Jo sits on the roof of the CC home lighting up cigarette and taking a deep drag trying to calm her nerves. It had been too much stress from bringing up her past. She thanked Kami that she already had bled off her energy days ago so she wouldn't have to for a while again. She blew the smoke as she thought about everything and how she blacked out can't remember any of her dreams even though she had a heavy feeling hanging on her heart. Jo takes another drag of her cig as the knots in her stomach ease a bit.

Trunks finally spots Jo on the roof plus the smell of cigs. He wrinkles his nose at the smell of the cigarettes as he lands next to Jo clearing his throat not to scare her.

"You know those can kill you?" He says lightly as he takes a seat.

Jo sighs as she puts it out, "Yeah I know they do. I got on my dad for smoking them and was proud when he quit then I pick up after all that has happened…..I'm sorry I stormed off."

Trunks shakes his head softly as he pats he back reassuringly, "No it was my fault. I shouldn't have pried or bring up such painful memories, if you don't mind me asking what about your brother Robert? Did something happen to him as well or if you don't want to talk about it that's fine too."

Jo sighed, "My brother is in hiding. As far as I know…..he called me one day after the accident that he was going to drop off the grid for a while. I haven't heard from him since. I don't why he had too. He was so nervous speaking on the phone like something had him spooked."

Tears start to burn at the corner of Jo's eyes, "I don't know if he is alive or dead….I'm all alone in this world."

Trunks wrapped his arms around Jo pulling her close. Jo blushes lightly as she feels his strong arms encircle her small frame. She could feel the strength and comfort of his arms once again she felt safe in a man's arms and it felt so right. He rests his head on top of hers as he began to speak.

"Jo I'm here for you and I know everyone else will be behind me to be here to support you too. I want to be a friend you can come to during this hard time in your life and knowing you're not alone anymore. I know it may be hard to do but you don't have to be strong anymore you can cry on my shoulder and I won't disappear. I'm here for you Jo you're not alone anymore."

Tears burst forth from Jo's eyes as she cries on his shoulder finally feeling for the first time since her life went to shit, a sense of security. She finally felt safe as she cried into the shoulder of the young man that held close comforting her while she finally cried hard over the loss of her family.

Jo stayed in Trunks' arms for a long time crying slowly it subsided and it reduced to sniffles. It had been so long since she was able to cry while mourning the loss of her late family. Jo lifted her face towards to meet the gaze of the crystal blue eyes of the man that held her giving her strength and comfort while she mourned the loss of her father disappeared and probably dead, her husband and daughter that were killed, and the fact her brother just disappeared without any reason leaving her all alone. They stared deeply into each other eyes for few moments before Jo spoke softly.

"Thank you so much Trunks…..I really needed that. I never really was able to have a good cry and mourn the loss of my husband and daughter. Thank you so much for being here for me."

Trunks gently squeezes Jo tight, "It was no problem Jo. I told you I want to be a good friend to you and if had all these burdens without releasing them they can be a poison making you sick and I wouldn't want that. My parents were fighting after I left and that will lead into other things…" He exaggerated the last part but Jo got the hint and blushed.

"So…you want to go hangout somewhere for a while?"

"That's if you want to Jo. I figure we could grab a coffee then take a walk around and talk. I would like to get to know you better." He smiles softly.

Jo shakes her head gently as she giggles softly, "Are you asking me on a date?"

Trunks blushes and chuckles, "Heh…no I know you are still trying to get your life together. I was wanting to hangout as friends get to know the woman who will be working at my side."

Jo smiles, "That sounds wonderful. I could use a cup of coffee anyway plus I don't really want to listen to your parents go at it."

Trunks shivered while making a funny face, "Yeah especially I think my dad just went into heat too."

Jo blushes and giggles, "Geez I knew I smelled a heavy musk but I just thought it was cologne. The burdens of being a saiyan I guess. How about we get going?"

"Yeah let's head out before they get too loud."

Jo nods while he unwraps his arms from her, a small part of Jo wanted to stay that way forever but right now wasn't the right time to begin a new relationship even if her heart felt filled and the ache disappeared for the time they were in each other arms. Trunks stands up then offering a hand to help Jo to her feet, she stood up slowly as she wobbled a little from all the energy spent when she cried so hard but she got to her feet and smiled softly. Jo rose into the air waiting for Trunks to show her the way. Trunks took off as Jo followed behind him towards to his favorite coffee shop.
