Chapter 7

Levy woke up the following evening to the most delicious scent she knew. Pancakes. She yawned, stretched and made her way to the kitchen in search of the source. When she came across a practically naked Gajeel, flipping a pan she couldn't help but smile.

"I didn't realise you could cook" she smirked, seating herself at the table

"I didn't realise you could fuck" he replied, flashing her a sexy grin before sauntering over with a plateful of pancakes. She blushed at the comment, focusing her attention on pouring syrup over the delicious food before her. She took a bite and moaned in appreciation.

"Man these are amazing" she gasped. "Seriously, you are in the wrong profession" she smiled, stuffing yet another mouthful in. Gajeel sat watching her, sipping his coffee. "Are you not having any?"

"Watching you is all the fuel I need" he replied.

"But what about work? Don't you need to eat to concentrate?" she asked

Gajeel smirked. "Oh we aren't going to work today. I'm taking another day off. Maybe a week. And if I don't work, you don't work"

Levy stopped eating. "So what are you going to do instead?"

"Well I was going to head out for the day" he replied "But right now all I want to do is have my way with you on this table"

Levy looked up at him, searching for a hint of mockery that wasn't there. She stood from her chair and sauntered over to him, sitting on the edge of the table. "Well Dr. Redfox. I am here to assist"

He stood to match her, his eyes bearing into hers. He leaned over her as her body leaned towards his as though they were magnets drawn to one another. His hand cupped her face gently. "I don't want to hear you call me that" he said softy "I want you to use my name. I want you to moan it, scream it, yell it, whisper it, I don't care. But I want you to say exactly who it is that's fucking you. Exactly who it is that is bringing you to climax over and over" he leaned in and kissed her lips "who kisses you, touches you, makes you feel so good" Levy gasped as he began to kiss his way down her neck. She lifted her arms so he could remove the t-shirt she had thrown on and was immensely glad that that was all she had on. He continued to kiss his way down her stomach, past her belly button to her lower region. "Spread 'em" he grinned. She shook her head.

"I don't think it's fair that I have to wait for what I know we both want" she smirked "We have all day to explore one another. You wanted to have your way with me on this table, so have it"

Not needing any further encouragement, Gajeel tugged off his boxers and slid himself slowly into her. They both gasped, savouring the moment before Gajeel began a slow, sensual pace. "I want you to remember this" he sighed, kissing her face. "Remember how we feel, remember how I smell, look, sound. Every time you think of me, I want you to remember it all"

Levy looked at him. "I won't need to remember, because you aren't going anywhere, are you?"

Instead of answering her, Gajeel kissed her deeply and increased his pace, wiping her mind of any concerns she held. They moved as one, panting and kissing and rapidly becoming a tangle of bodies. As Levy felt herself draw close, she looked into Gajeel's eyes, searching for the right words. He looked at her too, but before either one could speak they were lost in orgasm, climaxing in unison.

The day passed in a mess of food, sex, talking, sex, washing up, sex and well more sex. Levy had never felt more relaxed in her entire life, and it was all thanks to the currently topless man who was snoozing on her bed. She giggled as she watched the rise and fall of his chest, taking in every inch of his perfect muscles and slight tickling of hair. They had truly explored each other over the course of the day, but it didn't make the sight any less perfect. A buzzing drew Levy's attention to Gajeel's phone, which was resting on top of her nightstand. She knew she shouldn't look, but curiosity got the better of her. Curiosity turned out to hurt more than she thought it would.

Juvia: Haven't heard from you in a while. Meet at the usual place tomorrow at 8. Big news.

Juvia could be his sister. Juvia could be his mum. Or Juvia could be some hot woman he used to date, or maybe still was dating and didn't really care for her at all. Levy tried to push the last possibility out her mind but the more she did so the more persistently it came fighting back. Unfortunately, she didn't have much time to think, as the man on her bed began to stir.

"Hey there" he smiled sleepily, blinking a few times.

"Hey" she smiled back, determined not to assume the worst. "Rest well?"

"Mmhmm" Gajeel grinned. "Read for something to eat" he winked and pulled Levy towards him, nibbling on her neck.

"I..ii..think we should go into work" Levy muttered, fighting the amazing feelings Gajeel was creating. He stopped to look at her confused. "It's just we've been away for a few days and I don't want people getting suspicious" she blushed.

Gajeel let out a hearty laugh. "Lucy already knows, and Guildarts wouldn't care less. Besides, I'm not done with you"

Levy squealed as he pulled her into his lap, grinding her against him. Not one to be put off, Levy stilted his arms. "Please? I kinda want to leave the apartment"

With a sigh Gajeel let her go and began to dress. "I guess I don't wanna upset the boss either. Alright, let's go"

The pair arrived at the office not long after and with very little awkwardness. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was soon about to change. They approached their study room and noticed the chaos around them.

"What the hell happened here?" Levy questioned, looking around at the mess.

Gajeel shook his head, taking in the smell of blood. "I made a mess earlier, but not this bad. Something else has happened here"

Levy's scream alerted him to some danger, but hit him harder with a flashback. He had heard that scream before, he couldn't quite place it. It filled him with panic and fear and an almost animalistic need to protect. He rushed into his office, running straight towards Levy.

"Are you alright?" he asked, panic clear in his voice as her surveyed her face and body. She nodded but pointed down at the ground. When Gajeel turned to look, he saw a badly wounded man curled on the floor. As the two moved close, Gajeel realised it was, in fact, his boss.

"Guildarts!" he called out. "Levy call an ambulance!"

The familiar scent of the hospital was already brining tears to Levy's eyes when Gajeel brought over a cup of coffee. Guildarts was stable, injured but stable. Levy took slow sips.

"I just can't understand who would do this to him" she mumbled "Or why"

Gajeel nodded "It looked pretty personal. Like whoever did it had beef with him or something" Gajeel turned to Levy as he heard her small sniffs. "There's no need to cry! Doctor says he will be alright after some rest"

Levy nodded. "I've just always hated hospitals. And what with Natsu before and now this. It just sucks"

Gajeel pulled her close and held onto her. Memories of her scream still haunted him as he tried desperately to remember where he had heard them before. She cried softly into his shirt, shaking slightly. He ran his fingers through her hair. God it was so soft. He wasn't sure why, but he wanted to remain like this for a while. The vibrating in his pocket alerted him to other plans. As he pulled out his phone, Gajeel saw the text from Juvia and a missed call. He groaned and rolled his eyes before turning to Levy.

"I need to go take care of some stuff at the office. I'll be right back though ok?"

Levy looked at him through tearstained eyes. "You're leaving?"

Gajeel nodded. "I will be back before you know it okay. And Lucy is already on her way"

Levy nodded back. "Okay" she said quietly. Gajeel leaned down and kissed the top of her head. For a moment she wondered if he'd say anything further, but then he moved back and walked away, leaving her silent.

"Damnit Juvia what the hell?" Gray grumbled as he tossed back yet another shot of vodka. "I thought you said he was gonna be here?"

Juvia sipped her cocktail calmly. "And he will. He's just…tardy. He needs to hear what you found" she replied.

Gray nodded. "I know I know. I just wish he'd step up. After last time when…"

Juvia shot him a dark look. "We all know that last time was a joint mistake. It will not happen again. That is why he has to know this"

With a burst through the bar door, the pair were greeted by the man in question. He ordered a beer and sat between them, face red from his obvious rush.

"Took you long enough" Gray spat. Gajeel was about to pound his head in when Juvia's hand on his arm held him back.

"Guildarts has been attacked at the office. We had to take him to the hospital" Gajeel replied, almost to himself.

Juvia nodded. "Makes sense"

Gajeel looked from Gray to Juvia. "Does someone wanna tell me what the hell is going on?"

Gray sighed. "We found your research. The stuff Sting stole. It's been coded well, changed a bit but it's essentially still there. He's set up base nearby, we're not totally sure where yet. But he's been doing some research on the girl you're with. Levy? He's looking for something on her and we don't know why"

Gajeel stared at Gray for a long while. "You think she's involved? No way! She's a scientist, like me. She has absolutely nothing to do with it" he grumbled.

"Regardless" Juvia muttered "He's watching her and you need to be careful. If he finds her, he finds you and you could be in serious trouble"

"Be careful. Got it" Gajeel muttered. "Any news on the girl?"

"Nothing" Gray sighed. "We've tried all the trackers based on your description, searched every female like to Sting we could find. We will keep looking but you have to face the possibility that something serious may have happened"

Gajeel put his face in his hands. He really hated hearing those words, especially since he knew they were true. "Alright. Anything else?"

Gray smirked at Juvia. "Just don't break her heart, Levy that is. If Sting finds you, it means moving again and she gets left behind". Juvia nodded in agreement.

"Screw the both of you" Gajeel grumbled, despite knowing they were right.

Oooooh. What's going on hmmm? Wait and see :P
