"Come on Chuck, you need to let me see her, at least let me know what's going on. How's she doing?" Logan nearly begged as he paced the professor's office.
"Logan, if I was permitted to I would tell you how she's doing but currently I'm not. So please just leave well enough alone." He knew how concerned he was for Rogue but there really was nothing he could do for his friend, at least until Rogue said otherwise.
Respecting her wishes and keeping Logan at bay was proving more and more difficult. Especially now that Jamie found them and was constantly visiting, he was bringing their scent up every where and it was driving Logan mad. He wanted to check in on her, to talk to her and catch up with her, but he wasn't allowed to until Rogue gave the go ahead.
Logan just growled then stormed out of the room. This was ridiculous, how could he not be allowed to talk to her. The relationship he had with her was nothing short of what a father shared with a daughter, at least that's how he thought of it. He had always been concerned with her well being, whether either one of them liked it or not. He always felt a primitive need to protect her and keep her safe, but he knew he failed her when Apocalypse had gotten to her. He hadn't been able to stop that monster from using her and causing her such grief, he hadn't even been able to help her through it. Something which he could never forgive himself for.
That year he knew she was having a rough time he had tried to be there for her but he hadn't been able to break down her walls, and he kicked himself for not trying harder. It didn't help that he had been away a lot of the time trying to work out his own crap.
When he came back from one of his trips he tried looking for her and realized that she was no where on the property. He followed her scent, from the garage and down the highway but it was so faint he had actually lost it. He drove around the city trying to find her but it was futile. When morning came he gave up and went back to the mansion when her scent immediately assaulted his nose, along with the smell of the rotten cajun. He bolted to her room but just found her notes that she left. He couldn't believe she left, that she didn't even say goodbye to him. She just ran away.
He knew he couldn't blame her or be mad at her, but that didn't stop the hurt it caused him that she just left without a goodbye. He tried getting into contact with her but she cancelled her cell phone and all but disappeared, he had found a few traces of her here and there around the city for a week, then her trail went cold and he had absolutely no clue where she had gone to.
Then six years later she just shows up, injured no less, and refuses to see anyone, even him. He needed to see her, to at least know that she was doing okay. Well he knew she was doing well for herself, in such a short amount of time she built herself an empire, found herself a family and was even getting married. The man she was marrying was questionable, but she seemed happy enough. He just wanted to hear all that from her. It killed him that he couldn't talk to her.

"Something's going on and we need to find out what it is Jean." Scott said as he paced in front of the fireplace.
She watched him from her spot on the couch. "Well, what is it exactly that you think is going on?"
"I don't know but first off we've been running out of food a lot faster than normal, especially considering that everyone goes out to eat now that the weather's been nice. Then there's the ban to the lower levels.
I tried going down there but all access was denied, the only time I can get down there is when I'm with Beast or Logan to do training. Which is really weird because I don't think there's ever been a time when our access has been revoked. Also I'm finding that Jamie is down there a lot actually, he's telling me he's training, but it's not logged anywhere in the computers."
Jean looked at Scott thoughtfully. "Do you think he knows what's going on down there? Did you want me to take a peak and see if he's got any information floating around?"
He looked at her appreciatively, grateful that she offered and that he didn't have to ask. He nodded his head then sat down beside her as she started to concentrate.

"Ding ding ding! We have an intruder!" Jamie exclaimed from his spot at the foot of the bed. Rogue grinned at Remy who winked at her as he placed his cards face down on the bed then stood up from his chair. Rogue leaned back against her pillows as she sat cross legged at the head of her made bed.
Remy came back with a magazine in hand, then turned on the stereo at full blast. He gave ear plugs to Rogue and put his own in. Jamie sat with his eyes shut tightly while shaking his head back and forth. Remy stood behind him and opened the magazine so that was the only thing in his line of vision.
Rogue tapped Jamie with her foot and he opened his eyes which widened in surprise as he saw what was in front of him. Knowing the drill he put all his focus on the pictures and lost himself in the articles. Rogue slid off the bed and went to stand behind him with Remy.
They looked around the room but didn't see anything that would give them away at least until she saw the cards that Remy left on the bed. She pointed them out to her fiance who only shrugged, there wasn't anything he could do about it now without completely giving himself away. Hopefully their intruder wasn't too inclined to sticking around.

"EW! Oh my gawd!" Jean yelled as she stood up grabbing her head. "Dammit Jamie!"
"What? What is it? What did you see?" Scott asked as he rushed after her.
"No, no, no, no, never again!" She said leaving the room. "Why are guys so disgusting? The sun is still up!"

Jamie put the magazine down and looked at his friends. "I'm pretty sure she won't want to see what I see for a while." He laughed as he put the playboy down.
Rogue shook her head, turned off the stereo then went back to her spot at the head of the bed and plucked her cards out of her pocket.
"Yeah well serves her right for intruding into your mind without permission."
Remy looked at her thoughtfully. "You know that wasn't her idea don't you chere?"
She nodded her head, she knew full well that this stunt was Scott's idea. He was always terrible at following orders, especially when he was left in the dark, it was like dealing with a child who was throwing a tantrum over a toy. He'll never stop until he gets what he wants, and right now he wants to know what's going on.
A/N WOOOOHOOOO another chapter! It's short, but sweet (kinda lol) Anyways, know that I DO NOT own any rights to Playboy or even A Playboy lol Hope you stick around for whats to come. Please review! It makes me giddy lol
