T'Pol walked through the newly constructed science lab that they were inspecting and tried to ignore the uncomfortable feeling she had experienced since she had learned about the Captain's attraction toward her. She didn't feel it so much in a group, only when they were alone. It had been eleven days of structural repairs, studying the spores, and making decisions about the new lab with her Vulcan counterparts. She had been busy, had spent little time alone with Trip since his drunken entrance into her quarters. She could feel him across their bond almost constantly. Like a low buzz. And he had mentioned a few times that he could also sense her throughout the day, but not continually.

"I like the materials they used for the counters," Jon said as he ran his hand across a surface.

"It's Gea, a quartz like substance native to Vulcan that is resistant to chemicals and has a low absorption rate," T'Pol explained.

"Are you okay?" Jon asked her.

"Why wouldn't I be?" T'Pol asked.

"I don't know, you just seem…off," Jon said.

"I'm fine," T'Pol said.

Jon walked around a sink area and looked at some of the different taps.

"You spent much time with Dr Nax?"

"Why would I?" T'Pol asked.

"He's young and Vulcan and…"

"Do you spend time with young eligible female humans?"

"I'm sorry?" Jon asked, confused.

"Just because we are Vulcan, relatively the same age, and of the opposite sex doesn't mean we have anything in common," T'Pol noted.

"I'm sorry, I just thought you'd like having another Vulcan on board," Jon explained as he watched T'Pol go to inspect another area of the science lab.

T'Pol looked a one of he shelves and made note of a missing screw on her checklist.

"I appreciate your concern," T'Pol said. "But I am satisfied with my human relationships."

Jon nodded.

"How's the neuropressure?" He asked.

"Fine," T'Pol said.

"Where did you learn it?" Jon asked as he checked off a few more items on his inspection list.

"All Vulcans take classes," T'Pol explained.

"How did you know it wouldn't hurt Trip?" Jon asked, absently.

"I didn't," T'Pol said.

T'Pol noted a drawer that was sticky on her checklist.

Jon laughed. "Did he know that?"

T'Pol nodded. "He did."

"But he trusted you?" Jon asked.

"He did," T'Pol nodded.

Jon noted a raised floor board and made note of it on his checklist.

"Is it something the rest of the crew would benefit from?" Jon asked. "It seems to have helped Trip."

"It takes years to learn," T'Pol explained.

"Well, maybe you could train a few people," Jon offered.

T'Pol didn't reply.

"I wouldn't mind learning," Jon offered.

"I'm not sure I have the time," T'Pol noted. "Commander Tucker and I have 3 neuropressure sessions a week."

"You two have become close," Jon said as he watched her carefully.

T'Pol said nothing in return and noted an edge that was a sharp corner.

Jon watched her carefully and decided to change tracks.

"And the scientists are sure the spores were multiplying simply because of their biological cycle?" Jon asked.

"Every 14.87 years they replicate," T'Pol said. "We were unaware of the age of the spores."

"Well, we're all glad your team figured that out before our ship just became a bunch of spores," Jon said.

T'Pol nodded.

Jon nodded. "Hey, you going to movie night?"

"I have not participated in this type of viewing," T'Pol said.

"It's called binge watching," Jon laughed. "You can watch all three parts of a film series in one night."

"It seems like an inordinate amount of time to be seated in one space," T'Pol said.

"Well, you'll get up and walk around, get some food and something to drink," Jon said.

"But is it necessary to view all 3 films at once?" T'Pol inquired.

"That's binge watching!" Jon laughed. "We can go together."

"Together?" T'Pol asked as she stepped a little farther away from him.

"Yes, if you want company," Jon offered. "I can explain some of the background information and…"

"I am fine to go on my ow…" T'Pol started as she backed away more.

"Look out!" Jon called to her.

Jon reached out to catch T'Pol about the waist and stop her from falling.

"I'm fine," T'Pol said as she pulled away from him, she didn't want to encourage any attraction.

"I just don't want you to fall," Jon said, confused.

T'Pol straightened herself and then turned and quickly walked toward the biohazard station. She tripped on a loose floor board and fell hard toward the floor.

"T'Pol!" Jon yelled as he ran to catch her.

He was three steps away when he saw her fall onto a metal rod and become impaled.

"T'Pol!" Jon yelled again.

He found her laying on the ground unconscious with green blood starting to seep through her clothing.

Jon carefully moved her and lifted her into his arms before he ran toward Sick Bay.
