OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS! MUCH APOLOGIES! Sorry I'm late, but I'm moving to a new house, and you won't even believe how much pain packing is. Also, I just published another story… not really a lot of free time this week for me. But, you guys are awesome, so I tried to make time! Enjoy!

Me no own the Teen Titans.

"Yo, E!" Derby strode into the computer room, munching on an apple.

"Hm?" Ellie grumbled. She was currently researching Pink Elephants and other dimensions. Nothing so far.

"I have a question about your eyes." Derby said bluntly.

"What?" Ellie lifted her head and turned around.

"So, are they contacts or what? A mutation or something?" Derby pointed.

"Why do you care?" Ellie said defensively. She hated when people pointed it out- literally and figuratively.

Derby blinked. "Just asking."

"They're real, if you really need to know." She huffed. "Now, I'm busy. Go talk to Mark."

"Nah, he's not much of a conversationalist. What are you researching?"

Ellie wheeled back around to the screen and sighed. "…I'm trying to find something about that guy I saw. He said something about 'other dimensions'."

Derby pulled up a chair. "Maybe he's just crazy."

Ellie kept clicking and typing.

"Hey, you two would get along great!" Derby playfully slugged Ellie's shoulder.

"That's not funny." The brunette rubbed the pain.

"I'm just joking. Hey, why don't you try typing in 'String Theory'?" Derby proposed.

"What? How do you know about that?" Ellie questioned, her eyebrows raised.

Derby crossed her arms. "I'm not as dumb as I look, E. Go on,"

Ellie's eyes widened as hundreds of sources popped up on the screen. One particular link talked about strange, abnormal animal sightings.

"See, now we're getting somewhere!" Derby cheered. She slid off her seat and began to leave as Ellie clicked furiously on all tabs.

Derby popped her head in the doorway. "Oh, and you're welcome."

"I've got it!" Ellie shouted as she ran into the living room. Mark coughed and choked on his popcorn.

"Shh! We were just getting to the good part!" Derby turned her head back to the television screen.

"This is important! I've found out who that guy is. Look-"

"Shh! The movie!" Derby shushed Ellie harshly as she whacked Mark's back.

Ellie let out a frustrated growl, her shoulders hunching.

"Um, what did you find, Ellie?" Mark asked once he composed himself.

Ellie's shoulders loosened. "Okay, look," She sat down next to her teammates and showed them the file.

"I was looking at a site dedicated to people who think they've witnessed things from other dimensions."

Derby snorted.

Ellie glared. "…And I found this post." She held up a paper. "This witness said they saw a cloaked man, who seemed to be able to teleport and make things disappear."

"That… sounds like what you saw." Mark said hesitantly.

"What's wrong?" Ellie asked.

"It's just- anyone could make that post, right? I mean, maybe we should investigate more."

Ellie's hands tightened. "Fine, but you all have to help me."

"Ugh, work makes me gassy." Derby whined.

Ellie stood up. "Don't be childish, Derby."

Mark followed Ellie to the computer room. "Okay, so what do we need to do first?"

"I found four other witness testimonies. You need to highlight anything in them that don't match up with the others."

"I can do that, I think." Mark sat down in a plastic chair.

"And Derby-?" Ellie turned around. She sighed and marched to the living room.

"Derby! Get your lazy butt to the computer room!" Ellie yelled, exasperated.

This was going to take a while.

Three hours into researching, the small group had already found a few promising sources, but still nothing on how to actually find the stranger.

"Where's Mark?" Derby asked after lifting her head up from a short nap.

"Bathroom." Ellie answered absentmindedly. Suddenly, she perked up and her multicolored- eyes widened. "Derby, look! This tells us how-" There was a strange whirling sound, and every light in the room dissipated.

"A blackout?" Derby yelled in the darkness.

"Not again…" Ellie said to herself.

The sound of a door whooshed open. "What happened? Another blackout?" Mark's voice called out.

"Yeah, just as we were about to find something, too." Ellie groaned.

Silence.

Ellie cursed. "Arrgh! We were so close! We almost had it! A-all this work, g-gone! Stupid!" She kicked the metal desk, causing her to yell out again.

"You mean you didn't save anything?" Mark asked, his voice even.

"Only that one file! This is s-so freakin' dumb!" She screamed.

Derby sighed. "I wonder how we'll ever find him now…"

Suddenly, the lights flickered back on. A serious face stood in the doorway.

"You called?"
