"This is really nice," Haley said looking around the formal restaurant. It was romantic and high-end and there was low music playing in the background.
Nate grinned at her over his menu. "Yeah, everyone always went on dates here but this is the first time I'm coming here.'
"Really?" Haley asked, clearly pleased. "Well, it's a first for both of us."
It was silent as they looked over the menu before Nate broke it with a chuckle and put his menu down. "Okay, nothing on this menu looks like anything I'd ever eat."
"Oh thank God," Haley said with a laugh. "I didn't want to be rude, but yeah I don't really think some of this stuff is edible," she teased.
"Wanna get out of here and go to the diner?" Nate asked her, his brows raised.
She nodded and grinned at him. "A burger and fries sounds a lot better than this," she said gesturing to the menu.

"So, what happened?" Lucas asked his mom that night.
Karen sighed and shook her head while taking their dishes into the kitchen, with Lucas following her. "Nothing out of the ordinary. Keith didn't exactly have a will planned out. So everything's going to me because I was his wife."
"But Dan's not getting any of it?"
"I don't see how that would happen," Karen answered looking at Lucas curiously. "Why do you ask that?"
Lucas rolled his eyes and leaned against the counter. "You know, Dan. He'll do anything he can to get more. He's greedy."
Just as Karen was going to answer a knock sounded throughout the house and Karen looked at Lucas an eyebrow raised with a small smirk on her lips. "Brooke's coming over?"
Lucas just tilted his head to the side and she said, "You know how I feel about girls staying over Lucas."
"Look, Ma, her parents aren't home. They haven't been. If I can get her to stay over here at least one night so she's not by herself, then I'll do it. I'll even sleep on the couch."
Karen sighed, "You're a big boy, Lucas. You're eighteen, you can make your own decisions."
Lucas nodded his head in thanks and went to answer the door. "I'd just appreciate it if nothing happened under my roof," she called to him.

Jake brought in the popcorn and set it on his coffee table and grinned at Peyton. "Popcorn's done obviously, we can finally start the movie."
Peyton grinned as he sat down next to her and press the play button on the DVD remote. "So how's everything?"
"Great," Jake answered with a smile. "Figure, everyday is better then the last."
"Do you ever miss her?" Peyton asked hesitantly, meaning Nikki.
"No," Jake answered neutrally. "What's with all the questions?"
Peyton shrugged and play with the curls of her springy blonde hair. "Just wanted to get to know you a little better."
Jake grinned at her and turned the movie on pause, he turned sideways so that he fully-faced Peyton. "Alright instead of watching a movie, how about we play twenty questions?"
Peyton, a little reserved nodded her shyly. "Alright."
"Okay, I'll go first," Jake said with a boyish grin on his face.

Laying down in bed, Brooke grinned as she felt Lucas' fingers drift up and down her clothed back while laying on his bed, watching television.
"How you feeling these past few days?" Lucas questioned, breaking the silence.
Shrugging, Brooke tilted her head up at him. "Fine?" she answered unsure. "I mean, my project's done and over with and we graduate in a little less than a month. Haley didn't kill me. Why wouldn't I be fine?"
"Because Peyton's pregnant," Lucas said.
"And of course you just had to bring up the giraffe in the room."
Lucas frowned as he chuckled. "I think you mean elephant."
"Oh whatever," she huffed as she sat up. "Why do you gotta bring that up? We could have had a great night..."
"Not if you're worrying about her and what's gonna happen when she gets the results back."
The tiny brunette rolled her eyes at him and responded, "She should be getting the call tomorrow."
"And..." Lucas said with his brows raised at her.
"And what?" Brooke played with the purple gemstone ring she had on her hand. "What do you want me to say?"
Lucas sat up and took her fiddling hands in his own. "I want you to stop dancing around everything and stop saying your fine. Just tell me what's going on in that beautiful head of yours."
Staring into his clear blue eyes, Brooke swore she could get lost in them for hours before she expelled a breath. "I'm just nervous, I guess. I mean, you don't wanna be like Dan and you're with me and Peyton might be pregnant with you baby," Brooke sighed and closed her eyes, resting her forehead on his shoulder.
"I know it is, baby. I'm just as nervous as you are. I mean, I might be a Dad," Lucas said quietly. "And I'm hoping to God I'm not, but, if I am I need to know you're gonna be there with me."
Brooke leaned her chin on his shoulder and looked up at him. "You keep asking me that."
"Because I feel like at the earliest opportunity you're gonna leave, if she is," he answered honestly.
Brooke slowly sat up on her knees and rested her forearms on either side of his neck. "How about I convince you that I'm staying?"

Haley almost choked on her drink as she took a sip and looked at Nathan, tears in her eyes from laughter. "You can't be serious," she asked taking deep breaths.
Nodding his head, Nathan grinned. "Yeah, I'm serious. I don't think I would lie about some guy almost raping me in Arizona."
Covering her mouth, Haley tried to contain another giggle. "I'm sorry it's not funny."
"I mean, I guess it's my fault," Nathan said shrugging and grinned at the girl across from him. "I might have inadvertently led him on. I mean, I'm irresistible."
"And modest," Haley said with a small grin.
Nathan looked at her and nodded. "Guilty."
Haley and Nathan stared at each other before Nathan asked, "You done?"
Nodding, Haley put her napkin on her plate with her unfinished burger. "Yeah, gonna walk me home?"
Nathan stood up and offered Haley his hand. "Yep, and I'm not gonna screw it up this time."

Looking at Jake, Peyton bit her lip while she was staring at the empty bowl of popcorn. "So, this was fun," she said nodding at him.
Jake grinned at her and said, "Yeah, we should do this again. Soon."
"Definitely," Peyton said quietly. She really wanted to ask him if he remember anything from that night. But... screw it she would. "Okay, I really need to ask you something. And it's really important."
"What's up?" Jake asked his brows drawn together in curiosity.
Here it goes... "What do you remember of the night you cheated on Haley?" She asked and cringed.
"Why do you want to know?" Jake asked frowning at her. "It's not a night I like to try and remember."
Peyton sighed. "I know, and I'm sorry. It's just this is important."
"Uhm..." Jake breathed and rubbed his forehead in concentration. "Not much really. I mean, I remember talking to you for a little bit and..." he trailed off shaking his head. "I remember playing some pool with Brooke and Nate and then that's it. I mean, I don't even remember sleeping with Brooke."
"That's cause you didn't," Peyton breathed quietly.
Jake's eyes widened and he stared at the nervous blonde girl in front of him.
"You sorta slept with me."

Arching her back, Brooke let out a breathy moans while Lucas' hands caressed her breasts through her demi-lace bra. "I like that, boyfriend."
Lucas grinned against her neck and rasped, "I liked that sound, girlfriend." Suckling on her pulse, Lucas' hands traveled down her stomach and stopped right at the lace of her matching underwear.
"Don't tease me, Lucas," Brooke said commandingly, and gently grabbed his face so she could kiss his lips.
"It's not teasing if I plan to finish what I started," Lucas answered in a husky tone while commandeering to her teasing kisses and sweet red lips.
Brooke giggled her turned her head to the side, closing her eyes as his lips went back to attacking her neck. Opening her eyes she tensed when she saw a picture of Peyton, herself, and Lucas on his night stand.
How could she be doing this? How could she be, almost, having sex with her best friend's ex-boyfriend who she was still in love with and quite possibly be carrying his baby.
Obviously feeling the change in the hot-blooded brunette, Lucas lifted his head and looked down at her curiously. "What's the matter, Pretty Girl?"
Brooke frowned and covered her face before pushing him off of her. "I gotta go," she muttered.
"Woah, calm down, speedy. Tell me what I did," Lucas said grabbing hold of her wrist and trapping her next to him.
"What you did? What we almost did, Lucas!" Brooke snapped at him. "I can't believe I almost had sex with you." She put her head in her hand.
"People in relationships tend to do this, Brooke. But if you're not ready..." he said trailing off and kissed her shoulder. "It's okay."
"Oh, I'm ready. I've been ready. I'm just not ready for the consequences after we do this step," she said quietly and looked back at him. "I'm not ready for her to find out. How can I sleep with you if I'm not ready to face all of this?"
Lucas cupped her face and looked at the beautiful girl in his arms. "We don't have to do anything you don't want to. I love you and, one day, we will have face all this. One day doesn't have to be today."
"But one day is coming up pretty damn fast," Brooke sighed, and crawled onto his lap, resting her head in the hollow of his neck and breathed in his scent deeply. A fresh, clean, and crisp scent she was getting to used to.
Lucas kissed the top of her head while he rubbed her back. "Well, we should probably put some clothes out. Don't wanna explain this to my mom."
"How 'bout to me?"
