The car ride to Stark Tower was dead silent. The car pulled up and we all got out, going inside the huge and taller-than-the-average-New York-skyscraper. Inside was warm and huge with many fancy and expensive pictures, rooms, kitchen, and many elevators. Fury and Tasha escorted me to the grand living room that had a huge sofa that curved, beautiful hardwood floors, beige walls, and ginormous flat screen television. Across from that was a wall of glass windows that overlooked a gorgeous nighttime view of New York. But none of that amazingness could make all of the worried faces on the Avengers faces.

Seeing me made them all breathe a sigh of relive. Tony practically suffocated me in a tight hug. "God, Ava. Where were you?"

"You had us worried to death." Coulson said once Tony had let me go.

"Agent Robertson thought it was the best time to find her ex-boyfriend." Fury said.

I glared at him. "John isn't my ex-boyfriend you jackass! He's my boyfriend! And nothing you do will ever change that!" I snapped.

Everyone stared at me, but Fury simply remained serene.

"Before you chose a mutant over your own team," Fury stated coldly. "We had an answer. A man named Loki will be staying her under tight surveillance. The Avengers will be staying here at Tony's home for six months, trying to reform Loki."

I laughed harshly. "You're going to take kind humans to reform a crazed maniac?" I glanced at Thor. "No offense."

He nodded.

"Yes. Although I'm not sure if you're willing to change to help." Fury stated.

"Oh really? Is that because I snuck off the helicarrier while your top security was taking a nap?" I snapped. "Because honestly, you should keep an eye on your computers, someone could take over. Or steal."

"So you did steal." Natasha stated harshly.

"I needed some files."

"Of what?"

"My dead family." I lied. I had no pictures of them. I sighed, facing Fury. "I'm tired. Can you just punish me so I can go to sleep?"

He expressed a hard face. "You aren't allowed to leave the tower for a month. Even if there's any kind of danger, you keep yourself there."

I crossed my arms. "Anything else?"

"You'll be training with Tony mostly."

"Say what?" I asked, looking at him who grinned. "That's a punishment in itself."

"You're lucky I don't just throw you in a prison cell." Fury spat.

"Right because a girl is bad genes deserves to be thrown into a prison cell." I rolled my eyes. "Anything else?"

"Get out of my face."

Ouch, that hurt. "Whatever you say Patchy." Fury flinched but I didn't care. I faced Tony. "Well trainer? Mind taking me to my room?"

He walked over, laying an arm on my shoulder and heading to the elevator. Once we got in and the doors closed, he removed his arm, squeezing my shoulder. "You want to cry?"

I nodded.

He remained silent and once the elevator opened, walked me to my new huge bedroom that had to have three rooms in one. It had sky blue walls, beautiful and brand knew bedroom furniture, a fancy bench seat next to a grand arched window, a beige carpeted flooring and a queen sized bed, and a walk-in closet and master bathroom. Tony walked me to a door that was besides the bench seat. A small scanner was there and he beckoned for me to place my hand there. I did and a robotic voice stated my name before the door slid open.

We walked in and my jaw dropped, a medium sized room with a so many books I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. And not only that, it had two floors with a spiral staircase leading down to the main floor where more book shelves were

Tony grinned. "Happy now?"

"Very." I turned, surprising him with a hug. "Thank you." I whispered.

He hugged back. "You're welcome Princess." I let go of him and he gave me a somewhat serious expression. "Don't run. Just find someone and talk about what's bothering you alight?"

I nodded. "Sure."

"No sure, yes."

I smiled. "Yes." he then pulled me out and pointed to the ceiling that was a gorgeous and huge mosaic of me and Zin. I couldn't stop staring. "How did you….?"

"We read your files. Discovered what happened and thought, why not let the kid join us and not be so alone. Plus, we can help you get over, you know…" he walked out the room, closing the door.

I quickly showered and dressed into a lavender silky nightgown with long sleeves. Turning off the lights, I slid under the covers, sighting the mosaic that not only was beautiful, but glowed in the dark with a message underneath.

NEVER ALONE

Tears pricked my eyes, falling down my cheeks as I cried myself to tears. How could I never be alone if I would never see Zin again, had to force myself to forget about John, and for the most part, punished for wanting a bit of time to reconnect with my old life?
