This next scenario has happened to me... unfortunately, I didn't have a suave dashing Mamoru to help me... nor did I have any more change... Sadly, I had to walk away, robbed, defeated and still hungry. A part of me died that day...

I watched her from afar as she wrestled the metal beast, repeatedly slamming her fists at it as she shouted and screamed at the top of her lungs with such passion and zeal that it took my breath away. Her opponent was easily three to four times her size, but she continued her barrage of attacks, unfazed.
"You piece of-" She kicked its side, "How dare you?!" She grabbed it with both hands in a futile attempt to try to shake the two tonne beast. "Do you know who I am?!" She screeched and stomped her feet on the pavement, clenching her fists tightly before manoeuvring her body into a series of awkward poses. "I am Sailor Moon! I fight for love and justice, and in the name of the moon," She kicked it again, "I'll punish you for taking my money and not giving me my bag of M&Ms!"
Needless to say, she received no response from the vending machine. Of course not. She was a nut job ditzy teen who thought she was Sailor Moon. Riiiight.
Enter the hero (that's me).
I strolled up to the flailing teenage girl and spotted the issue. The spiral arm of the vending machine had caught one of the beaded candies, resulting in the bag being stuck. Confidently, I placed my hands on her shoulders and shifted her aside. Reaching in to my pockets, I scrounged around for some coins, placing them into the poor dented machine and punched in C3. The vending machine responded by turning the coordinated spiral arm, relinquishing both her stuck packet of M&M's, and my newly purchased bag. I bent down casually, retrieving my winnings from the bottom chute.
She watched my skilful moves silently and when I turned to face her, she stared back. Her face reflected a mixed bag of emotions; confusion, admiration, embarrassment and waning anger.
"Here." I handed over her bag of well-earned sweets and she stuttered a flustered comment of gratitude. I shot her one of my trademark winning smiles and a salute.
Yep. I'm pretty sure she's in love with me now.
/End.
So, those of you who also follow Summer Rain would have probably noticed the pattern by now- A new chapter of In Another Life usually precedes a chapter of SR... so yes, I have been working on Summer Rain diligently, and should have another chapter out soon.
In other news, some of you know that my birthday is coming up (1st Jan). This year, I've decided that in lieu of gifts, I would like to fundraise for a worthy cause. If you'd like to make a donation (even $2 will make a difference) and help me achieve my goal, then please visit the "everyday hero" link on my profile page.
Love and hugs until the next post!
