Nick awoke to heat. It was a nice heat but it had never been there before. He turned around and was met with a face full of hair. He pulled back and sat up. Sleeping peacefully was his beautiful blonde boyfriend. Nick couldn't help the smile that made its way onto his face. Slowly he got up and headed to the bathroom. He showered and got ready for the day. Once he was out he got dressed and headed down to the cafeteria. Everything was quite. Especially since it was around 9 and everyone was usually up. The cafeteria was empty. Even the cooks and janitors were nowhere to be found. Nick frowned and headed back upstairs. He heard a faint scream and stopped. Around the corner was a figure he had met before. Her cold. blue eyes looked into Trent's.
"Tell me boy. Where is Nicholas Duval and Jeffery Sterling?"
"Uh...they...please don't kill me?"
"Answer and I will spare your mortal life."
"Room 336." Trent whimpered out. The black haird witch let the boy go and made her way down the hall. Nick bolted up the staircase to the third floor and down to his room. Once inside he locked the door.
"Jeff wake up." Nicks voice was full of panic that Jeff sat up.
"Nick what's wrong?"
"Your ...she...shes here..." Jeff's looked at the brunette in confusion before he realized who 'she' was.
The doorknob jiggled and Jeff pulled Nick behind him. A growl built up in the back of his throat. The door flew open and two guards Nick didn't recognize burst in. They went after Jeff first but Jeff had training just like them. They fought and Nick backed up against the wall. Since the thing with Ryder, he was scared of the queen. She was trying to kill him for power. What power? He didn't know. All he knew was that Jeff had a plan to stop her, but that plan was no longer an option seeing as she was standing in their Dalton dorm room. Jeff threw one guard down and went after the other. The guard on the floor took the opportunity and stood grabbing Nick.
"Jeff!" Nick struggled against the guard but it was too late. The other guard had a blade in Jeff's chest while Nick was dragged away.
The image of Jeff falling into a puddle of his own blood, ran through his head. Nick whimpered as he remembered the look of failure that crossed Jeff's face as he fell. As long as Nick had known him, he had never seen Jeff falter. Nick let out a whimper which made Rebekah laugh. It was the coldest thing he'd ever heard. It had no warmth, just coldness. Nick flinched closer to the wall he was chained to. After they dragged him away, they took him back to the palace. Rebekah had him chained down in the dungeon. Now she was watching his every move.
"So young and naive. It's a good thing you won't be alive long enough to see what you can do." She left then. Left Nick in the dark cold room. He couldn't help it anymore and let his tears fall. He knew Jeff was a vampire, but Jeff shouldn't have fallen like that. Nick was alone in the world now. No one to love him. He might as well die. Soon the tears ran faster and faster until Nick was sobbing uncontrollably.
After hours, the dungeon doors opened and in came two people Nick didnt expect. The Asian opened the cell door and walked over to Nick.
"Be very quiet. I promised Jeff I'd take care of you if his mother found you. "
"Wesley..."
"David quiet. " Wes unchained Nick and they made their way to him. They vacated the dungeon and met up with a very sad looking Latina.
"Santana." Nick looked her over. She was a mess.
She looked him in the eyes. Hers showed nothing but agony. "You go and you kill that Bitch. You hear me. You make her pay for taking Brittany away from me."
"I can't. If you haven't noticed, I'm a human. I'm not powerful like Jeff."
"You'll see." she turned and went to the horses. "Let's go." Wes and David helped Nick onto one and as soon as everyone was settled, they rode off.
Jeff awoke to a dark room. "Nick? Nick!" he tried getting up but failed. The sword of a guard was laced with magic to wound its victim. He had to get up. If not, Nick would be dead in a matter of hours. He tried to stand again and made it before falling again. His vision blurred and he fell into the darkness again.
The next time Jeff woke up, he wasn't on the floor anymore. He was in his bed and his wounds had healed. Slowly he stood and surveyed the room. Everything was in order except for the giant blood stain on the carpet.
"Took you long enough."
Jeff growled and turned to come face to face with Ryder. "What now?"
"You could say thank you since I bandaged you up. " she walked around the room looking at everything. "Your mom has your boy toy."
"I know. I have to save him."
"Yeah...that's why I'm here. I wanna help. We have to stop Rebekah, and my king wants his son back. So he sent me and about 200 guards to help you. "
"What?" Jeff couldn't believe the king of Rowan would help Oscura. They had been fighting for the past 15 years, since the prince had gone missing. "I give Rowan my thanks. Now let's go. My mother plans to make her move in about an hour. " Jeff glanced at the clock. The moon would be at its strongest at midnight.
"Then let's get back to Oscura."
