Chapter 7

Unable to pull from the thrill which gripped her, Misaki felt her body weaken as Usui continued to roll in her mouth, toying with her tongue every so often to keep her alert. The sensations that filled her body came flowing over her one by one like the crashing of waves they consumed her. Misaki didn't understand why she was allowing him the pleasure, why it was only Usui who made her feel the way she did, making her heart burst and flames tingle her flesh. He was a simple pervert wanting nothing more than to pleasure himself with her, Usui thought of nothing but his own gain and he proved that more than once it was the entire reason why Misaki couldn't bring herself to like him, yet he was all she could think about as a mist descended upon her thoughts. His touch blocked any reasoning in her mind, his grip so tight there was no way she could escape and still it felt gentle, caring in some way. It didn't make sense that Usui would have such a softness about him but his hand trembled if only slightly, his hold intense but still careful enough to ensure he didn't hurt her and even the look on his face was euphoric, all of it flooded her with a sense of deep lovingness she had never experienced before. Everything came crashing down as Usui jumped back almost startled, a look of detest spread across his face while his eyes fixed solely on the kitchen door.

"Who's there?" He yelled sternly, while Misaki still took time to grasp the situation. Panic filled her as the realisation finally dawned that they had been watched, leaping from the side her pose ready to fight in a moment notice. Things could not get any worse, as if Misaki didn't have enough to deal with but now someone within the mansion had seen the events unfold as well.

"Looks like they're gone", Usui sighed heavily, his composure returned as quickly as he lost it, his eyes held shut to contemplate. Both of them wondered who was behind the door, someone knew a secret so dangerous it could bring the whole world crashing around the both of them and the only ones who it could have been were people who would certainly use it as a weapon. Besides themselves, only Usui's father, Gerald and Tora remained in the building and while there was a very small chance that it may have been a staff member who returned, that was the least likely of options. One thing was certain, if one of the three had seen them, it would become apparent once they returned the culprit was surely to make a mistake.

"Well", Usui huffed in his usual tone, his attention turned back to Misaki who still remained on the defence, "Shall we go back?" He questioned while the look on his face was serious. His hand reached out for Misaki who froze, screaming inside to not let him touch her she wanted to run, yell, punch but the betrayal of her limbs once again set in as she remained in a statue like state. Squinting tightly to prepare for Usui's perverted touch, Misaki found herself stunned by his actions as he patted her gently upon the head. Her eyes met his and the smile spread across Usui's lips was more sincere than she had ever seen from him before, bringing a gentle flush to her face.

Finally completing their task the pair of them headed back to the dining room, but Misaki's mind continued to wonder. Trying to solve the riddle within her own heart, the answer still eluded her as to why she allowed Usui to touch her and why she felt the way she did. Even the thought of his kiss made it so real in her mind she could almost feel the soft heat from his lips against hers, his touch was to loving. Again the word repeated in her mind, 'love' echoed over and again, Misaki felt it strange she would use such a word to describe Usui, why would she ever use that word. While it's true Usui had claimed his love for her, his feeling were in no way returned as no one could ever love such a crudely obvious depraved being yet still he provided a convincing performance, enough even to make Misaki second guess everything she believed about him.

The room fell silent as Misaki and Usui returned. Naturally she allowed him to enter first as she carried the tray with Master Walkers drink proudly. When she took one look at the cupboard where Master Walker kept his cognac Misaki couldn't help but feel relieved that Usui was there to help her as she was faced with an array of different bottles, each with foreign, strange names she couldn't hope to pronounce and each of them were for a different purpose, it was enough to give her a headache.

"Thank you girl", Master Walkers voice boomed as Misaki placed down her burden. She watched Usui from the corner of her eye and was impressed to see how he kept his quiet composure, however they both had the same motive. Scanning everyone in the room, Usui and Misaki searched for any strange reaction to give away the identity of the peeping tom, unfortunately none of them flinched.

"You took too long", Gerald snarled, his tone was quite dismissive, it was clear he held little regard for anyone of lower standing than himself.

"Why is that Usui?" Tora suggestively questioned, his sarcasm was noted by all of them but Master Walker who saw the conversation as simple pleasantries, but Misaki couldn't dismiss the fact that Tora seemed the most likely culprit behind the spying incident thanks to his snarky behaviour.

"My apologies. I was teaching the maid about cognac and it appears we lost track of time" Usui professionally lied, his tone so casual had Misaki not been there she would have been certain his tale of events was true without doubt, still she found herself growing angry at how Usui referred to her, never before calling her 'the maid' it felt like a hidden insult but she could do nothing with so many on lookers.

"I am terribly sorry for the delay", She gently admitted, bowing again, it felt that all Misaki did this evening was hang her head to the ground, it was hard reality but fact remained that was all she could do, she could never stand as equal with the others as they all held fame and fortune from a world above her own. The conversation topic quickly changed to the matter at hand and to his word it appeared that Tora had spoken highly of Usui in their absence as Master Walker began praising his son highly for his skills and contribution to the company. While it was obvious Usui didn't appreciate such flattery, he took it graciously, it seemed the only person in the world he didn't behave obnoxiously toward was his father, not that it came as much of a surprise as not many would speak to their own parents in any manner so foul or degrading, but in a strange way it was that Usui respected his father's authority above him and was an unusual sight to see him so humble. The false curtsies continued regardless and the night rolled on into late hours, it came as a surprise to Misaki to see the drink passed around. Master Walker was the only one who appeared old enough to be of drinking age yet he practically forced a glass upon the others, even if none of them seemed as fond of the drink as Master Walker himself who kept Misaki busy with refilling his glass at an incredible rate. It was little wonder that Master Walker decided to call it a night not long after, perhaps out of protocol Tora, Gerald and Usui said nothing of retiring for the evening until Master Walker had safely left from ear shot of the young men's conversation and much to Misaki's dismay it appeared that Tora would be spending the night within the mansion. With no right to argue with the decision while Gerald was present Misaki simply had to face the concept of having the Igarashi brat skulking around her work for a night, the only comfort was knowing she herself didn't have to remain within the mansion. It was notable that with the departure of Master Walker the atmosphere in the dining room became somewhat stale, a deadly aura practically seeped from the men as they sat around the table in a three way stare off, any comment which was made came as sharp as a knife to butter, Misaki knew that right now she couldn't be in a more dangerous situation, the intensity wearing on her nerves and nothing to distract her, she wondered how long it would be before she cracked. The sound of smashing broke her trail of thought as Misaki was drawn over to Master Gerald, it appeared he had dropped his glass upon the table as its shattered remains sprawled in front of him.

"Clean it up", Gerald ordered demandingly, again the vile tone oozed from his words. It was hard for Misaki to listen to such disgusting behaviour but she had no choice, she could not let Gerald hurt himself on the shards of glass lest her job be on the line for allowing her Master to come to harm. Hastily trying to clear it from his reach Misaki cut her finger, whipping her hand back sharply a slight gasp could be heard leap from her lips, causing Usui to dive to her side without any hesitation.

"Let me see", He requested, tenderly taking her hand within his own. Gerald and Tora watched the pair closely in silence.

"It's not that bad Usui- Err, Master", Misaki sulked, trying to free herself from Usui's hands as she could feel herself growing uneasy.

"Honestly", Usui chuckled to himself removing a hanky chief from his pocket, "You should be more careful Misa". Placing it around her wounded finger, Usui found time to playing upon her arm, running his hand along slyly with a smirk beaming from his face, only causing Misaki to blush wildly, hanging her head she couldn't look at him while she felt so vulnerable. Usui's emerald gaze scanned his brother and Tora secretly as his over attentive behaviour played out before them, angered with suspicion as he noticed a brief glare the pair of them shared. While it was only for a second, Usui was certain that the look they passed was a devious one, he didn't have proof, but he knew something was amiss, he couldn't allow himself to become complacent for Misaki's sake as he knew all too well how scheming both of the young men were.

"I have had enough of this. The evening ends now", Gerald stated, jolting up from his seat. It seemed as though he was trying to take charge since Master Walker had retired to his bedchamber and Misaki could feel the arrogance simply beaming from him. Still neither Usui or Tora bothered to argue with him, it was clear they too had seemingly had just about enough of each other's company for the night and with an almost over eager attitude they agreed to return to their rooms.

"Would you like me to escort you to your room Sir?" Misaki questioned respectfully, even if the idea of playing nice to Tora was killing her inside.

"Forget it", He barked immediately, "I know my way"

With a tone of ice and an attitude of stone, it would serve as enough fuel to cause anyone to burst into a spiralling rage, but his decision suited both of them perfectly fine. Misaki had no intention of playing good maid for Tora and she had other things to deal with before her shift was over, she didn't have time to play his little games. Bowing politely as both her masters and Igarashi left the room, it was a pleasant feeling for Misaki to finally be alone, she didn't mind the work, she just didn't like how cold the air in the room had become only wishing that Master Walker had stayed with them for a while longer. Collecting the pieces of glass together in a pile, memories of Usui's sensitive touch haunted her mind; Misaki couldn't escape the burning feeling that grew in her chest every time she thought about Usui but she wished only to put him out of her mind. Concentrating on her job was highest priority to her at that point she knew she didn't have the luxury of doting upon idol thoughts. Too much had happened that evening for her brain to even comprehend the entire situation let alone think of any solutions to the problems, the only thing Misaki wanted more than anything was to go home.

Her movements hastened as she headed back to the staff room to change for the day, the Walker mansion was usually a quiet and solitary place however in the dead of night it held a certain eerie factor that Misaki just couldn't dismiss, as though the shadows themselves were chasing her the only thing that kept her sane was the thought of leaving. With no task to perform it didn't take long for Misaki's mind to drift back to Usui, she wanted an answer for her own piece of mind as to why he hounded her every thought so much. Considering the events that had lead both of them to the situation they were now in Misaki could hardly claim innocence in it all and she realised this, as she had allowed Usui to run so wild with her more than once, but why. She didn't love him, of this Misaki was certain, though the mere thought of loving him made a fluster in her stomach which Misaki found herself begging to ignore, not wanting to admit the churning sensation that filled her when she considered such a possibility, so what was it she wanted. Her body had betrayed her again and again so there must be something deep down that Misaki wanted which only Usui was giving to her, a painful realisation grew in the back of her mind that perhaps all she did want was his touch. As shameful as it was to admit, Misaki couldn't write off the option that her motives behind her behaviour were on the basic of levels, a longing for lust. A creaking noise from feet away drew her imagination running wild as her thoughts crumbled. Misaki felt that every evil of the darkness was out to get her, the hallway lights were always dim so the thick black shadow covered most of what her eyes could see. A jolt of fear burst up Misaki's spine holding her to the spot, while she may have been exaggerating about the darkness something was now very wrong. The eyes of someone watching her in secret, she could feel them crawl over her skin, the bead of sweat which began to form on her forehead made it clear that Misaki felt uneasy, her eyes frantically searched the endless maze around her for answers, where was 'it' and what did 'it' want, her faltering heart made her breath grow jittery and unstable as fear crept over her slowly. It was no good, no matter how much Misaki tried to fight it her legs had turned to stone, the evil lurking after her had her cornered, the only movement she could muster was to lean against the wall in assurance. Misaki's heart stopped as a single hand covered her mouth and another latched to her shoulder from behind, all but paralyzed with fear all she could do was scream which muffled out through the blockade around her mouth, her eyes filled quickly with tears as a swift yank drew her backwards, disappearing into the darkness of one of the rooms.
