I could tell you about school and how it just started and I've had like seven essays, I could tell you about how my computer is STILL broken and I probably won't get a new one until Christmas or something, but I won't, instead, I'll tell you…
ON WITH THE STORY!
Previously, on Thorne
"Then why don't you take us back to the Titans so we can explain?" He asked. Just then, the door banged open and the Titans rushed in, staring in confusion.
"Never mind." He mumbled to her, she only smirked slightly.
"I bet you guys are wondering what this is all about…" She started.
Robin stepped forward. "Who are you?" He asked, giving her an appraising look that made her squirm.
"A friend… and an enemy." She responded, standing up. "I'm Raven, but I'm also Thorne." She said, and Robin put his hand near his Bo-Staff. "Wait! Can I explain?" She asked quickly, trying not to come off as hostile. He nodded, but was still scrutinizing her. "Thank you." She said, letting out a breath of relief.
Present
Taking a quick peek over to Beastboy, who nodded in encouragement, she took a deep breath and faced the Titans.
"It's, really me, Robin. I really am who you think I am." She said, slipping back into her normal monotone.
"Raven? But… why?" Asked the leader, confusion showing on his face.
Raven sighed, preparing to launch into her story. She told them how every calm Azarathean has an inner demon that is every bad emotion you can feel, set loose on the world in their version of a temper tantrum. How her's was intensified and strengthened by not only her actual demon side, but also the cause for it.
"Well then what was the cause?" He asked, his mind now set on destroying it. The attention of the girl's purple orb-like eyes dropped to her feet as the lightest shade of a pink blush crept onto her ivory cheeks.
"Well… why exactly do you need to know?" She asked, raising a eyebrow.
"So we can destroy it, whatever made you this way, it has to go." Robin said, his eyes narrowing.
"You see, I'm… well I'm not sure if that will really work. After all, as Titans, aren't you supposed to protect each other? Not murder one another?" She said cryptically, still staring at her feet.
"It's one of us? How? When? Who is…" Robin began, then slowly trailed off, his eyes widening as he averted his eyes from Raven, and onto a not-so-surprised looking Terra.
"Wh-what? You don't think it's my fault do you?" Terra asked innocently. All the Titans nodded their heads, some more vigorously, or timidly, than others. Under the scrutiny of each of the Titans, Terra finally cracked, crossing her arms. "Okay, so I did a little research, figured out how to make Raven go nuts, and did it. Why? Because Raven is a freaking empathy, and she sees through everything. How was I supposed to destroy you without your trust? Oops, I didn't mean to say that." She blurted out in one big rush.
In a room full of now hostile Titans and a still half-Thorne Raven, things were not looking good for the little blonde geomancer.
Titans!
Raven, a full Raven, sat on the roof of the tower, well levitated above really, meditating. Her eyes were shut tight, her mouth framing her mantra. She began to hear a low buzzing noise, and simply expected that it was a common housefly. Unknown to her, this housefly was green and hovered over her lap, before turning into an adorable kitten on landing on her lap. She peered her eye open and stared at the kitten, who stared right back. Finally she lifted the kitten into the air, and it returned itself to a boy, a boy that knocked her off balance and made them fall in a heap on the roof.
"Beastboy, tell me. Exactly what are you doing?" Raven asked, staring at the green lump layed out across her stomach.
"Well, I fell. And I landed on you. So here I am." He responded, causing her to roll her eyes.
"I meant why were you on my lap?"
"Because it's soft."
"So I'm a pillow now?"
"I suppose you could think of it like that."
"Beastboy, is there something you want from me?"
"I wanted to know what you wanted to tell me."
"What?"
"You know, the thing you wanted to tell me before Terr- Tara interrupted."
"Oh. That."
"So will you tell me?"
"Not today."
"But I wanna know!"
"Nope."
"But Raven!"
"Not a chance."
"Well then, I have to ask you something."
"Yes?"
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
"You have no idea how long I've wanted you to ask me that."
"So is that a yes?"
"No."
"Oh."
"…"
"…"
"It's a hell yes."
Urgh. I'm mad at myself or making you guys deal with such a sucky ending, but I don't just have writers block, I ran clean into a brick wall. So, flames, reviews, favorites, follows, whatever. I'll accept it all. Maybe even suggestions.
