Hey long time no update! Sorry about that. But I'm on summer vacation now. I'll try to post more when my job and ideas permit. Hope you all enjoy!
I flopped into bed exhausted. I curled under the sheets ready to just fall asleep. It came quickly thankfully.
I awoke to, two different people bouncing on my bed.
"Five more minutes," I moaned.
"Come on Merlin! You need to get up, we need to make planes!" An over excited Morgana squealed. I sat up with a small shriek. At the end of my bed sat an apologetic Gwen. Where as beside me sat a bouncing Morgana.
"Just, um, just let me get dressed first." Attempting to get out of bed didn't go as well as I had hoped. The blankets had tangled around me, causing me to fall flat on my face.
"Oww."
"Are you alright My Lady?" Gwen hurried over and helped me stand, on now, soar legs.
"I'm alright Gwen, just let me get dressed." I quickly took off behind the changing scream after grabbing the first dress I saw.
I came back out in a Sky blue dress with forest green accents. The sleeves ended just past my elbows, and it was a very flowy skirt.
"Perfect, now lets go." Morgana grabbed hold of my hand and began to drag me to who knows where.
"Morgana, I still have bed head!" That stopped her in her tracks.
"Not on my watch you don't." I was then dragged back to my room where she proceeded in doing my hair. Once she was finished it was left in a small bun on the right side of my head. She then decided to drag me out again.
We ended up in the back gardens with both of our mothers to begin planning.
"I think that white lilies and red roses would look the best together. We could have them all over the great hall along with Merlin's bokeh," Morgana began.
"What about the dress? I was thinking a plain white satin dress," mom contemplated.
"No, no, no! It should be extravagant," Ygraine explained.
"Umm, don't I have a say?" I asked hesitantly.
"Oh of course dear." They all looked at me expectantly. Oh I wish I was with Arthur right now.
"I like the flower idea. I think they will look lovely together. I want my dress to have blue and red embroidery on it in flowers. For both our kingdoms to be represented. But I don't want them to be to flash either. Just a simple vail will do since my tiara will make it look more extravagant as it is. The blue and something new will be in my dress. For something borrowed I was hopeing that I would be able to use the jewelry that you used on your wedding mom. And something old is the ring since it was Arthur's grandmother's ring," I explained.
"That sounds apostoly amazing darling!" Ygraine gushed.
"Now onto colours!"
"Shouldn't Arthur be here for this?" I moaned.
"No, he doesn't need to be here I don't think." Morgana put on a fake thinking face. I sigh escaped my lips. I just wanted to go practice magic.
"The colours should just be the kingdom colours. Red, gold, blue and silver. They all go well enough together and it shows a merging of the two as well. And since I know one of you will be bringing up food next heres what we were thinking. Roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, veggies with butter and bread rolls with butter."
"That sounds good. But what about dessert?" Mother asked.
"Well there will be the wedding cake obviously. What about some little finger pastries filled with chocolate and some sort of pudding? Knowing the chef they will be adding more to both lists anyways," I shrugged. Morgana gave a nod of approval.
"Oh we didn't write any of this down!" Another tired sigh left my lips and I waved my hand, letting a list of everything we talked about aper in the air. Morgana gracefully stood, dusting invisible debris from her dress.
"Now to go get you measured and to the seamstress!" She grabbed my hand and pulled me up, dragging me behind her. I shot pleading looks to both women behind me but they simply ignored it.
She had dragged me through out the castle to get towards the main doors. She dragged me out the doors and down the steps, my legs barely keeping up with her. I looked around trying to find anything to save me. The fates must have been on my side since Arthur and the knights were coming back from training.
"Help!" I called over. His head immediately snapped in my direction and his face met mine. He rushed over and detached Morgana from me.
"Are you alright love?" I nodded and closed my eyes, giving him a small smile. When I opened them again, his face my red.
"Arthur, let her go. We need to go to the seamstress. After all the wedding is in two weeks" Morgana didn't look happy.
"What?" Arthur looked shocked. I probably did as well.
"I guess I should probably go then."Kissing Arthur on the cheek I, sadly, left with Morgana.
It didn't take long to get there, it was a small shop with beautiful dresses in the window. Mogana opened the door, letting the small bell chime. A woman getting on in years stood behind the counter, her graying hair pulled into a high, tight bun.
"Princess Morgana, what can I do for you today?"
"Good afternoon Edna, I need you to make a dress for my future sister-in-law." Edna's eyes swept me up and down, examining quickly came out from behind the counter and grabbed my wrist.
"Come, I need to measure you," she instructed. She soon made me stand on a small cushioned stood and took out her measuring tape. Writing down every measurement on a small piece of paper, she would quickly change to the next one.
It took her a good hour before she saw fit to let me get off the stood.
"What were your thoughts on the design?"
"I was hopeing for some red and blue embroidered flowers on it."
"Yes but where, and what sort of flowers And what of the cut of the dress? The style?" I was beginning to feel overwhelmed.
"I'll leave that to your very capable hands Edna." Morgana then pushed me out of the shop before more questions were fired.
I clung to Arthur once we were back.
"Please don't leave me alone with your sister again."
"I won't love."
"Promise?"
"That is one thing I can't do. Its Morgana. She will find a way to make you a dress up doll." A groan left my lips. Arthur's laughter filled my ears. I stood on tip toes (He still needed to bend down sadly) and kissed him. He gladly returned it. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure if I will be able to wait two weeks.
I hope you all liked the new chapter. I'm still trying to figure out how exactly I want Merlin's dress to look though! Hopefully I will update sooner this time ~Heidi
