Sorry for the wait! I've had a major writer's block on top of a ton of homework. I was thinking about combining this chapter with the next one but decided not to. I'll hopefully have the next one done by this weekend.

Trying to forget the crushing reality that faced her, she sat up and began to change into the clothes that she assumed Yunan brought to her when she was still asleep. She was honestly used to her old, plain black shirt and baggy white pants and didn't desire to stray too far from them in her fashion choices. The shirt was definitely more of a Sindrian style with gold embroidery on a long white top that almost reached her knees, accompanied with skinny black pants.

"They don't match my sword hilts," she mumbled to herself as she looked at herself in the mirror. Quickly brushing her hair (and taking out clumps of it with each stroke of the brush), she ran out the door, hoping to have a chance to eat breakfast before hearing the stupid king's response.

"I don't see why we have to wake up at the crack of dawn to go see that shitty king. Honestly, he's the last thing I want to see right now, especially at 5 AM," Demir complained loudly, pulling up a chair to the table where Yunan was sitting and almost slamming a cup of tea on the table.

"It's more like 10, is it not?" Yunan laughed, leaning over to smooth down a piece of Demir's hair that stuck up more than his hat. "Besides, I wouldn't talk so poorly about the man who did, in fact, decide to help us."

"Really?" Demir said, sounding uncharacteristically enthusiastic.

"You seem rather excited about the 'shitty king' helping," Yunan observed, resting his cheek on the palm of his hand. Was he jealous? No, he didn't have any need to be. Demir would never prefer the company of that low life over his own, right?

"As much as I hate to admit it, Sinbad's not weak, so he'll probably be able to help." Demir tried to keep a straight face while saying this, but as she took a sip of her tea, she burst out into a big smile. "So, how'd you find out that he decided to not give an answer that would thoroughly piss me off?"

"Ja'far came to visit about two hours ago. I do like him a great deal more than I do Sinbad…"

"Ja'far is the albino guy, right?"

"Aren't you a bit more 'albino' than him? You're paler."

"That doesn't even remotely answer my question." Seeing Yunan laughing at her flustered statement, she turned the color of the apple Yunan had just finished eating – that is, red. "A-anyways, what do we do now?"

"Oh, we're leaving on ship Sinbad arranged for us in an hour."

"…An hour? Do you really think I can get ready in an hour?"

"Considering it takes you at least ten minutes to get dressed, no, but I'll gladly help you prepare everything."
