Chapter 7: A Doctor's Wish, A Reaper's Glasses, And A Maiden's Trust… All Shattered. (Part 1)

"Tell him it isn't true! Come on Auntie Anne, just tell him it wasn't you!" The young red haired girl cried and pleaded with the older woman standing in front of her.

"I'm afraid that's not possible, my dear girl..." The woman said slowly making her way towards her and her brother, as she took a knife out of her dress and pointed it towards them.

"I am Jack The Ripper, and now it is time for the both of you to die, as you shouldn't have been born in the first place!" She yelled. Then Madame Red, getting ready to strike, ran towards them. Amy's eyes widen. She couldn't believe it. She refused to believe that her beloved aunt, who was like a mother to her was the serial killer who had murdered all those women. She refused to believe that those kind eyes of hers were now looking at Ciel and her with pure hatred. But once she accepted it, Amy closed her eyes and hugged her brother scared. And as Ciel hugged her back, Amy couldn't hold back her crying any longer.

'I don't want to die…' She thought as the tears fell down her face.

'I want to live just a little bit longer…"

*Slash*

And just like that the knife had struck down.

….

48 Hours Earlier:

"Thank you, Sebastian… for helping me today."

"There's no need to thank me, my lady." The red eyed butler said as he balanced another book into his arms. "If I couldn't help my young mistress with something as simple as this, what kind of a butler would I be?" He then added, looking down at her and giving her a smile. Amy stared back at him for a few seconds before smiling back at him, and shaking her head.

"You would be a normal one!" She then told him. "You do so much more than a regular butler Sebastian… Ciel should definitely give you some time off." Sebastian said nothing and watched as she continued to look through the many shelves of the Phantomhive library, his eyes going pink for a second.

It had been just over two weeks since the whole rain incident and this was the first time Amy had been able to leave her room other than for bathing in all of that time, meaning she was very excited. Madame Red was coming to visit today as well so that put her in a great mood too. She really couldn't wait to see her again. She was also excited because if she could go out of her room, that meant that in a few more days she would be able to go back outside to the gardens and run, and jump, and feel the fresh breeze on her skin…

Though not everything was perfect. She was still a little angry at Ciel. He didn't go once to check on her or even ask Sebastian to ask about her well being in all of those days, but she wasn't going to be put down by that any longer. She had made the choice of just ignoring her brother's antics and go back to live with Madam Red as soon as the doctor gave her the okay for going outside once more. 'It'll be for the best…' She thought and then smiled as she spotted a large leather-bound book in one of the corners of the top shelves. She got on her tip-toes and tried to reach for it, but it was no use, she couldn't reach it. She was just too short.'Come on… just a a little bit more…" She thought as she tried once more. She even tried jumping a little, but before her feet could touch the ground once more, she suddenly felt a pressure around her waist and next thing she knew the book was in her hands. Amy immediately looked down to see what the pressure was and her eyes widen as Sebastian's gloved hand came into view. She then looked up, and for a second emerald green met ruby red, as they stared at each other. Though the longer she stared, his eyes became that glowing pink she so despised, making her close her eyes in fright and gasp as she gave a small backwards jump trying to get away from him. Sebastian noticed and smirked, bending down to her level and placing a small kiss on her cheek, causing her to open her eyes.

Their eyes met again, and Amy clutched the book she had been holding tight against her chest. She then immediately looked down at her feet embarrassed, as her cheeks turned a new shade of red she didn't even know was possible. 'I-I Don't know what to do or say… his eyes… and then he kissed me! Why?!' Amy then thought as she looked for something to say to the butler. "Sebastian… I-I w-" She then started stuttering without thinking but stopped as her voice was so shaky she was sure he wasn't even going to be able to understand her.

"What is it young mistress? What is it that you wish to tell me?" Sebastian then asked and Amy sighed as she gained the courage to look back up at him once more and said,"That'll b-be all f-for to-day Sebastian… t-thank you… f-for hel-ping m-me a-again." She then went to take the other books in his arms and starting walking towards the door. But because she was in such a hurry to get away from there as soon as possible, she ended up tripping over her own two feet, sending all the books flying into the air. She gasped and closed her eyes, waiting for the impact to come, but it never did. Come to think of it she didn't hear any of the books hitting the ground as well. She opened her eyes and saw Sebastian looking down at her with an annoyed look on his face as he held her in one arm and in the other held all of the books, stacked in a perfectly straight line.

"Honestly, my lady, you're so clumsy I'm starting to wonder if I shall give you your etiquette lessons myself…" He then said as he helped her stand correctly. "And as for these… there's no need to carry them yourself my lady. I'll carry them for you." Amy sighed and rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly, before thanking him once more. 'It seems that's all I've been doing these days…' Amy couldn't help but think as they made their way out of the library.

At the same, in his study, Ciel closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance as he finished burning a letter with the royal seal on it. He then thought of the contents of said letter and sighed. Her Majesty, Queen Victoria, wanted him to go to London immediately and eradicate Jack the Ripper, a serial killer who had been murdering random prostitutes in gruesome ways.

'If those are her Majesty's wishes then I shall go and get it over with…' He said to himself as he went to ring the bell to call Sebastian into his study. I mean, it wasn't like he had much of a choice really. He was the head of the Phantomhives and the Queen's guard dog, after all, and it was his sworn duty to ensure her Majesty's desires were fulfilled. But before Ciel could ponder on his thoughts any longer there was a knock on his door.

'Damned demon sure took his sweet time…' Ciel couldn't help but think as he gave him to okay to come in.

"You called for me, young Lord?" He asked him with one of his fake smiles and Ciel rolled his eyes at this.

"Sebastian," Ciel then said. "…prepare one of the carriages as well as my luggage. Also tell May-Rin to prepare Amy's..."

"We're going to London."

….

Meanwhile, somewhere in London, the loud screams of a woman were heard throughout the streets, before a huge splashing sound was heard as well, and a deathly silence fell over the night once more.

Then two voices, a man's and woman's, started laughing maniacally at what they had done, unaware of the pair of bright green eyes that was watching them, from above.

'How disgusting… wasting souls without a motive…' The owner of said green eyes couldn't help but think as it continued to stare at the pair below him. 'Oh well, I guess it really can't be helped now...' It then said to himself as it stood up from the rooftop it had been standing on and turned to look up at the moon. It wasn't a full moon night but it would be soon, tomorrow even. He could just feel it.

"If William won't do anything to stop this soul wasting," It then picked up a large sword that had been laying next to its feet, and jumped into the sky, landing on another rooftop.

"I'll simply have to do it myself…"

….

AN: Hey, guys! (That is assuming anyone is still reading this story, that is…)

Finally posted a new chapter! I know it's been a long time since I've updated and I'm so sorry but I just had a lot of stress with school this year and I had to put a halt to my writing and many other things for a while.

But don't worry I will continue updating HSG till the end, it'll just take me a little longer than expected, so please be patient with me and stay tuned for Amy's upcoming adventures.
