl lift the headpiece to her hair and place it upon her head. She stomps her foot in protest when it's too big for her head and slides down half of her face.

Before I can utter a word, I watch another figure, blonde, tall, amazingly toned and still stunning as ever, sweep out of the master bedroom's en suite bathroom. She moves quickly to the little girl and I watch as she wraps her arms around a tiny waist and lifts the girl into the air, planting a series of kisses against her tan cheek.

My heart flips in awe as I hear the most beautiful shrieks of laughter leave that little girl's mouth and the blonde haired blue eyed woman I'm lucky enough to call my wife sets our daughter Addie's, short for Adeleigh, feet back on the ground, kneeling so she's eye level with those already pleading brown eyes.

She may have gotten the eyes from me, but that pleading eye pout is all Brittany.

"Listen here buttercup," I hear Brittany speak softly, her voice always soothing and calm. "What has your mama and I told you about getting into the jewelry box without asking?"

"But…" a protest leaves those quivering lips.

"No buts baby girl, you know the rules. You're just lucky it was me that caught you this time."

I can't help but smile at Brittany's cuteness, because I know she knows I'm watching. She always does.

"But I just want you and mama to tell me the princess story again."

I can't stand being an observer to the perfectness of my family any longer, and at Addie's words I push into the bedroom and glance in her direction, hands on my hips.

"Did I hear someone call my name?"

Addie's face lights up as much as Brittany's and she bounces in her mommy's arms, her own tiny arms stretched out towards me to urge me closer.

"Mama! Mama!" she exclaims until I get closer, kneeling down to be at her level as well and leaning over to place a kiss on Brittany's cheek before she surprise attacks me with a chaste kiss to my lips that makes my mind fuzzy for a second. I look at her intent on scolding but the mischievous glint in her eyes and sultry wink makes me forget all about what I may have been intending on scolding her for.

I shake my head and turn back to our daughter.

"Hey sweetie, how about this? After your bath, Mommy and I will tell you all about the princesses and how they had a baby girl who is growing up to be the best princess of them all."

Addie's eyes widen in delight and she nods her tiny head as furiously as it allows. She's careful as she removes the diadem from her head and hands it to me before placing a kiss to both her mommy's and my cheek. Once we signal her the okay, she's quick to skip, not run because she knows she's not allowed, out of the bedroom and towards her room at the end of the hall.

I'm still smiling when I stand up and put the diadem back in it's custom box before I turn to face Brittany and notice the adoring look that's reflected on her face.

I feel my cheeks heat in bashful embarrassment. All this time and Brittany can still make me feel like a little schoolgirl with a crush.

All these years and she's still beautiful and amazing as ever.

"I thought I was your princess." She jokes, reaching out to poke me lightly in the side before wrapping her arms around my waist and tugging me, sideways, into her embrace where I can feel the small bump low in her stomach. Brittany's lips press into my clothed shoulder and her breath leaves her lips in a content hum.

I smile back at her, playful look in my eyes before shifting around so it's me holding her in my arms, her back to my front, my hands slipping under her shirt to brush across the swollen area I find there. My own lips descend to her exposed collarbone, pressing a wet and sensual kiss there.

"I'm sorry to say Mrs. Lopez but you're not the princess of my heart anymore." I tell my wife as I continue to press kisses to her neck and collarbone and my hands slide down the backs of her own, my fingers dipping through the gaps that hers leave and holding them tightly. The metal bands on our left ring fingers reminding me again and again, how lucky I am.

I hear Brittany uncharacteristically scoff before she turns around in my arms and gives me her most effective glare. It doesn't do much more than make me smile at how damn adorable she is. I giggle lightly and cup her cheeks drawing her into a kiss as she tries to pull away fro m me, "Because I've got one princess in my life and the Queen of my whole world right here in my arms carrying our next little princess or prince."

I watch in amazement as Brittany's dazzling smile spreads across her lips and then she rolls her sparkling blue eyes.

"You're such a cheese ball." She says but then her lips are pressing to mine.

When she pulls back slightly, her hands still tangled in my hair, and her soft lips still brushing lightly against my own she murmurs against them, "But you're still mine and that's okay."

I pull her into me and wrap my arms protectively around her, touching my lips to her hair and inhaling softly. My life turned out better than I ever could have imagined, but one thing stayed the same.

I got to be with Brittany in the end, and finally start a life with her.

I feel her exhale against the crook of my neck, her fingers finding their way under the hem of my shirt to drift across the skin of my lower back. The gentle wisps of her fingers, and the patterns she's tracing are a clear indication of exactly what's on my pregnant, and exceptionally energized, wife's mind.

I swallow to try and coat the dryness that has suddenly made itself present in my throat and open my mouth intending on making a sexy suggestion when the sweetest little giggle in the world comes echoing into the room and I'm reminded about certain tasks I actually have to attend to before other ones that I really want to attend to.

"I'm always yours Britt, proudly so," I tell her as we both pull back slightly and Addie attaches herself to both of our legs, her big brown eyes gazing up at me and taking my breath away. Brittany kisses me on the cheek and nuzzles her nose into the skin.

"I know San," she whispers. "Now how about we go get our daughter into her bath so we can tell her that story you promised?"

Addie nods furiously and lifts her arms up to me until I reach down and scoop her up.

"Okay munchkin, let's go have some story time and I'll tell you all about how the most stubborn princess in the land ended up marrying one of the most awesome princesses and they ended up having the perfect royal family in all of the kingdom."

There you have it! Thank you all for joining us on this little journey of ours, it was a blast working together and writing this for you all and we're both really excited that you liked it enough to read it!

Feel free to leave some thoughts about the story! Also, any ideas you might like to see in future one-shots we'd be willing to write! Thank you all again so very much! R&J

Blueskkies: We know your pain friend! That's the main reason we wrote this story, because we know Glee is most unlikely to deliver something similar! We're very happy that you enjoy it! Thanks so much for taking the time to read and review!

Guest (for Chap. 6): I think you pretty much just said exactly what we're all sort of thinking and hoping for! If only Glee can get things together and actually deliver something that is meaningful and beautiful and right. That's what we're asking. Thank you for dropping by, reading, and sharing your thoughts! Brittana forever!

Lauren H 91: Youuuuuu *points and offers a thumbs up* no youuuuuu! Would it make you feel any better if we told you that we were sniffling with Brittana feels when we wrote this? And we promise to revive you if you happen to die again! (Be safe and read safe!) As always Lauren, thank you so much for your super kind and awesome words!

GabrielaSnixx: Thank you! That's really awesome that you think so because we were definitely aiming for that! Thanks for reading and reviewing. We hope you enjoyed the Epilogue!

Chuckleshan: I'm sure that J agrees with me Shan, your reviews never fail to blow my mind! You always leave such long and detailed reviews and it really really means a lot! You're always very invested and awesome and kind! To address some things you said; I think the length with which the two of them had to spend apart was made bearable because of their devotion/love and the fact that they did still see each other on a somewhat regular basis. Also, we can't thank you enough for your compliments and the fact that the parts you loved so much were the ones that really hold a special place in or Brittana hearts. Especially the line about Santana getting the diadem from her mom (and the fact that you connected the symbolism there!) It was always meant to work out, they just had to communicate and really want it! So thank you so very much Shan for reading and reviewing and flailing with us and all the rest of the awesome Brittana fans! We are very thankful for that!

AlabamaMiles: We're really happy you loved this story. From beginning to end you've read each chapter and let us know what you've thought—and that's amazing! It's been a pleasure to write it—especially when loyal readers like you stick around!

Luceroadorada: Yeah, that bartender wins all sorts of awards for his perfect words and perfect timing. Wouldn't we all like to have one of those in real life? I sure would :) We're glad the flashbacks made you happy and showed off their cuteness. And, as always, thanks for reading!

Fruith: One of the best parts of writing this has been the ability to explore how we feel Brittana would really handle a long distance relationship. And we both agreed that Brittana, 'soulmates so to speak', would always find a way to be together and love and support each other. Brittana is always endgame and we're ecstatic to have faithful Brittana readers and supporters! You can always count on us to help melt your Brittana heart :)

LeighKelly: And by 'hate' you really mean 'love to the nth degree' right? The fact that you stayed up past your bedtime to read this is awesome! And we're pretty excited that we made you cry (not really, but kinda… We've gotta earn back those 800,000 points somehow) because of all the Brittana love. Seriously though, one of the best parts about writing this story is seeing reactions like yours—because we can relate to that side of their love story. We can see how in love they are and we're all just wishing for the best even through life's ups and downs. That's the Brittana we know and love. And it's really awesome that you can see that Brittana in this story, too. Thanks for being awesome as always, LK!

Piccolodian: Bev was a little sneaky last chapter, wasn't she? We hope the epilogue helped explain why she was acting the way she was. In the end, Bev was just a huge Brittana shipper helping them stay the course and make it home safely. Go Bev! And go YOU for reading and liking the story! We hope you liked the epilogue as well :)

And many, many thank yous to all that read and review this last chapter! We would be honored to hear your thoughts!
